*Roblox's scythe and reaper Limiteds run from 2009 to 2018. See September 2026 RAP, copies and lowest asks for all 11, led by 75-copy Scytheface.*

Roblox's scythe and reaper Limiteds are a family of eleven collectible items that Roblox itself released between October 2009 and November 2018, all built around the grim reaper look. A Limited is an item Roblox has stopped selling, so the only way to get one now is to buy it from another player. The most valuable of the family is [Scytheface: The Sharpest One](/item/102617707), which exists in just 75 copies and whose cheapest listing sits at 3,500,000 R$. The cheapest way in is [Noob Attack: Laser Scythe Scuffle](/item/2566105661) at under 1,000 R$. Seven of the fourteen scythe and reaper items Roblox has made, Limited or not, launched in October.

**Quick answer:** Roblox made eleven Limiteds on the scythe and grim reaper theme. Scytheface (75 copies) is the priciest, Grim Glow (300 copies) is second, and the entry point is the two Noob Attack scythes at roughly 700 to 1,300 R$.

## What are Roblox's scythe and reaper Limiteds? Eleven items from 2009 to 2018

Every row below is a Limited published by Roblox. Copies means how many exist in total. [RAP](/articles/what-is-rap-roblox), short for recent average price, is a smoothed average Roblox works out from an item's whole sale history, so it lags badly on items that almost never sell. Lowest ask is the cheapest price any current owner has the item listed for. The table is ordered by what traders actually pay, which can differ from the RAP order.

Four of the eleven are gear, meaning equippable tools: Scythe of Singularity, Grim Axe, and both Noob Attack items. You can browse the wider families these sit in on the [classic gear collection](/collections/classic-gear) and the [classic hats collection](/collections/classic-hats), both of which rank live.

## Which reaper Limited is worth the most? Scytheface, with only 75 copies

Scytheface: The Sharpest One went on sale January 3, 2013 at 10,000 R$, a huge price tag for a hat in 2013, and Roblox capped it at 75 copies. That cap is what carries the item. For comparison, the next rarest item in the family has four times as many copies.

Its numbers look strange at first glance. RAP reads 99,745 R$ while the cheapest listing asks 3,500,000 R$. The gap is a scarcity effect. RAP updates by a fraction of the difference on every sale, so an item that trades once or twice a year keeps a RAP anchored to prices from long ago. Trader consensus on Scytheface sits far above its RAP and closer to the asking side, which makes it a gem: a scarce, high-value Limited that rarely changes hands at all. It belongs on the [under 100 copies collection](/collections/limiteds-under-100-copies) alongside Roblox's other tiny-print items.

A 3,500,000 R$ ask is still an ask, and nobody is obliged to pay it. On items this thin, treat the listed price as the seller's opening position and the RAP as a floor that has drifted out of date.

## Why is Grim Glow second? 300 copies and a look that still sells

![Grim Glow](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/64559699?size=420)

Grim Glow arrived October 27, 2011 at 1,000 R$ with 300 copies. Roblox classifies it as a hat, and it reads as a hollow glowing skull. That silhouette has kept demand steady for fifteen years. RAP sits at 149,493 R$ with the cheapest listing at 179,999 R$, which is one of the tighter gaps in the family. A tight gap usually means real trading volume, because sellers who are genuinely getting offers list near where the last sales landed.

Grim Glow is the only item in this group where RAP outranks Scytheface, and that ordering comes from how RAP is calculated. Grim Glow sells often enough to keep its RAP current. Scytheface does not.

## Where did the reaper line start? Hallowreaper, in October 2009

![Hallowreaper](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/16598538?size=420)

Hallowreaper went live on October 5, 2009 at 150 R$ with 939 copies, and its catalog description still reads "Renegade from a costume store, this mask has a bad attitude." It landed before most of what collectors think of as classic Roblox trading, and it set the pattern the rest of the family followed: a cheap October mask that quietly became scarce.

Eight months later, on June 4, 2010, Roblox published [The Reaper](/item/28276664) at 250 R$ with 952 copies. The two sit close together in price today, at roughly 8,800 R$ and 12,000 R$ on the ask side, and they are the most affordable early-era reaper items you can own. For anyone building a themed collection on a budget, those two are where the family actually opens up.

