*The most expensive Roblox Limited at launch is Shedletsekkar at 2,000,000 Robux. See the highest launch prices and what each one is worth now.*

The most expensive Roblox Limited at launch is [Shedletsekkar](/item/93762663362787), a 20-copy hat Roblox priced at 2,000,000 Robux in September 2026. Before that the record belonged to [enyahs7's ROBLOX Tablet](/item/99610601), a one-copy gear item Roblox sold for 1,000,000 R$ in December 2012. A Limited is an item Roblox stopped selling, with a fixed number of copies that owners resell to each other, and a launch price is what Roblox charged on the day it went on sale. Across the 2,018 classic Limiteds where RBX Invest holds both a launch price and a live RAP, the cheap drops have gained far more than the pricey ones. Items that cost under 100 R$ new sit at a median of 97.5 times their launch price today. Items that cost 10,000 R$ or more sit at 12.6 times.

**Quick answer:** Roblox's two highest launch prices are Shedletsekkar at 2,000,000 R$ in September 2026 and the one-copy ROBLOX Tablets of late 2012, which topped out at 1,000,000 R$. Buying the expensive drops worked out worse than buying the cheap ones: the median classic Limited launched under 100 Robux is up 97.5x, the median one launched above 10,000 Robux is up 12.6x, and 10 of those expensive drops still carry a RAP under what Roblox charged.

RAP, short for Recent Average Price, is the slow-moving average sale price Roblox shows on every Limited's page. It moves by only a tenth of the gap on each sale, so it lags the live market, and [how RAP is calculated](/articles/what-is-rap-roblox) is worth knowing before you read any of the numbers below.

## What is the most expensive Roblox Limited at launch? Shedletsekkar at 2,000,000 Robux

![Shedletsekkar](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/93762663362787?size=420)

Shedletsekkar is a hat Roblox created on September 24, 2026 and sold as a Limited U, meaning Roblox set a hard quantity cap before the first copy sold. The cap was 20. At 2,000,000 Robux a copy, that is 40,000,000 R$ of avatar hat, and it beats everything else Roblox has ever charged for a catalog item. Its RAP sits at exactly 2,000,000 R$ because the launch sales are the only sales it has, and Roblox's own item details showed no copy listed for resale on October 10, 2026. Two weeks of history tells you nothing about where it settles, so treat the number as a record and nothing more. The [full Shedletsekkar story](/articles/shedletsekkar-roblox-2-million-robux-limited) covers how the drop ran.

Below Shedletsekkar, the highest launch prices Roblox ever charged go to the Federation nobility hats and one Sparkle Time recolor. Copies here means the number that exist in total, and the multiple column is today's RAP divided by the launch price.

| Item | Launch price | Copies | RAP now | RAP vs launch |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/93762663362787?size=150) [Shedletsekkar](/item/93762663362787) | 2,000,000 R$ | 20 | 2,000,000 R$ | 1.0x |
| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/207207782?size=150) [Lady of the Federation](/item/207207782) | 250,000 R$ | 10 | 5,950,184 R$ | 23.8x |
| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/1180433861?size=150) [Sparkle Time Valkyrie](/item/1180433861) | 250,000 R$ | 94 | 2,580,879 R$ | 10.3x |
| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/88885069?size=150) [Lord of the Federation](/item/88885069) | 250,000 R$ | 10 | 1,277,922 R$ | 5.1x |
| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/1180419124?size=150) [Disgraced Baron of the Federation](/item/1180419124) | 200,000 R$ | 66 | 1,352,361 R$ | 6.8x |
| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/293316452?size=150) [Archduke of the Federation](/item/293316452) | 150,000 R$ | 25 | 4,307,413 R$ | 28.7x |
| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/878889105?size=150) [Archduchess of the Federation](/item/878889105) | 150,000 R$ | 87 | 1,194,541 R$ | 8.0x |

Treat that multiple column with care. Lord of the Federation and Lady of the Federation have ten copies each, and ten-copy items trade years apart, so their RAP is a fossil of whatever sale happened last. Trader consensus on street value, meaning the price holders and buyers actually agree on when a copy moves, puts Lord of the Federation far above the 1,277,922 R$ its RAP suggests. The hats with 66 to 94 copies tell a cleaner story because they trade often enough to keep RAP honest. The whole [Federation series history](/articles/federation-series-history-roblox) walks the line item by item, and the [Sparkle Time series](/articles/sparkle-time-series-history-roblox) does the same for the sparkle recolors.

## Why did Roblox charge 1,000,000 Robux for a tablet? It was a one-copy prize item

![enyahs7's ROBLOX Tablet](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/99610601?size=420)

Between November 14 and December 4, 2012, Roblox dropped twenty one-copy Gear items into the catalog, each priced higher than the last and renamed after whoever bought it first. The run opened at 10,000 R$ for hicup789's tablet on November 14 and closed at 1,000,000 R$ for enyahs7's on December 4, climbing in 10,000 R$ steps to 100,000 and then in 100,000 R$ steps to the top. The full [ROBLOX Tablet series history](/articles/roblox-tablet-series-history-roblox) covers what winners received.

