*Your Roblox Limiteds stay locked on a banned account: nothing transfers out, Robux goes invalid, and you have 30 days to appeal.*

If your Roblox account gets banned, or you delete it yourself, the Limiteds inside it stay attached to that account and stop moving. A Limited is an avatar item Roblox has stopped selling, with a fixed number of copies that players resell and trade, so every copy sits in somebody's inventory. Copies do not follow you to a new account. [Roblox's Terms of Use](https://en.help.roblox.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004647846-Roblox-Terms-of-Use) say that if your account is deleted or terminated for any reason, all Robux in it become invalid and will not be reinstated if you create a new account, and that a termination can end your access to content you acquired, including Robux and virtual items. The only route back is an appeal, and Roblox's [appeals help page](https://en.help.roblox.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000245263-Appeal-Your-Content-or-Account-Moderation) gives you 30 days from the moderation action, or 6 months if you are in the European Union.

**Quick answer:** A ban locks your Limiteds inside the account you can no longer reach. Nothing transfers out, Robux in the account becomes invalid, and you have 30 days to appeal (6 months in the EU). Deactivating your account instead is reversible and keeps everything.

| Account state | What happens to your Limiteds and Robux |
| --- | --- |
| Deactivated by you | Reversible. Log back in to reactivate. Your copies stay put, though Roblox notes some information stays visible to others, such as items you have listed on the Marketplace. |
| Terminated (banned) | You lose access to the account, so the copies stop moving. Roblox's Terms of Use say termination can end access to content you acquired, including Robux and virtual items. |
| Deleted at your request | Permanent. Roblox begins deleting the account's data, and Robux in the account becomes invalid. |
| Appeal window | 30 days from the moderation action, or 6 months for users in the European Union. |

## Does a Roblox ban delete your Limiteds? No, the copies stay locked on the account

Moderation lands on the account, so the items keep existing. A banned account's copies are still counted in the item's supply, because a Limited's number of copies is fixed once Roblox stops selling it. What changes is who can do anything with them: the owner cannot log in, cannot list a copy for resale, and cannot send one through a trade.

There is no transfer mechanism for this situation. Roblox does not move items to a backup account, and it does not let a friend or a parent claim them. The Terms of Use are blunt about the money side, saying Robux in a deleted or terminated account becomes invalid and will not be reinstated on a new account.

Items can also disappear for a reason that has nothing to do with your account, which is when Roblox removes the item itself. We covered that case separately in [what happens when a Roblox Limited gets deleted](/articles/roblox-deleted-limiteds-what-happens).

## Can you get your Limiteds back after a ban? Only by winning an appeal within 30 days

The appeal is about the account, so it is the only path back to the inventory. Roblox's appeals page sets the window at 30 days from the moderation action affecting the account, with 6 months for users in the European Union, and says submitting an appeal does not guarantee the consequence will be removed. It also says that once a moderation has been reviewed it cannot be reviewed again, and duplicate appeals for the same action will not be reviewed. You get one real shot, so it is worth writing carefully the first time.

Two things are worth knowing before you count on support. Roblox's [trading help page](https://en.help.roblox.com/hc/en-us/articles/203313310-Trading-System) says it cannot return items or Robux lost in deals made outside the official system, so a collection that left your account through an off-platform deal is gone whether or not your account survives. And a completed trade inside the system is final, which is the subject of our guide to [Roblox account security for traders](/articles/roblox-account-security-protect-limiteds).

## Deactivating vs deleting a Roblox account: which one keeps your items?

Deactivation is the reversible option. Roblox's [deactivation and deletion help page](https://en.help.roblox.com/hc/en-us/articles/203313050-How-do-I-deactivate-or-delete-my-account) describes it as disabling the account and hiding the profile, and you reactivate it by logging back in. Your Limiteds stay in the inventory while it is off.

Deletion is the permanent one. You request it from your privacy settings, under the account data, deactivation and deletion options, and Roblox verifies your identity first, which is why the account needs a verified email address. After that, Roblox starts deleting the data tied to the account and the Robux in it becomes invalid.

For anyone with a collection worth real Robux, deactivation is the safe button of the two. If you want a break from the platform, take it with the option you can undo.

## Can you move Limiteds off an account before you lose access? Only inside the trade and resale rules

Shifting a collection takes time, and the rules decide how much. Roblox's [marketplace documentation](https://create.roblox.com/docs/marketplace/marketplace-fees-and-commissions) says only Roblox-created Limiteds are tradeable, so UGC Limiteds, the ones made by community creators, change hands only through Marketplace resales. Trading also requires an active Roblox Plus subscription on both accounts, and reselling requires one on the seller's account.

Then there are holding periods, which are the stretches of time after an item arrives when it cannot be moved on:

- Classic Limiteds, the ones Roblox made itself, carry a 2-day hold after a trade and a 7-day hold after a resale purchase.
- UGC Limiteds bought from the creator at launch carry a hold of up to 30 days.
- UGC Limiteds bought on the resale market carry a hold of up to 7 days.

So a last-minute shuffle of a big inventory is not realistic. Selling a copy costs you a cut. On a UGC Limited resale, Roblox's marketplace documentation puts 50% of the sale price with the reseller, with the rest split between the creator, the seller or affiliate, and Roblox. Our [marketplace fees breakdown](/articles/roblox-marketplace-fees-explained) walks through the splits, and [how holding periods work](/articles/roblox-limited-holding-periods) covers the timing in detail.

Nothing here is financial advice. Items can fall as well as rise, and the numbers in this article are a snapshot of one day.