## Are the scythe gears worth owning? Scythe of Singularity is the standout

![Scythe of Singularity](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/50938765?size=420)

Scythe of Singularity launched April 30, 2011 at 3,000 R$ with 343 copies, and it is the priciest gear in the line. RAP reads 55,442 R$ against a lowest ask of 149,999 R$. That is a wide spread, and wide spreads are normal on low-copy items: with 343 copies spread across fifteen years of accounts, only a handful are ever listed at once, so one optimistic seller sets the visible floor.

Grim Axe is the opposite case. Released February 21, 2013 at 500 R$ with 999 copies, it trades with RAP 13,402 R$ and a lowest ask of 13,489 R$, a gap of under 1%. That is about as liquid as a classic gear Limited gets, and it makes Grim Axe the easiest item here to both buy and sell without waiting weeks.

The two Noob Attack scythes are the cheap seats. Scythe Strike has 10,000 copies and Laser Scythe Scuffle has 75,023, which is why both sit near 1,000 R$. Laser Scythe Scuffle is currently asked below its own RAP, at 698 R$ against 775 R$. Neither is going to make anyone money, but they do get you the look. Their wider family is covered in our [Noob Attack series history](/articles/noob-attack-series-history-roblox).

## Do scythe Limiteds cluster around Halloween? Seven of fourteen launched in October

Counting Limiteds and non-Limiteds together, Roblox has made fourteen scythe and grim reaper items, and seven of them went live in October: Hallowreaper (2009), Scythe Sayer (2011), Grim Glow (2011), Scythe Headphones (2012), The Reaper's Claw (2013), Bat Scythe (2015) and Grim Reaper's Hood (2018). Roblox has treated the reaper as a Halloween motif almost every year it published one.

That matters for timing. Themed Limiteds tend to get attention in the weeks when the theme is in front of players, and October is when scythe items get searched, equipped and talked about. If you are buying, the quiet months are usually kinder. If you are selling, October is when the audience shows up. Our wider write-up on [Roblox's rarest Halloween Limiteds](/articles/roblox-halloween-limiteds-rarest-items) covers the seasonal pattern across the whole catalog.

Scythe Headphones is worth singling out. It sold October 26, 2012 for 350 R$ and has 982 copies, yet it trades at 44,599 R$ RAP with a 50,000 R$ ask, far above every other item here with a similar copy count. Headphones as a category carry their own premium on Roblox, which we break down in the [headphones Limiteds history](/articles/headphones-limiteds-history-roblox).

## Which scythe items are not Limiteds? Three of them

Roblox made several scythe items that never became Limiteds. They carry no RAP and no resale market, because a non-Limited item is either buyable from Roblox or offsale with no player-to-player market attached.

| Item | Released | Original price | Status |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/28275809?size=150) [Scythe](/item/28275809) | Jun 4, 2010 | 650 R$ | Ordinary catalog gear |
| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/306971294?size=150) [Bat Scythe](/item/306971294) | Oct 16, 2015 | 500 R$ | Ordinary catalog gear |
| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/2470981814?size=150) [Grim Reaper's Hood](/item/2470981814) | Oct 10, 2018 | Free | Offsale, never Limited |

The plain Scythe gear shipped the same day as The Reaper hat in June 2010, which is a nice detail: Roblox released the weapon and the mask as a pair, made one a Limited and left the other as a normal catalog item. Sixteen years later one of them is worth about 12,000 R$ and the other is worth nothing on the resale market. Being sold in a capped quantity is the entire difference.

## How do you buy a scythe Limited without overpaying? Compare the ask with the RAP

Read both numbers. RAP tells you where sales have been landing over time. The lowest ask tells you what someone wants today. When the ask is close to RAP, as with Grim Axe or Scythe Sayer, the price is real and you can transact quickly. When the ask is multiples of RAP, as with Scytheface, you are looking at either a genuine gem floor or a projected listing, which is a listing priced far above what the item actually trades for. Our guide to [projected items](/articles/projected-items-roblox-limiteds-explained) explains how to tell them apart.

