*The cheapest way to get a Domino Crown in Roblox is the Festive Domino Crown on resale, listed from 45,000 Robux as of September 2026.*

Getting a Domino Crown in Roblox means buying one from another player, because every crown in the family is off sale, meaning Roblox itself no longer sells it. The original 2007 [Domino Crown](/item/1031429) has 25 copies in existence and no listing a real buyer would ever hit. The cheapest one you can actually own is the [Festive Domino Crown](/item/2606192523), listed from 45,000 Robux (R$) as of September 2026. Six crowns in the family are Limiteds, which means Roblox-made items with a fixed supply that players are allowed to resell and trade, and those six are your only routes in.

**Quick answer:** Roblox no longer sells any Domino Crown, so you buy one from another player on the item's own Marketplace page. Prices as of September 2026 start at 45,000 Robux for the Festive Domino Crown and climb to 6,800,000 for the Red Domino Crown, with the 2007 original effectively off the market.

## Which Domino Crowns can you buy? Six of them, starting at 45,000 Robux

Every crown below is a Limited, so it has a fixed number of copies and a resale market where owners list copies at whatever price they choose. The lowest ask is the cheapest copy currently listed. RAP is the Recent Average Price, a smoothed average Roblox keeps of an item's sale history. Figures come from RBX Invest catalog data and Roblox's own item details as of September 29, 2026. The table runs cheapest first, which for this family is trader consensus on value read from the bottom up.

| Crown | Copies | RAP, Sep 2026 (R$) | Lowest ask (R$) |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/2606192523?size=150) [Festive Domino Crown](/item/2606192523) | 848 | 52,731 | 45,000 |
| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/4390890198?size=150) [Viridian Domino Crown](/item/4390890198) | 2,235 | 127,527 | 128,999 |
| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/1560601706?size=150) [Counterfeit Domino Crown](/item/1560601706) | 505 | 193,423 | 369,696 |
| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/68258723?size=150) [Bluesteel Domino Crown](/item/68258723) | 420 | 1,086,250 | 2,160,000 |
| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/42211680?size=150) [Red Domino Crown](/item/42211680) | 247 | 2,653,087 | 6,800,000 |
| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/1031429?size=150) [Domino Crown](/item/1031429) | 25 | 5,726,071 | 68,686,868,686 |

That last number is real, and it is a joke. Roblox's own item data returns 68,686,868,686 Robux as the lowest resale price on the original crown, which is an owner keeping their copy visible in the catalog while pricing it where nobody can buy it. Treat the original as unavailable and work down the list. You can browse the whole crown category, live, on the [crowns collection page](/collections/crowns).

## Why can't you buy the original Domino Crown? Because 25 copies exist and none are for sale

![Domino Crown](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/1031429?size=420)

Roblox published the original Domino Crown on June 5, 2007 as a prize for the Domino Rally Building Contest. It was never put on sale, at any price. The Roblox Wiki's [Domino Crown page](https://roblox.fandom.com/wiki/Catalog:Domino_Crown) documents a tiny handout list: contest winners, two players who visited the Roblox office through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, a visitor to Roblox headquarters, a few players with connections to the team, and two who reported bugs. Those details come from community records, so treat them as lore. The outcome is in Roblox's own data: 25 copies.

The same wiki dates the crown's switch to Limited status to October 6, 2009, which is when it became tradeable. It has changed hands rarely enough since then that its RAP of 5.7 million moves in slow steps. Trader consensus puts a copy well above that RAP, because an item this thin almost never sells, and a RAP that stale sits below what a holder would accept. The practical version: budgeting for the original crown is wishful thinking. Pick a variant you can actually find on sale.

## What is the cheapest Domino Crown? The Festive Domino Crown, from 45,000 Robux

![Festive Domino Crown](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/2606192523?size=420)

Roblox sold the Festive Domino Crown on December 12, 2018 for 12,000 Robux on a 24-hour timer, and 848 copies went out. It uses its own mesh, a holly frame holding three dominos, so it looks different from the gold original. It became a Limited on December 26, 2022, and today its cheapest listed copy is 45,000 Robux, which is under its RAP of 52,731. When the cheapest ask sits below RAP, somebody wants out faster than the market is paying.

The next two rungs up:

**Viridian Domino Crown**, 128,999 Robux. This one came from the Black Friday sale on November 30, 2019, also at 12,000 Robux, on a two-day timer. With 2,235 copies it has the widest supply in the family, and that shows up as the tidiest pricing: its lowest ask is within about 1% of its RAP. That closeness is what a normal, liquid Limited looks like.