The tablets dominate any list of Roblox's highest launch prices, and they also dominate the list of launches that look bad on paper. enyahs7's Tablet has a RAP of 101,000 R$ against its 1,000,000 R$ launch price. Scython's sits at 280,350 against 900,000. Eight of the twenty have never resold at all, which leaves them with no RAP to read. A one-copy item has no real market, just an owner and whatever a single buyer eventually offers, so those numbers say little about expensive drops in general.

## Which expensive Limiteds are still below their launch price? Ten, and print runs explain most of it

Ten classic Limiteds that launched at 10,000 R$ or more carry a RAP below what Roblox charged. Four are ROBLOX Tablets. Here are the other six, with the lowest ask, meaning the cheapest copy currently listed for resale.

| Item | Launch price | Copies | RAP now | Lowest ask |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/144507154?size=150) [Hooded Firelord](/item/144507154) | 100,000 R$ | 30 | 65,899 R$ | None listed |
| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/16733641790?size=150) [Vault Commando](/item/16733641790) | 40,000 R$ | 1,849 | 7,389 R$ | 7,400 R$ |
| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/450557238?size=150) [8-Bit Clockwork Shades](/item/450557238) | 34,952 R$ | 3,361 | 23,526 R$ | 24,500 R$ |
| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/382881521?size=150) [Tix Bling](/item/382881521) | 25,000 R$ | 1,194 | 23,479 R$ | 24,199 R$ |
| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/16744173343?size=150) [Vault Glider Wings](/item/16744173343) | 17,000 R$ | 949 | 9,535 R$ | 13,000 R$ |
| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/140469731?size=150) [Festive Narwhal](/item/140469731) | 10,240 R$ | 75,321 | 809 R$ | 780 R$ |

Five of those six have a copy listed within a few thousand Robux of their RAP, which is the market agreeing with the number. Copy count is doing the damage. Festive Narwhal went on sale on December 30, 2013 at 10,240 R$ and 75,321 copies sold, so there is one available for 780 R$ any time you want it. The two Vault items came out of The Hunt: First Edition in March 2024 with print runs in the hundreds and low thousands, and both now ask under their launch price. A print run is just how many copies got sold before the item went offsale, and it caps how valuable an item can get no matter how much it cost new. The [Vault series history](/articles/vault-series-history-roblox) has the rest of that event's items.

Hooded Firelord is the exception, and a useful one. Roblox sold 30 copies at 100,000 R$ in February 2014, its RAP reads 65,899 R$, and not one copy is listed for sale. Trader consensus on its street value sits far above that figure, and nobody is selling at anything close to it. That gap is what stale RAP looks like on a gem, which is our word for a scarce high-value Limited: so few sales happen that the printed average stops describing reality. When an item has no asks and 30 copies, RAP is the weakest number on the page.

## Does a high launch price predict a good Limited? The cheap drops gained far more

Here is every classic Limited where RBX Invest holds a Robux launch price and a live RAP, split by what Roblox charged.

| Launch price band | Items | Median RAP vs launch | Now below launch |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Under 100 R$ | 363 | 97.5x | 0 |
| 100 to 999 R$ | 1,072 | 27.8x | 6 |
| 1,000 to 9,999 R$ | 405 | 17.6x | 14 |
| 10,000 R$ and up | 178 | 12.6x | 10 |
| All measured | 2,018 | 29.2x | 30 |

The pattern is clean and it runs one direction all the way down. Two things drive it. The cheap launches are mostly old, from an era when Roblox charged 7 to 900 Robux for hats and the player base was a fraction of today's, so copy counts ended up tiny by accident. The expensive launches had their scarcity priced in from day one: when Roblox asks 150,000 R$ for a 25-copy hat, you are paying up front for the rarity instead of discovering it later.

That does not make the expensive hats bad holds. Archduke of the Federation turned 150,000 R$ into a RAP of 4,307,413 R$, and most of the 178 expensive drops are up many times over. The multiple is simply smaller, and you needed a lot more Robux to play. If you want the other end of this study, [the biggest gains since release](/articles/roblox-limiteds-biggest-gains-since-release) ranks the items that multiplied most, and you can sort today's market yourself on the [items leaderboard](/items-leaderboard) or browse the top of it in [most expensive Limiteds](/collections/most-expensive-limiteds) and [rarest Limiteds](/collections/rarest-limiteds).

One warning about asks on items like these. A lowest ask of 500,000,000 R$ is a holder who does not want to sell, so do not read it as a price. Several Federation hats sit in exactly that state, and [Limiteds listed for billions](/articles/roblox-limiteds-listed-for-billions) explains the habit.

