*The Roblox Tee Vee series is seven TV hats from 2009 to 2025. Only two went Limited: see live RAP, copies and lowest asks for all seven.*

The Roblox Tee Vee series is a family of seven television hats that Roblox published between September 2009 and March 2025. Two of them became Limiteds, meaning items made in a fixed number of copies that players can resell and trade: the original Tee Vee, with 78,175 copies and a RAP of 1,531 R$, and the Broken Tee Vee, with 164,640 copies and a RAP of 573 R$. RAP is short for Recent Average Price, Roblox's smoothed average of an item's past sale prices. The other five Tee Vees were published without a copy cap, so nobody can trade or resell them at any price.

**Quick answer:** Seven Tee Vee hats exist. Only the Tee Vee (78,175 copies, 1,531 R$ RAP) and the Broken Tee Vee (164,640 copies, 573 R$ RAP) are Limiteds, and both rank inside the 40 highest-supply classic Limiteds Roblox ever sold for Robux.

Copies, RAP and lowest asks come from RBX Invest catalog data as of October 5, 2026. "Unlimited" means Roblox never capped the supply, so the item has no fixed copy count and no resale market.

## What is the Tee Vee series on Roblox? Seven TV hats with different faces

The Tee Vee is a grey cartoon television with two antennas and a smiling blue screen, worn as a hat. Roblox published the first one in 2009 and then kept returning to the mesh, swapping the texture and the face to make new versions: a cracked screen, a pink one, a possessed one, a pixelated one, a Santa one, and a glitched one for an event. The Roblox Wiki documents [seven members of the series](https://roblox.fandom.com/wiki/Tee_Vee_%28series%29), which matches what still shows up in Roblox's catalog data today.

Only two of the seven carry a copy count. That split is the whole story of this family, and it explains why one Tee Vee costs more than a thousand Robux while a similar one costs 95.

## Why does the original Tee Vee cost 1,599 Robux when it sold for 45?

![Tee Vee](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/15857936?size=420)

Roblox published the [Tee Vee](/item/15857936) on September 14, 2009 with the description "In Soviet Russia, Tee Vee watches you!" and a price of 45 Robux. It sat in the catalog for almost eight years at that price, which is why so many accounts own one.

In May 2017 Roblox ran its annual Memorial Day sale and flipped a batch of popular catalog items to Limited status, the Tee Vee among them. Once an item goes Limited, Roblox stops selling new copies and the supply freezes wherever it landed. The Tee Vee froze at 78,175 copies by our count. A supply freeze on a cheap, widely owned hat is the most common way a classic Limited gets made, and the mechanic is worth understanding before you buy anything that is still on sale: see [how offsale Roblox items become Limiteds](/articles/offsale-roblox-items-going-limited).

The numbers today:

- RAP: 1,531 R$, about 34 times the 45 R$ release price.
- Lowest ask: 1,599 R$. The lowest ask is the cheapest copy any reseller currently has listed.
- Favorites: 65,453.

Selling one is where new traders get surprised. Roblox takes a 30% marketplace fee on a classic Limited resale, so a seller who moves a copy at 1,599 R$ keeps about 1,119 R$. To break even on a copy bought at 1,599 R$ you need to sell at roughly 2,284 R$, a 43% move. The full fee breakdown lives in our [Roblox marketplace fees guide](/articles/roblox-marketplace-fees-explained).

## How many copies does the Broken Tee Vee have? 164,640, one of the largest print runs

![Broken Tee Vee](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/241670187?size=420)

The [Broken Tee Vee](/item/241670187) is the same mesh with a smashed screen and the description "Sorry tee vee, everyone watches shows on the internet now." Roblox published it in April 2015 for 100 Robux, and it stayed on sale for over seven years before going Limited on July 11, 2022. By then it had been bought so many times that it froze at 164,640 copies.

A print is a collector's word for the total number of copies a Limited was made in. Across the 2,078 classic Limiteds that originally sold for Robux, the median print is 1,001 copies. The Broken Tee Vee's print is 164 times that, and only 19 paid classic Limiteds have more copies. The original Tee Vee is 37th on the same list. Both of them live in the territory covered by our piece on [the Roblox Limiteds with the most copies](/articles/roblox-limited-most-copies).

