*Roblox Halloween Limiteds rose 3% to 17% from September to October in each of the last three years, beating the rest of the classic market.*

Roblox Halloween Limiteds really do get more expensive in October, and the pattern has repeated in every year RBX Invest has clean sale data for. A Limited is an item Roblox has stopped selling, so the only copies left are the ones players already own. Across 102 Roblox-made Limiteds with spooky names, the median item sold for 3.0% more in October 2023 than it did in September, 17.0% more in October 2024, and 10.8% more in October 2025. Over the same three stretches the rest of the classic Limited market (the older hats and gear Roblox made itself) moved -3.2%, -0.9% and +1.6%. The [Pumpkin Bucket](/item/17527923) shows it plainly, with a higher average sale price in all three Octobers. The catch is size: a 10% to 17% move does not cover Roblox's 30% marketplace fee on a resale.

**Quick answer:** Halloween-themed classic Limiteds have beaten the rest of the Roblox Limited market from September into October in each of the last three years, by roughly 6 to 18 percentage points. The move is real but small, so it shows up best in item-for-item trades, where Roblox takes no cut.

| Year | Spooky basket, Sept to Oct | Rest of the classic market | Spooky items that rose |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| 2023 | +3.0% | -3.2% | 63% of 49 items |
| 2024 | +17.0% | -0.9% | 66% of 44 items |
| 2025 | +10.8% | +1.6% | 72% of 46 items |

## Do Roblox Halloween Limiteds go up in October? Yes, by 3% to 17% a year

Every October since 2023, the median Halloween-themed classic Limited has gained on the rest of the market. The gap was small in 2023 (about 6 points), wide in 2024 (about 18 points), and solid in 2025 (about 9 points).

The share of items that rose tells the same story from another angle. In October 2025, 72% of the spooky items with enough sales to measure closed the month above their September average, against 54% of everything else Roblox made. In 2023, when most of the classic market was drifting down, 63% of spooky items still went up.

None of these are huge numbers. A median move of 10% on a 3,000 R$ hat is 300 R$, and Robux (R$) is the only currency any of this is priced in. The consistency is what makes the pattern worth knowing.

## When does the Halloween run start? In September, before the costumes go on

The run-up begins earlier than most people expect. Measuring August to September, the spooky basket beat the wider classic market in all four years with data, including this one:

| Year | Spooky basket, Aug to Sept | Rest of the classic market |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 2023 | +5.3% | -3.5% |
| 2024 | +2.0% | -2.4% |
| 2025 | +0.4% | -1.2% |
| 2026 | -1.1% | -3.8% |

September is a weak month for Roblox Limiteds generally. School starts, engagement drops, and prices sag. Halloween items sag less, or gain outright. Through September 27, 2026 the spooky basket is down 1.1% while the rest of the classic market is down 3.8%, which is the same shape as the three years before it, and it suggests the crowd has not front-run the move this year.

If you want to own a Halloween item before the seasonal bid shows up, August is the quiet window. By mid-October, other people are already paying up.

## Which Halloween Limiteds went up most reliably?

These ten classic Limiteds rose from September to October in all three measured years. The percentage is the median of those three moves, calculated from the average price of actual recorded sales in each month. RAP, short for recent average price, is Roblox's own smoothed average of an item's sale history, and the lowest ask is the cheapest copy a reseller has listed right now.

| Item | Median Sept to Oct move | RAP (R$) | Copies | Lowest ask (R$) |

| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/182640918?size=150) [Sinister Q.](/item/182640918) | +20.4% | 29,513 | 3,182 | 29,900 |
| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/17450053?size=150) [Sinister P.](/item/17450053) | +17.2% | 6,121 | 35,034 | 6,000 |
| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/37819478?size=150) [Sinister S.](/item/37819478) | +16.8% | 14,018 | 10,182 | 14,250 |