## Should you buy a UGC Limited at launch? The fee math is the whole answer

UGC Limiteds, the community-made ones, are where most launch buying happens now. The arithmetic is harsher there. When you resell a UGC Limited, Roblox's marketplace documentation puts the split at 50% to the reseller, 10% to the original creator, 10% to the seller or affiliate, and 30% to Roblox. You keep half. A 10,000 R$ copy has to resell at 20,000 R$ before you are even, so the item needs to double just to get your Robux back.

Now the data. Among the 24,674 sold-out UGC Limiteds in the RBX Invest catalog that have a launch price under 100,000 R$ and a live RAP, the median one trades at 2.14 times launch price, which clears that 2x bar by a hair. Narrow that same group to drops that launched at 10,000 R$ or more and the median lands on exactly 1.00x, with 23% trading under launch price. At 1.00x a reseller who buys at launch and sells at the going rate hands half the money to fees and walks away down 50%.

Classic Limiteds are kinder on fees: Roblox takes 30% of a classic resale and you keep 70%, so a 10,000 R$ copy breaks even at about 14,300 R$. Either way you need an active Roblox Plus subscription to resell at all, and a holding period applies first, meaning a window after purchase when the item cannot be resold. That runs up to 30 days on a UGC Limited bought from the creator. [How long to hold a UGC Limited after launch](/articles/how-long-to-hold-ugc-limited-after-launch) goes through the timing, and you can watch live launch windows in [UGC Limiteds in stock](/collections/ugc-limiteds-in-stock) or track your own listings with the [reseller terminal](/resell).

None of this is financial advice. Robux spent on a Limited can lose value, and an expensive launch price is no promise that anyone will pay more later.

## Does launch price matter when you buy a Limited? Copy count matters more

Launch price tells you what Roblox thought an item was worth. The market decides the rest. Copy count does more of the work: the 10-copy and 25-copy hats from the Federation line held up, the 75,321-copy narwhal did not, and both sat in the same expensive band. When you are weighing a drop, start with how many copies will exist and how many you expect to be listed for sale later, then ask whether the price leaves room for a 2x on UGC or a 1.43x on classic before fees. The [deal feed](/deals) flags copies listing under their recent market, which is the opposite end of the same question.

## FAQ

### What is the most expensive Roblox Limited at launch?

Shedletsekkar, at 2,000,000 Robux. Roblox created the 20-copy hat on September 24, 2026 and capped it as a Limited U, making it the highest launch price in catalog history. The previous record was enyahs7's ROBLOX Tablet at 1,000,000 R$ in December 2012.

### Did expensive Roblox Limiteds hold their value?

Mostly yes, but with smaller multiples than cheap ones. Of 178 classic Limiteds that launched at 10,000 Robux or more, the median trades at 12.6 times its launch price by RAP and 10 trade below it. The median Limited that launched under 100 Robux is up 97.5 times.

### Which Roblox Limited lost the most against its launch price?

Festive Narwhal, a back accessory Roblox sold on December 30, 2013 for 10,240 Robux. It has 75,321 copies, a RAP of 809 R$ and a lowest ask of 780 R$, which is about 8% of what buyers paid new.

### Why is a Limited's RAP sometimes lower than its launch price?

Because RAP follows actual resales, and a thin market updates it rarely. RAP moves one tenth of the way toward each new sale price, so an item with 30 copies that trades once every few years can show a figure years out of date. Hooded Firelord reads 65,899 R$ against a 100,000 R$ launch price while no copy is listed for sale at all.

### How many copies did Roblox sell of its most expensive Limiteds?

Very few. Shedletsekkar has 20 copies, Lady of the Federation and Lord of the Federation have 10 each, Archduke of the Federation has 25, and the ROBLOX Tablets have one copy apiece. Sparkle Time Valkyrie is the largest of the top launches at 94 copies.

### Is it worth buying a UGC Limited at launch?

Only if you expect it to more than double. Roblox's marketplace documentation puts a UGC Limited resale at 50% to the reseller, so break-even is twice your cost. Among the 443 sold-out UGC drops that launched between 10,000 and 100,000 Robux and carry a live RAP, the median trades at exactly 1.00 times launch price.

### What is a Limited U on Roblox?

A Limited U is a Limited with a quantity cap Roblox set before the item went on sale, so the supply is known from day one. A plain Limited had no cap, and its final copy count is whatever people bought before it went offsale. Shedletsekkar and the Federation hats are Limited U; Festive Narwhal is a plain Limited.

### Do you need Roblox Plus to resell an expensive Limited?

Yes. Reselling a Limited requires an active Roblox Plus subscription on the seller's account, and a holding period applies after you buy, up to 30 days for a UGC Limited bought from its creator. The buyer of your copy needs no subscription.