That supply shows up in the price. The Broken Tee Vee's RAP is 573 R$, roughly 5.7 times its 100 R$ release price, and the cheapest listed copy sits at 715 R$. It has 68,617 favorites, slightly more than the original, so plenty of players still want one. With 164,640 copies in circulation there is almost always someone willing to undercut you.

The upside of a huge print is liquidity, which means how quickly you can turn an item into Robux. Items like this usually sell within hours, and they let you practise buying and listing without putting much at risk. Our [deal feed](/deals) surfaces copies listed under RAP, and it needs a signed-in account.

## Can you trade the Tee Vees that never went Limited? No, five of the seven

Five Tee Vees were published as normal catalog items. Roblox's player-to-player trade system and the resale market both work on Limiteds only, so these five sit in inventories permanently.

- **Ms. Tee Vee** (May 2015) and the **8-Bit Tee Vee** (July 5, 2018) are still on sale right now at 95 Robux each. Anyone can buy one today.
- The **Possessed Tee Vee** went on sale in October 2017 for 500 Robux on a three-day timer. The Roblox Wiki records about 3,488 copies bought before the timer ran out.
- The **Santa Tee Vee** followed in December 2018 at 700 Robux on a 24-hour timer, with roughly 2,363 copies bought.
- The **Corrupt Tee Vee** was a free prize from The Hunt: Mega Edition in March 2025, handed out for solving a puzzle in the event hub.

Look at those copy counts next to the Limiteds. The Possessed Tee Vee exists in a few thousand accounts while the Broken Tee Vee exists in 164,640, and the rarer hat has no price at all, because Roblox never made it tradeable. Scarcity only turns into value when an item can change hands. That is the single most useful lesson in this whole family, and it applies to every offsale catalog item someone tries to sell you a story about.

## Do the UGC Tee Vee homages hold value? The top six all sit under 1,200 R$ RAP

The Tee Vee design is one of the most copied in the UGC era. UGC Limiteds are Limiteds built by community creators, and they launched in April 2023. We track 16 UGC Tee Vee Limiteds, and 14 of them were made in 50 copies or fewer, with a median run of 12 copies. The six with the highest RAP:

| Item | Published | Copies | RAP | Lowest ask |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/119250842614249?size=150) [Overseer Tee Vee](/item/119250842614249) | Oct 2024 | 10 | 1,151 R$ | None listed |
| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/133405404964256?size=150) [1x1x1x1's Tee Vee](/item/133405404964256) | Mar 2025 | 10 | 1,000 R$ | None listed |
| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/106596106578705?size=150) [Cardboard Tee Vee](/item/106596106578705) | Sep 2025 | 11 | 659 R$ | None listed |
| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/76653587573106?size=150) [Waffle Tee Vee](/item/76653587573106) | Nov 2025 | 500 | 553 R$ | 699 R$ |
| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/111049069394812?size=150) [Malware Tee Vee](/item/111049069394812) | Sep 2024 | 12 | 521 R$ | None listed |
| ![](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/17770343353?size=150) [The Tee Vee Demon](/item/17770343353) | Jun 2024 | 15 | 429 R$ | None listed |

"None listed" means Roblox is currently returning no resale price for that item, so no copy is on the market at any price. On a 10-copy item that happens often, and it makes RAP a weak guide: one sale can set the whole figure. Read [what RAP actually measures](/articles/what-is-rap-roblox) before you treat any of these numbers as a market price.

Two things matter if you shop in this corner. UGC Limiteds cannot be traded, so the only way out of one is a resale, and on a UGC resale the reseller receives 50% of the sale price per Roblox's marketplace documentation, which means a copy has to double in price before you break even. And a familiar name on a UGC item tells you nothing about who made it, which is the trick behind [fake Roblox Limiteds and name-squatting](/articles/roblox-fake-limiteds-name-squatting).

## What drives the Tee Vee family's price?

Three things, in order of weight.

**Supply.** Both Limiteds have prints large enough that a seller never has pricing power. When a copy appears below RAP, it sells, and the next-lowest ask becomes the new floor. Prices in this family move in small steps.