Two things stand out. The steadiest movers are cheap, common items with thousands of copies, because those actually trade often enough for a seasonal bid to show up in the numbers. The scarce Halloween gems (a gem is a scarce, high-value Limited) sell a handful of times a year, so their prices jump around for reasons that have nothing to do with the calendar, and our guide to the [rarest Halloween Limiteds](/articles/roblox-halloween-limiteds-rarest-items) covers that end of the market. If you want to browse the wider families these items sit in, the [skull collection](/collections/skulls) and the [mask collection](/collections/masks) rank them live, and the [classic hats collection](/collections/classic-hats) covers the Roblox-made hats overall.

### The Pumpkin Bucket is the cleanest example

![Pumpkin Bucket](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/17527923?size=420)

Released on October 31, 2009 for 15 R$, the Pumpkin Bucket now has 4,663 copies and a RAP of 12,813 R$. Its average sale price went from about 9,970 R$ in September 2023 to 15,560 R$ that October, from 8,160 R$ to 10,530 R$ in 2024, and from 13,680 R$ to 16,520 R$ in 2025. Three Octobers, three gains, in a market where the typical classic item was flat or falling in two of them.

## Does the October bump beat Roblox's 30% resale fee? Usually not

Reselling a classic Limited costs you 30% of the sale price, so you keep 70%. Run the best-case version of the trade and the problem is obvious.

### What the fee does to a Sinister P. flip

![Sinister P.](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/17450053?size=420)

[Sinister P.](/item/17450053) has 35,034 copies and sold 1,114 of them in the last twelve months, which is busy traffic for a hat from 2009. In September 2025 it averaged about 5,870 R$. In October it averaged about 7,226 R$, a 23% gain and one of the better single-item moves in the basket. Buy one at 5,870 R$ and sell at 7,226 R$ and Roblox's fee takes 2,168 R$, leaving you 5,058 R$. You lost money on a trade that went your way.

The break-even math is fixed: you need to sell at about 1.43 times what you paid just to get your Robux back. Rounded up, that is a 43% gain, and no year in this data produced a basket-wide median move anywhere close to it. A few single items did clear that bar, like the Ruby Serpent Mummy Mask at a median +51.5%, though it trades around 879 R$ and the whole move is a few hundred Robux.

Where the pattern does pay is inside trades. Roblox charges a 30% fee on Robux added to a trade, and an item-for-item swap carries no such fee. Trading a flat, non-seasonal Limited for a spooky one in August, then swapping back in November, keeps the whole move. Both sides need an active Roblox Plus subscription (4.99 USD per month) for the trade window to open at all, and classic Limiteds carry a 2-day holding period after a trade before the item can move again. Buying a copy from a reseller instead puts a 7-day hold on it, which is worth counting backwards from October 31 if you plan to sell into the last week. Our [holding periods guide](/articles/roblox-limited-holding-periods) has the full set of timers.

None of this is financial advice. Limiteds can fall as easily as they rise, and Robux spent on a hat is Robux you cannot spend on anything else.

## What happens after Halloween? Spooky items lag the market into January

The seasonal bid does not stick around. Measuring October into November, then October into January, the spooky basket trailed the wider classic market in all three years:

| Span | Spooky basket | Rest of the classic market |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Oct 2023 to Jan 2024 | -3.0% | +8.4% |
| Oct 2024 to Jan 2025 | +6.7% | +31.6% |
| Oct 2025 to Jan 2026 | -0.5% | +16.3% |

The stretch from November into January has been strong for classic Limiteds in each of the last three years. Halloween items sit out that rally. In the winter of 2024 to 2025 the average classic Limited gained 31.6% while the spooky basket managed 6.7%. Holding a pumpkin hat through the holidays has cost you the winter rally three times running. Our [seasonal patterns guide](/articles/roblox-economy-seasonal-patterns) covers the rest of the year's rhythm.

