Roblox's ninja Limiteds are a family of roughly two dozen Roblox-made collectibles released between December 2007 and November 2018, covering masks, headbands, hoods, neckties and ninja gear. A Limited is an item Roblox has stopped selling, so the only way to get one now is to buy a copy from another player or trade for it. The oldest is the Ninja Mask of Awesome, listed on Roblox's catalog on Christmas Eve 2007 with 2,050 copies. The priciest today is Ninja Master: Dojo of Doom, with a RAP of 39,530 Robux across 346 copies. ## What is the Roblox ninja series? A loose family of classic Limiteds from 2007 to 2018

The ninja items were never a single numbered set the way a recolor line is. Roblox released them in ones and twos across eleven years, usually as cheap catalog hats with a joke in the description. What ties them together is the theme and the maker: every item below was published by the Roblox account itself, which makes all of them classic Limiteds rather than UGC Limiteds (items built and sold by community creators).

That distinction matters for what you can do with them. Roblox's marketplace documentation states that only Roblox-created Limiteds are tradeable, so ninja items can move through the player-to-player trade window, while UGC Limiteds can only be resold. Both sides of a trade need an active Roblox Plus subscription.

The family splits into three rough groups. There are the head items, which is most of it: masks, hoods and headbands. There is gear, meaning the kamas, katanas, throwing star and swordpack. And there are the odd body pieces, like the Ninja Necktie and the two bandoliers. ## Where did the line start? The Ninja Mask of Awesome, released Christmas Eve 2007

[Ninja Mask of Awesome](/item/1286496) is dated December 24, 2007 on Roblox's catalog, which puts it among the oldest surviving Limiteds on the platform. Its description is one line: "Ninjas hate pirates. They fight all the time." Roblox's catalog carries no Robux launch price for it, so treat any figure you see for what it originally cost as unconfirmed.

It has 2,050 copies and a RAP of 12,418 Robux. RAP is short for recent average price, Roblox's smoothed average of what an item has actually sold for. Each new sale drags it one tenth of the way toward that sale's price, so it moves slowly and lags fast markets. For an item that old, 12,418 Robux is modest. Age alone has never been what makes a classic Limited expensive, and the ninja family is a clean demonstration of that. The 2007 mask is worth less than a 2012 hat with a sixth of its copies.

## Why are the two 2009 headbands priced so differently? Launch price gated the supply

Roblox published two ninja headbands within a minute of each other on May 31, 2009. They are the closest thing the platform has to a controlled experiment on how price sets supply.

[White Ninja Headband of the Unimpeachable Soul](/item/11297746) launched at 50 Robux. It sold 150,686 copies and now has a RAP of 1,833 Robux, with the cheapest copy listed at 1,800 Robux.

[Orange Ninja Headband of All Earth's Fire](/item/11297766) launched at 500 Robux. It sold 1,425 copies and now has a RAP of 38,901 Robux.

Ten times the launch price produced roughly one hundredth the supply, and seventeen years later the orange one is worth about twenty-one times the white one. That ratio is the single most useful thing to carry out of this article. In the classic era, whatever Roblox charged at launch decided how many copies would ever exist, and the copy count still sets the price today.

The same pattern repeats inside the DarkAge Ninjas gear pair from September 2011. [DarkAge Ninjas: Ninja Kitteh](/item/60888225) cost 300 Robux and minted 1,963 copies. [DarkAge Ninjas: Dual Kamas](/item/60888284) cost 600 Robux and minted 986. The Kamas are worth about seven times the Kitteh today.

Copies is the number ever minted, RAP is the smoothed sale average, and the lowest ask is the cheapest copy a reseller currently has listed. Type is either a plain Limited or a Limited U, which is a serialized version where every copy carries a number.

Notice how often the lowest ask sits well above RAP. Desert Ninja's cheapest listing is 49,999 Robux against a RAP of 30,559, and Ronald McNinja's is 27,999 against 19,422. On items with only a few hundred copies, the handful of people willing to sell can price wherever they like, and RAP takes a long time to catch up because so few sales happen. Watch the ask as well as the RAP before you decide something is cheap.

## Which ninja Limited is worth the most? Ninja Master: Dojo of Doom

[Ninja Master: Dojo of Doom](/item/71427264) was published on February 1, 2012 at 500 Robux and stopped at 346 copies, the smallest print in the family. Its RAP is 39,530 Robux and the cheapest listing sits just above that at 39,999.

Roblox reused the name six years later. [Ninja Master: Dojo of Despair](/item/1301378557) arrived on January 5, 2018, also at 500 Robux, and minted 5,004 copies. Same concept, same launch price, more than fourteen times the supply, and today its RAP is 2,216 Robux. The 2012 hat is worth about eighteen times the 2018 one.

By 2018 Roblox was selling to a far larger player base, so the same 500 Robux gate that stopped 346 people in 2012 barely slowed anyone down. If you are trying to work out why one item in a pair is expensive, start by comparing when it sold and how many people were around to buy it.

## Why do some ninja Limiteds have serial numbers and others don't?

Seven items in the table are plain Limiteds and the rest are Limited U, short for Limited Unique. A Limited U stamps every copy with a serial number, so the fifth copy ever sold is permanently #5. Plain Limiteds have no numbers, and one copy is interchangeable with any other.

Serials matter for two reasons. Low serials, especially #1 through #10, often sell for a premium over the same item at a random number. And a Limited U's copy count is fixed and public, which makes supply easy to check. In this family the plain Limiteds are the Ninja Mask of Awesome, both 2009 headbands, the Deluxe Ninja Swordpack, Spider Ninja Headband, Zombie Ninja and Ninja Elf. Everything else carries a serial.

## What about the Dragon Ninja Mask? Roblox lists it, the market does not

[Dragon Ninja Mask](/item/74175019) shows up in Roblox's catalog data as a Limited U created on March 7, 2012, priced at 100,000 Robux, with none remaining and no description at all. RBX Invest tracks a RAP of 100,000 Robux for it, which is exactly its listed price, and has no copy count and no live resale listings.

A RAP that matches the launch price to the Robux usually means the item has essentially no sale history for the average to move away from. Treat the number as a placeholder rather than a valuation, and treat anyone quoting it as a real market price with suspicion. It is a good reminder that a figure on a screen is only as good as the trades behind it.

## Are ninja Limiteds a good buy in 2026?

The honest read is that this is a collector's family more than a trading family. Most of it is cheap, sales are infrequent, and nothing here has the demand of a fedora or a Dominus. That cuts both ways: entry is easy, and exit can be slow.

Three things I would keep in mind.

The sub-600-copy hats are where the scarcity is. Dojo of Doom at 346 copies, Ronald McNinja at 389, Digital Ninja at 464 and Desert Ninja at 577 are genuinely thin, and thin supply is what has held their prices up for a decade. Three of them (Desert Ninja, Ronald McNinja and Digital Ninja) also have asks well above their RAP right now, so patience matters more than speed.

The mass prints are floor items. With 150,686 White Ninja Headbands and 102,979 Deluxe Ninja Swordpacks in circulation, those two are never going to be scarce. They are fine as cheap avatar pieces and fine as a first Limited, and they are not going to multiply.

Fees eat small moves. Roblox charges a 30% marketplace fee when you resell a classic Limited, so you keep 70% of the sale price. Buy a ninja hat at 20,000 Robux, resell it at 30,000, and you keep 21,000 after the fee, which is a 1,000 Robux profit on a 50% price move. You need roughly a 1.43x price rise just to break even, which is why flipping cheap items rarely works.