**Counterfeit Domino Crown**, 369,696 Robux. Roblox published this one on April 1, 2018 as an April Fools item, a deliberately battered knockoff of the real crown, sold at 10,000 Robux with 500 in stock, and 505 copies exist today. It is a Limited Unique, so every copy carries a serial number showing the order it was bought in. Its lowest ask sits about 91% above its RAP of 193,423. An ask that far above RAP is what traders call projected, meaning priced well past where the item last actually sold. Nobody has to pay it, and until someone does, RAP is the better guide to its value.

## How do you buy a Domino Crown on resale, and what does it cost on top?

The flow is short. Open the crown's Marketplace page on roblox.com, scroll to the resellers list, and buy the cheapest copy. You do not need any subscription to buy a resale copy, and you do not need to negotiate with anyone.

Three costs and rules worth knowing before you click.

**You cannot flip it immediately.** Buy a Limited on the resale market and there is a holding period, a set wait before you are allowed to list it again. For a classic Limited bought on resale that wait is seven days, and a copy received in a trade is locked for two. [Roblox's marketplace documentation](https://create.roblox.com/docs/marketplace/marketplace-fees-and-commissions) describes Limited resale holding periods as lasting up to 30 days depending on how the item was bought. Our [holding periods guide](/articles/roblox-limited-holding-periods) breaks down each case.

**Selling later costs 30%.** On a classic Limited resale the marketplace fee is 30%, so the seller keeps 70% of the sale price. Round numbers: buy a crown for 50,000 Robux, sell it later for the same 50,000, and 35,000 lands in your account. To get your 50,000 back you need a sale near 71,500, roughly 1.43 times what you paid. Any plan that starts with "I'll just resell it" needs that multiple to clear first.

**Reselling needs Roblox Plus.** Listing a Limited for resale requires an active Roblox Plus subscription, which costs $4.99 USD per month. The buyer needs nothing. The Roblox Plus purchase discount, 10% off for your first two months and 20% from the third consecutive month, applies to items Roblox sells and not to resale purchases, so it will not shave anything off a crown bought from another player.

None of this is financial advice. A crown is a hat you like wearing that happens to hold value, and thin markets move against sellers as easily as buyers.

## Can you trade for a Domino Crown instead of buying one? Yes, if both accounts have Roblox Plus

Every crown in the table above is a classic Limited, which makes all six eligible for Roblox's player-to-player Trade system. Both accounts need an active Roblox Plus subscription for a trade to go through, and trading is currently restricted for accounts based in South Korea.

Trading is how most mid-tier and gem-tier crowns actually move, gem being our word for the scarce, high-value end of the market, because a holder sitting on a 2-million-Robux hat usually wants other items in return. You can sweeten an offer with Robux, within limits: Roblox takes a 30% fee on Robux added to a trade, and the amount you add is capped at 50% of the offered items' value after that fee. On a 300-Robux item that ceiling is 150 Robux post-fee.

Work out what your side is really worth before you send anything. Our guide on [how to evaluate a Roblox trade](/articles/how-to-evaluate-a-roblox-trade) walks through the math, and the [items leaderboard](/items-leaderboard) shows where each crown's price sits today.

## Which Domino Crowns can't be bought at all? The five that never went Limited

Five crowns in the family were handouts or purchase bonuses. None of them are Limiteds, which means no resale market, no trading, and no way in once the window closed.

| Crown | How it was given out | Available now |
| --- | --- | --- |
| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/126300691030381?size=150) [Crown of RIVALS](/item/126300691030381) | Claimed during the Roblox Innovation Awards broadcast, September 2026 | No |

| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/128304149850143?size=150) [Platinum Domino Crown](/item/128304149850143) | Bonus for buying 22,500 Robux, November 2024 to January 2025 | No |
| Mecha Domino Crown | Code in the Xbox One S Roblox Bundle, redeemable through 2023 | No |
| Tix Domino Crown | 2,500,000 Tickets during Tixapalooza, March 2016 | No |

Mecha and Tix sit outside our catalog because we track Limiteds, so we hold no live figures for them. Roblox's own item data confirms the other three exist, sit off sale, and carry no Limited flag.