**The 2009 date.** The original Tee Vee is a genuine first-generation hat from a year when Roblox sold very few accessories, and a 2009 publish date carries weight with collectors no matter how many copies exist. That age premium is a large part of why a 78,175-copy hat holds 1,531 R$ while its 164,640-copy sequel holds 573 R$.

**Recognition.** 65,453 and 68,617 favorites put both hats among the better-known classics, and the UGC homage wave keeps the shape in front of new players. Favorites do not move prices directly, which we dug into in [do Roblox favorites affect Limited value](/articles/do-roblox-favorites-affect-limited-value), though they are a decent read on how many people know an item.

## Collector's outlook: what to watch on the Tee Vees

The original Tee Vee is the one worth tracking. It combines a 2009 publish date with a price under 2,000 Robux, and very few classics from that era are still that cheap. If you want a first-generation hat in your inventory without spending six figures of Robux, this and the items on our [cheapest Limiteds list](/collections/cheap-limiteds-under-100) are the realistic entries.

The Broken Tee Vee earns its keep as a trading hat. 164,640 copies will not get scarce, and the gap between its 573 R$ RAP and its 715 R$ ask shows how little room sellers have. Buy it to learn the mechanics, or to flip a below-RAP copy, and keep expectations modest.

Two rules keep you out of trouble on both. Trading a classic Limited needs an active Roblox Plus subscription on both accounts, and reselling needs one on the seller's account. And Roblox applies a holding period after you acquire a copy, a window where the item cannot move: 7 days after a resale purchase and 2 days after a trade. Plan around it before you commit to a flip.

You can compare either hat against every other classic on our [classic hats collection](/collections/classic-hats) and the [items leaderboard](/items-leaderboard).

Nothing here is financial advice. Robux and Limiteds are virtual items, and prices can fall as fast as they rise.

## FAQ

### How many Tee Vee items are there in Roblox?

Seven. The Tee Vee (2009), Broken Tee Vee (2015), Ms. Tee Vee (2015), Possessed Tee Vee (2017), 8-Bit Tee Vee (2018), Santa Tee Vee (2018) and Corrupt Tee Vee (2025). Two of the seven are Limiteds, and the Roblox Wiki documents the same seven members.

### Is the Tee Vee a Limited on Roblox?

Yes. The original Tee Vee became a Limited during Roblox's Memorial Day sale in May 2017, which froze its supply at 78,175 copies. It had sold for 45 Robux in the catalog since September 2009.

### How much is a Tee Vee worth on Roblox?

The Tee Vee has a RAP of 1,531 Robux and the cheapest listed copy sits at 1,599 Robux as of October 5, 2026. That is roughly 34 times its 45 Robux release price, though a seller keeps about 70% of the sale price after Roblox's marketplace fee.

### Which Tee Vee has the most copies?

The Broken Tee Vee, with 164,640 copies. Only 19 classic Limiteds that originally sold for Robux have larger prints, and the median classic Limited print is 1,001 copies. Its RAP is 573 Robux.

### Can you still buy a Tee Vee from the Roblox catalog?

Two of them. Ms. Tee Vee and the 8-Bit Tee Vee are still on sale at 95 Robux each. The two Limiteds can only be bought from resellers, and the Possessed, Santa and Corrupt Tee Vees are offsale with no legitimate way to obtain them.

### Can you trade a Possessed Tee Vee or a Santa Tee Vee?

No. Neither was published as a Limited, so they cannot be traded or resold at any price. Only Limiteds move between accounts, which is why a few thousand copies of the Possessed Tee Vee are worth less on the market than 164,640 copies of the Broken Tee Vee.

### Are the UGC Tee Vee items worth buying?

They are riskier than the classics. Most were made in 50 copies or fewer, several have no copy listed for sale at all, and a single sale can set the whole RAP. UGC Limiteds also cannot be traded, and a reseller receives 50% of the sale price, so a copy must double before you break even.

### Why did the Broken Tee Vee go Limited in 2022?

Roblox switched it from catalog sale to Limited status on July 11, 2022, after more than seven years on sale at 100 Robux. Roblox has done the same to other popular catalog items during sale events, and the supply freezes at whatever had already been bought, which for this hat was 164,640 copies.