## Does more trading happen in October, or just higher prices?

Volume tells a softer story. Recorded sales across the basket went from 3,645 in September 2023 to 3,401 that October, from 2,427 to 2,537 in 2024, and from 2,449 to 2,723 in 2025. Two of three Octobers were busier, by 5% and 11%.

That mix fits what the price data shows. A modest number of extra buyers arrive wanting a costume piece, sellers know the season and hold firm, and the cheapest listings get cleared without a flood of new supply. You can watch the same thing happen live on the [items leaderboard](/items-leaderboard), and signed-in members can track below-RAP listings in the [Deals feed](/deals).

## How we measured this

The basket is 102 Limiteds created by Roblox whose names carry a Halloween theme (pumpkin, ghost, skull, witch, vampire, bat, zombie, sinister, and similar), of which 67 were released in October. The oldest dates to October 5, 2007. Egg hunt items and branded fashion pieces that matched on a word were removed by hand.

For each item and month we took the average price of recorded sales weighted by the number of sales, and kept only items with at least three sales in both months of a pair. That leaves 44 to 49 spooky items and roughly 1,000 other classic Limiteds in each yearly comparison. Every figure is a median across items, so one wild print cannot drag the number around.

Three Octobers is a short record, and prices in the 2023 sample come from a market with fewer active traders than today's. The pattern has held every year we can measure, and three years of history can still break. Anything comparing [what an item is worth against what it last sold for](/articles/roblox-limited-price-higher-than-rap) is also worth reading before you act on a single month's average.

Figures come from RBX Invest's own catalog and recorded sale history for Roblox-made Limiteds, covering August 2023 through September 27, 2026, with fee and holding-period rules checked against Roblox's Marketplace documentation at create.roblox.com on September 28, 2026.

## FAQ

### Do Roblox Halloween Limiteds go up in October?

Yes. The median Halloween-themed classic Limited gained 3.0% from September to October in 2023, 17.0% in 2024, and 10.8% in 2025, while the rest of the classic Limited market moved -3.2%, -0.9% and +1.6% over the same spans.

### When is the best time to buy a Halloween Limited?

August, based on three years of data. Halloween items already outperform the market in September, so by the time October arrives the seasonal bid is usually in the price. In 2023 the basket gained 5.3% in September while the rest of the market fell 3.5%.

### Can you make Robux flipping Halloween Limiteds?

Rarely. Roblox takes 30% of a classic Limited resale, so you need roughly a 43% gain just to get your Robux back, and the best median October move in this data was 17%. The seasonal move is easier to capture in item-for-item trades, which carry no marketplace fee.

### Do Halloween Limiteds keep going up after October 31?

No. From October into January, the spooky basket returned -3.0%, +6.7% and -0.5% in the last three winters, while the rest of the classic market returned +8.4%, +31.6% and +16.3%. Halloween items sit out the holiday rally.

### Which Halloween Limiteds move most reliably?

Cheap, high-copy items that trade often. The Ruby Serpent Mummy Mask, Pumpkin Bucket, Halloween Plungerpack, Brighteyes' Halloween Leftovers and Happy Jack-o'-Lantern all rose from September to October in each of the last three years, with median gains of 22% to 52%.

### Do more Halloween Limiteds sell in October?

Slightly, in most years. Recorded sales across the basket rose 5% from September to October 2024 and 11% in 2025, and fell 7% in 2023. Sale counts move only a little, while prices move more.

### Do you need Roblox Plus to trade Halloween Limiteds?

Yes, for trading. Both accounts in a trade need an active Roblox Plus subscription, which costs 4.99 USD per month, and selling a Limited on the resale market also requires it. Buying a resale copy needs no subscription.

### Is RAP a reliable way to track the Halloween move?

Partly. RAP updates by only one tenth of the gap between a sale price and the old RAP each time an item sells, so it lags a fast seasonal move. On items that sell a few times a month, the lowest ask from resellers reacts first, which is why our tables show both.