### The Crown of RIVALS: the event crown hundreds of thousands of players grabbed

![Crown of RIVALS](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/126300691030381?size=420)

If you have seen a lot of domino crowns on avatars lately, this is why. Roblox published the Crown of RIVALS on September 11, 2026, and its catalog description reads "This item was awarded during RIA26," the Roblox Innovation Awards broadcast. Roblox handed it out through the event, and community catalog records put the number of players who claimed it above 700,000. It is a gold-framed tribute to the original crown with no domino pips applied, and because Roblox published it without a copy limit, it will never have a price. A Crown of RIVALS lives in your inventory and stops there, and anyone offering to buy yours is describing a trade Roblox will not let happen.

## Is a Domino Crown worth the price? Compare each ask against its RAP

Read every crown as two numbers: RAP, and the cheapest ask. RAP updates on a fixed formula each time a copy sells, moving one tenth of the way from the old RAP toward the new sale price, so it trails the market. The gap between the two numbers tells you what kind of market you are walking into.

At the cheap end the gap is small. Viridian's ask sits about 1% over its RAP and Festive's sits under its RAP, both signs of enough buyers and sellers to set a fair price. Move up and the gap opens: Counterfeit asks about 91% over RAP, Bluesteel roughly double its RAP with 420 copies out, and Red Domino Crown about 2.6 times its RAP with 247. Those top asks are opening offers on items that trade a handful of times a year. Red and Bluesteel both arrived inside gift boxes, in December 2010 and December 2011, given to admins and top developers and sold to everyone else for 20,000 and 25,000 Robux, which is why their copy counts stayed in the hundreds while later variants ran into the thousands.

For a first crown, the wide-supply variants are the honest choice. You can check the current floor yourself on any [item page](/item/2606192523), watch below-RAP listings in the [Deals feed](/deals) once you are signed in, and see how these crowns rank against the rest of the market on the [most expensive Limiteds collection](/collections/most-expensive-limiteds). If you want the family's full backstory, we covered it in the [Domino Crown series history](/articles/domino-crown-series-history-roblox), and the [classic hats collection](/collections/classic-hats) is the wider category these sit in.

Prices, RAP and copy counts in this article come from the RBX Invest catalog and Roblox's own item data as of September 29, 2026, with fee and reselling rules from Roblox's marketplace documentation and release history from the Roblox Wiki.

## FAQ

### How much does a Domino Crown cost in Roblox?

Between 45,000 and 6,800,000 Robux, depending on the variant, as of September 2026. The Festive Domino Crown is the cheapest at 45,000, Viridian is next at 128,999, and the Red Domino Crown tops the buyable list at 6,800,000. The 2007 original has no realistic listing at all.

### Can you still get the original Domino Crown?

Only by buying a copy from one of its 25 owners, and none of them are currently selling at a sane price. Roblox handed the original out as a 2007 building contest prize and never sold it, so no new copies enter circulation. Its cheapest listed copy is priced in the billions of Robux, which is an owner marking it as not for sale.

### What is the cheapest Domino Crown you can buy?

The Festive Domino Crown, listed from 45,000 Robux as of September 2026. It has 848 copies, originally sold for 12,000 Robux in December 2018, and uses a holly-frame design instead of the classic gold base. The cheapest crown with the original mesh is the Viridian Domino Crown at 128,999 Robux.

### Do you need Roblox Plus to buy a Domino Crown?

No. Buying a resale copy needs nothing but Robux. You need an active Roblox Plus subscription, $4.99 USD per month, to list a Limited for resale yourself or to trade with another player, and in a trade both accounts need it.

### How long after buying a Domino Crown can you resell it?

Seven days after a resale purchase, and two days after receiving one in a trade. Roblox's marketplace documentation describes these waits as holding periods of up to 30 days depending on how the item was obtained. The clock starts when the item lands in your inventory.

### How much does Roblox take when you sell a Domino Crown?

30% of the sale price, leaving the seller 70%. Sell a crown for 100,000 Robux and 70,000 reaches your account. That fee is why a resale only breaks even at about 1.43 times what you paid for the copy.

### Is the Crown of RIVALS a real Domino Crown?

It is a real Roblox item in the Domino Crown family, published September 11, 2026 and awarded during the Roblox Innovation Awards broadcast. It has no copy limit and no resale market, so it carries no RAP and cannot be bought or traded.

### How many Domino Crowns are there in total?

Fourteen crowns carry the Domino Crown name or design according to the [Roblox Wiki's series page](https://roblox.fandom.com/wiki/Domino_Crown_%28series%29), counting free event hats and Robux purchase bonuses. Six of them are Limiteds with live resale markets: the original, Red, Bluesteel, Counterfeit, Viridian and Festive.