Three more practical points:

- Reselling a classic Limited costs you 30% of the sale price, so you keep 70%. To break even on a 10,000 R$ purchase you need to sell at roughly 14,300 R$.
- After buying a Limited on the resale market there is a holding period of up to 7 days before you can resell it, and classic Limiteds also carry a 2-day hold after a trade. The [holding periods guide](/articles/roblox-limited-holding-periods) has the full rules.
- Trading and reselling both require an active Roblox Plus subscription on your account.

Live prices for everything above update on the [items leaderboard](/items-leaderboard), and underpriced listings surface in the [Deals feed](/deals), which needs a signed-in account.

None of this is financial advice. Limited prices move on demand that can vanish, and a scarce item with no buyers is worth whatever someone eventually offers.

## What is the outlook for scythe Limiteds? Strong at the top, flat at the bottom

The top end looks safe and the bottom end looks flat. Scytheface and Grim Glow are protected by copy counts of 75 and 300 that can never rise, and both have a look that reads clearly on an avatar, which is what keeps fifteen-year-old hats in demand. Scythe of Singularity sits in the same bracket with 343 copies.

The middle of the family is where the interesting buying is. Grim Axe at roughly 13,500 R$ and Scythe Headphones at 50,000 R$ have copy counts near 1,000, enough that you can actually find one for sale, and few enough that they are not going to be flooded. The Reaper and Hallowreaper under 12,000 R$ are the cheap way to own real 2009 and 2010 history.

The Noob Attack scythes are decoration. With 10,000 and 75,023 copies, neither has a scarcity story, and Laser Scythe Scuffle already sells below its RAP. Buy those because you like them.

Item data in this article (RAP, copies, lowest ask, release dates and original prices) comes from RBX Invest catalog data as of September 28, 2026, cross-checked item by item against Roblox's own economy API, and the resale fee figures come from Roblox's marketplace documentation.

## FAQ

### What is the most valuable Roblox scythe Limited?

Scytheface: The Sharpest One is the most valuable, with only 75 copies in existence. Its RAP is 99,745 R$ and its cheapest current listing asks 3,500,000 R$. Trader consensus values it well above its RAP because it sells so rarely that the RAP has gone stale.

### How many scythe and reaper Limiteds did Roblox make?

Roblox published eleven Limiteds on the scythe and grim reaper theme, released between October 2009 and November 2018. Three further scythe and reaper items exist as non-Limiteds: the plain Scythe gear, Bat Scythe and Grim Reaper's Hood.

### What is the cheapest reaper Limited on Roblox?

Noob Attack: Laser Scythe Scuffle is the cheapest, with a lowest ask of 698 R$ and a RAP of 775 R$. It has 75,023 copies, by far the largest print in the family, which is why it costs so little.

### What was the first Roblox reaper item?

Hallowreaper was the first, released on October 5, 2009 at 150 R$ with 939 copies. It is a Halloween mask, and it is older than almost every item collectors treat as classic Roblox trading stock.

### Why is Grim Glow's RAP higher than Scytheface's?

Grim Glow has a higher RAP because it sells more often. RAP moves by a fraction of the gap on every sale, so frequently traded items keep a current RAP while rarely traded ones hold an old one. Scytheface has 75 copies and very few sales, so its RAP lags behind what buyers actually pay.

### Are Roblox scythe Limiteds tradeable?

Yes. Every item in this family was created by Roblox, and the player-to-player Trade system supports Roblox-created Limiteds. Both sides of a trade need an active Roblox Plus subscription, and classic Limiteds carry a 2-day holding period after a trade before they can move again.

### How much do you keep when you resell a scythe Limited?

You keep 70% of the sale price on a classic Limited resale, because Roblox takes a 30% marketplace fee. Selling a Limited also requires an active Roblox Plus subscription on your account, though the buyer needs no subscription.

### Do scythe Limiteds go up in price around Halloween?

Attention rises in October, since seven of Roblox's fourteen scythe and reaper items launched that month and the theme is front of mind for players. Price effects vary item by item, so check the live ask against RAP before assuming a seasonal bump.