## What does a lost account do to a Limited's supply? Copies keep counting, sellers get scarcer

The number on an item page tells you how many copies exist, and plenty of those copies belong to accounts that have gone quiet, been abandoned, or been banned. That is why a thin item can show a healthy-looking copy count and still have nobody selling. RBX Invest catalog data as of October 5, 2026 covers 3,022 classic Limiteds, of which 2,508 have at least one copy listed for resale. Narrow it to the 400 classics with 100 or fewer copies and only 159 of them have a copy listed anywhere.

The items below are the thin end of that market. The Copies column is the fixed supply, and RAP, short for recent average price, is the smoothed average Roblox keeps of an item's whole sale history. Rows run from the highest consensus street value down, which is what traders actually pay for a copy when one appears.

| Item | Copies | RAP |
| --- | --- | --- |
| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/1031429?size=150) [Domino Crown](/item/1031429) | 25 | 5,726,071 R$ |
| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/9910070?size=150) [The Wanwood Crown](/item/9910070) | 10 | 2,442,902 R$ |
| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/100425940?size=150) [Tough Guy Cap](/item/100425940) | 25 | 1,325,703 R$ |
| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/26943368?size=150) [Eccentric Shop Teacher](/item/26943368) | 10 | 576,204 R$ |
| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/207207782?size=150) [Lady of the Federation](/item/207207782) | 10 | 5,950,184 R$ |

Each sale only nudges RAP a little. On a 10-copy item that trades once or twice a year, that average goes stale fast. The order in the table shows it: the Lady of the Federation carries the biggest RAP of the five and sits last by what traders pay, while the Domino Crown's consensus price sits far above its RAP. Of these five, four have a copy listed somewhere and the Lady of the Federation has none at all as of October 5, 2026.

When one owner of a 10-copy hat loses an account, a tenth of the supply goes dark, and the copies that might still sell get scarcer. The practical move is to watch how many sellers an item has. Our [rarest Limiteds collection](/collections/rarest-limiteds) and the [Limiteds under 100 copies collection](/collections/limiteds-under-100-copies) rank these live, the [items leaderboard](/items-leaderboard) tracks what is actually moving, and [who owns a Roblox Limited](/articles/who-owns-a-roblox-limited) explains how much of an ownership list you can see.

## How do you protect a collection worth real Robux? Lock the account down first

Account safety is the whole insurance policy for a collector, because a finished trade cannot be undone and a terminated account cannot be undone from the outside.

- Turn on 2-Step Verification through an authenticator app, and keep a verified email on the account so you can pass identity checks with support.
- Keep your login to yourself. Sharing a password or a session with a "trusted" trader is how most collections vanish.
- Skip deals that leave the platform. Roblox prohibits trading items or Robux for real money, accounts, or items outside Roblox, and it says it cannot return what you lose that way. Doing it risks both the items and the account, which is covered in [what cross-trading is](/articles/what-is-cross-trading-roblox).
- Hold your collection on your main account, the one with a long login history and recovery options already set up.

Mechanics in this article come from Roblox's Terms of Use, Roblox's help pages on account deactivation and deletion, moderation appeals and trading, and Roblox's marketplace documentation for tradeability, holding periods and the resale split, with copies and RAP figures from RBX Invest catalog data as of October 5, 2026.

## FAQ

### Do you lose your Limiteds if your Roblox account is banned?

You lose access to them. The copies stay attached to the banned account and keep counting toward the item's supply, but nobody can list, trade, or move them while the account is terminated. Roblox's Terms of Use say a termination can end your access to content you acquired, including Robux and virtual items.

### Can Roblox transfer Limiteds to a new account after a ban?

No. There is no transfer path for a terminated account, and Roblox's Terms of Use say Robux in a deleted or terminated account becomes invalid and will not be reinstated if you create a new account. The same applies to the items in it.

### How long do you have to appeal a Roblox account termination?

30 days from the moderation action, or 6 months if you are in the European Union, according to Roblox's appeals help page. Roblox also says a moderation that has been reviewed cannot be reviewed again, and duplicate appeals for the same action will not be reviewed.

### Does deactivating a Roblox account delete your Limiteds?

No. Deactivation is reversible: Roblox disables the account and hides the profile, and you reactivate it by logging back in. Your items stay in the inventory, and Roblox notes that some information remains visible to others, such as items you have listed on the Marketplace.

### What happens to your Robux if you delete your Roblox account?

It becomes invalid. Roblox's Terms of Use say all Robux in a deleted or terminated account becomes invalid and will not be reinstated on a new account unless applicable law requires it, and deletion also ends your access to the content on that account.

### Can you sell your Limiteds quickly before losing an account?

Rarely, because holding periods and subscription rules slow it down. Classic Limiteds carry a 2-day hold after a trade and a 7-day hold after a resale purchase, UGC Limiteds carry holds of up to 30 days from a launch purchase and up to 7 days from a resale purchase, and both trading and reselling require an active Roblox Plus subscription on your account.

### Does a banned owner's copy still count in a Limited's supply?

The copies they hold still count in the item's total supply, since a Limited's supply is fixed once Roblox stops selling it. What you can measure is how many copies are listed for resale, and that number is far smaller: of the 400 classic Limiteds with 100 or fewer copies in RBX Invest data on October 5, 2026, only 159 had any copy listed.

### Does cross-trading get Roblox accounts terminated?

It puts the account at risk. Roblox prohibits trading for real money, accounts, or items outside Roblox, and its trading help page says it cannot return items or Robux lost in deals made outside the official system. A deal that goes wrong there can cost you the items and the account.
