Nothing in RBX Invest's catalog has ever launched at a higher price. Robux is Roblox's currency, written R$, so 20 copies at 2,000,000 R$ each adds up to about 40,000,000 R$ spent on one hat in a single afternoon. Roblox released it during The Hunt: Roblox 20, the platform's 20th-birthday event, and because Roblox made it, it counts as a classic Limited: an item sold in a fixed number of copies that players can trade and resell afterwards.

## What is Shedletsekkar, and why did it cost 2,000,000 Robux?

Roblox's own item record lists Shedletsekkar as a limited unique hat: a fixed stock of numbered copies, 20 of them, with a cap of one per account. The price is the part people keep re-reading. Two million Robux is roughly what a mid-tier Dominus trades for, and Roblox asked it for a brand-new hat. The one-per-account cap meant 20 separate buyers, so no single collector could corner the print. A print is the full run of copies an item ever gets.

Roblox Plus subscribers did not get a break on it either. Roblox's creator documentation says the Plus purchase discount, 10% for the first two months and 20% from the third consecutive month onward, [does not apply to items priced above 1,000,000 Robux](https://create.roblox.com/docs/en-us/production/monetization/roblox-plus). Every buyer paid the full 2,000,000 R$.

Its RAP currently reads 2,000,000 R$, matching the launch price exactly. Because the previous record belonged to a one-of-a-kind item, and the record for anything with more than one copy sat at a quarter of the price. The top of the list, ordered by what Roblox charged on day one:

The ROBLOX Tablets from 2012 were personalized single-copy hats sold at prices that climbed to 1,000,000 R$, and we told that story in the [ROBLOX Tablet series history](/articles/roblox-tablet-series-history-roblox). They were novelty sales to individual players, which is why their RAPs look so scattered today.

The two Federation crowns in that table carry the real lesson. Both have 10 copies. Lady of the Federation carries a RAP near 6,000,000 R$ while Lord of the Federation reads under 1,300,000 R$, and traders quietly price the Lord far above its RAP anyway. With 10 copies, a year can pass without one selling, and RAP only moves when a sale happens, so the number goes stale while the real asking prices climb. Expect the same lag on Shedletsekkar: the RAP will sit at 2,000,000 R$ until copy number one changes hands.

## How rare is a 20-copy Roblox Limited? Thinner than every Dominus

Rare enough to sit below every Dominus. Roblox lists 27 copies for Dominus Frigidus, 26 for Dominus Astra, 23 for Dominus Empyreus and 25 for the original Domino Crown. RBX Invest tracks 36 Roblox-published Limiteds with 20 or fewer copies, and 25 of those are one-of-a-kind items, mostly the 2012 tablets. Strip those out and Shedletsekkar joins a club of eleven, alongside Living Art: Starry Night at nine copies, Lady and Lord of the Federation at 10, The Kleos Aphthiton at 11, Memento Mori at 13 and Dark Assassin at 16.

Roblox has also spent years going the other direction. Its fixed-stock releases through 2025 ran enormous: Helsworn Valkyrie shipped 13,811 copies, Specter Time Fedora 10,078. The last time Roblox attached a stock under 100 copies to one of its own paid items was February 7, 2019, when the Emerald Valkyrie went out at 45,000 R$ with 51 copies. Seven and a half years later Roblox went from five figures of supply to 20 copies, which reads as a deliberate anniversary stunt. ## Where does the name Shedletsekkar come from?

From two Roblox employees and an 18-year-old joke. The Roblox Wiki documents that [The Dusekkar](https://roblox.fandom.com/wiki/Catalog:The_Dusekkar), a horned pumpkin hat, was published by Shedletsky on March 3, 2008 and made for Matt Dusek, who had said he would build Roblox's currency exchange if Shedletsky made him a pumpkin with horns. Roblox's asset record confirms that March 3, 2008 creation date. Shedletsekkar turns the gag around and names one after Shedletsky instead, and the [Roblox Wiki files it in the Pumpkin Head series](https://roblox.fandom.com/wiki/Catalog:Shedletsekkar) alongside the Dusekkar and its retextures, Ghosdeeri and Doomsekkar.

That lineage matters for pricing, because the pumpkin line already contains gems. A gem is a scarce Limited that trades well above the ordinary market.

Ghosdeeri holds the higher RAP of the two gems, and trader consensus on street value, meaning what collectors actually pay each other, still puts Eerie Pumpkin Head above it. The copy counts explain why: 34 against 428, and the cheapest Eerie Pumpkin Head on the market asks 49,500,000 R$ while a Ghosdeeri can be bought for 3,499,000 R$. RAP rewards items that sell often. Street value rewards items nobody will let go of.

## What was The Hunt: Roblox 20? Roblox's 20th-birthday event, September 17 to 28

Roblox's 20th-birthday event, and the reason this hat exists. Roblox announced [The Hunt: Roblox 20](https://devforum.roblox.com/t/join-the-hunt-roblox-20/4875900) on September 16, 2026 and ran it from September 17 to 28. Players worked through 20 games, one for each year of Roblox history going back to 2006, then unlocked a final stage called Year Infinity. The event also brought back the old Roblox logo, colors and font as a Classic app theme, and Roblox Plus subscribers got into the hub early at 9 AM PT on September 17 plus a shot at three exclusive items.

Shedletsekkar sold in the Marketplace for Robux, like any other item. The event quests handed out their own UGC rewards, and this hat went to whoever could pay for it. Roblox's anniversary lineup also included Telamon's Other Crafting Jewel at 1,000 R$, the Candles of Pwnage at 13,337 R$, the Birthday Time Fedora and the Vicennial Party Hat. ## What could a Shedletsekkar resell for, and what does the seller keep?

Nobody knows yet, because as of September 28, 2026 Roblox reports no resale listing on it at all. What we can work out is the floor a seller needs.

On a classic Limited resale, Roblox takes a 30% marketplace fee and the seller keeps 70%. Round numbers make it clear. Someone who paid 2,000,000 R$ needs about 2,900,000 R$ to break even, since 70% of 2,900,000 is just over 2,000,000. Sell at 4,000,000 R$ and you keep 2,800,000 R$, a profit of 800,000 R$ on a hat you held for a few weeks.

Three rules shape when that can happen:

- Reselling a Limited requires an active Roblox Plus subscription on the seller's account, per Roblox's [Marketplace fees and commissions documentation](https://create.roblox.com/docs/marketplace/marketplace-fees-and-commissions). A buyer needs no subscription.
- Trading needs Roblox Plus on both accounts. The same documentation states that only Roblox-created Limiteds are tradeable, and Shedletsekkar is Roblox-created, so it can move through trades as well as resales.
- Holding periods apply. A holding period is the wait after you get an item before you are allowed to resell it. Roblox's documentation describes a holding period of up to 30 days after you buy a Limited, and on classic Limiteds the two holds traders deal with day to day are seven days after a resale purchase and two days after a trade. My read: the first sale will be the loud one, and it will probably land far above 2,000,000 R$, because the buyers who paid full price for a 20-copy anniversary hat tend to hold for years. The risk sits on the other side. Twenty owners and one-per-account buying means the pool of people who can pay eight figures for a hat is small, and a copy can sit listed for months.
