*The Vault series is Roblox's item line from The Hunt: First Edition (March 2024). Four went Limited; see live RAP, copies and lowest asks.*

The Vault series is a line of metallic-blue avatar items Roblox made for The Hunt: First Edition, the platform-wide event that ran from March 15 to March 30, 2024. Most of them were free quest rewards. Four were sold for Robux on 24-hour timers and became Limiteds, meaning items with a fixed supply that players can resell and trade. The headline piece was the [Vault Commando](/item/16733641790) at 40,000 Robux, and it is the series' cautionary tale: 1,849 copies sold, and its RAP now sits around 7,765 R$. Only one of the four, the Vault Swordpack, trades above what launch buyers paid.

**Quick answer:** Four Vault items are Limiteds. The Vault Swordpack (323 copies) is up roughly 70% on its 36,000 Robux launch price, while the Vault Commando (1,849 copies) is down about 81% from 40,000 Robux, the Vault Glider Wings (949 copies) are down about 51%, and the Infinite Vault Star-glasses sit flat near 1,000 Robux.

RAP stands for Recent Average Price, a smoothed average of an item's whole sale history that Roblox publishes on every Limited. Copies is the total number ever sold. The lowest ask is the cheapest copy listed for sale right now.

## What is the Vault series in Roblox? Roblox's item line for The Hunt

The Vault series is a texture, a brushed metallic blue, applied across a run of accessories Roblox published between March 15 and March 29, 2024. The Roblox Wiki catalogues 14 of them under the Vault texture, and The Hunt handed out further Vault-branded rewards alongside that list. Every one of them carries the same line in its description: "This avatar item was acquired during The Hunt: First Edition."

The Hunt was Roblox's first big platform-wide event in years, and it was enormous. Roblox's own April 2024 newsroom recap put it at 34 million users who spent 128 million hours completing 212 million quests across 100 participating experiences. Players hopped through portals in a hub called the Infinite Vault, earned badges for finishing quests in partner games, then came back to the hub to claim items. Five quests got you a starter reward. Ninety-five or more earned the Infinite Egg.

That structure is why the series splits so cleanly in two. The quest rewards were free and unlimited, so they have no resale market at all. The four paid pieces went on sale in the Marketplace and inside the Hunt experience on short timers, and when the timer ran out, whatever had sold became the permanent supply.

### The free Vault rewards, and why they are worth nothing

![Vault Holo-compass](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/16733390604?size=420)

The quest prizes included the [Vault Holo-compass](/item/16733390604), the [Vault Explorer's Wings](/item/16733434702), the [Staff of the Vault Explorer](/item/16733417644), the [Vault Explorer's Crown](/item/16733456159) and the [Vault Explorer's Cowl](/item/16733447556). They are popular: the Holo-compass has been favorited 69,881 times, more than any paid item in the series by a wide margin. The [Vault Star Headphones](/item/16733539448) came out of the same batch and is also free and unlimited in our catalog.

None of them is a Limited. They were handed out in unlimited numbers to anyone who did the quests, so there is no fixed supply, no serial number (the ownership number stamped on each copy of a Limited), no RAP and no resale. Roblox's newsroom also mentions a Hunt-exclusive gold version of the Vault Headphones that creators handed out to their viewers during the event. Popularity and price are separate things on Roblox, and this series is a clean demonstration of it.

## Which Vault items are Limiteds? Four of them

All four paid Vault items were made by Roblox itself, which makes them classic Limiteds. That matters more than it sounds. Roblox's [marketplace documentation](https://create.roblox.com/docs/marketplace/marketplace-fees-and-commissions) states plainly that only Roblox-created Limiteds are tradeable, so these four can move through the player-to-player trade system. UGC Limiteds, the ones built by other players, can only change hands through a Marketplace resale.

### Vault Swordpack: the only winner

![Vault Swordpack](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/16744155285?size=420)

The [Vault Swordpack](/item/16744155285) went on sale March 16, 2024 at 36,000 Robux and went Limited on March 21. It is a blue retexture and remesh of the old Deluxe Ninja Swordpack, and at that price only 323 people bought one.

That number is the whole story. 323 copies against the Commando's 1,849 is a supply difference of nearly six to one, and the Swordpack's RAP of 61,201 R$ is about eight times the Commando's. The cheapest copy listed right now is 55,498 R$. A thin print, meaning few copies ever made, is the one thing in this series that held up.

Launch buyers actually made money here, which is rare for an expensive event item. Roblox takes a 30% cut when a classic Limited resells, so a seller keeps 70% of the sale price. On a 36,000 R$ cost that means you need to sell at about 51,400 R$ just to get your Robux back. At today's lowest ask the Swordpack clears that.

### Vault Commando: 40,000 Robux down to under 8,000

![Vault Commando](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/16733641790?size=420)

The [Vault Commando](/item/16733641790) was the most expensive item of The Hunt at 40,000 Robux. It went on sale March 24, 2024 and closed the next day with 1,849 copies sold. Its RAP is 7,765 R$ and the lowest ask is 7,980 R$.

A launch buyer would need roughly 57,100 R$ to break even after the 30% fee. Copies are selling for about a seventh of that.

The Commando crashed because it was popular. It is a blue entry in the [Commando series](/articles/commando-series-history-roblox), one of the most recognizable hat lines Roblox ever made, so a lot of people wanted it, and a lot of people bought it inside a 24-hour window with no stock cap. Demand at launch became supply forever. Favorites tell the same story from the other side: 2,953 favorites, the most of any paid Vault item, on the piece that lost the most value.

### Vault Glider Wings: the quiet middle

![Vault Glider Wings](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/16744173343?size=420)

The [Vault Glider Wings](/item/16744173343) were the last Vault Limited to go on sale, listed March 29, 2024 at 17,000 Robux and Limited from March 30. The Roblox Wiki records that the sale window was stretched to 26 hours instead of the usual 24 because the event was ending. 949 copies sold.

RAP is 8,322 R$ and the lowest ask is 7,675 R$, so roughly half the launch price. The Wings sit between the Swordpack's 323 copies and the Commando's 1,849 on supply, and they land between the two on price as well.

### Infinite Vault Star-glasses: flat, and still a loss

![Infinite Vault Star-glasses](https://img.rbxinvest.com/item/16733631749?size=420)

The [Infinite Vault Star-glasses](/item/16733631749) were the first Vault item to release, on March 15, 2024, at 1,000 Robux. 10,010 copies sold, far more than the other three combined. RAP is 1,015 R$ and the lowest ask is 1,014 R$.

Read quickly, that looks like a push. The 30% fee changes the answer: a seller nets 70% of 1,014 R$, about 710 R$ on a 1,000 R$ purchase. Two and a half years of holding to lose roughly 29%.

The Star-glasses also have the strangest paperwork in the series. They sold in March 2024 but did not become a Limited until April 18, 2025, more than a year later, which the Roblox Wiki attributes to a Developer Forum request pointing out the item had been advertised as limited. We could not confirm that reason from an official Roblox source, so treat the cause as community-documented. The date gap itself is visible in the resale history.

## Why did three of four Vault Limiteds lose money? Timed sales set their own supply

A timed Limited does not have a stock number. Roblox puts it on sale, starts a clock, and the supply becomes however many copies sell before the clock runs out. The seller picks the price and the duration; the buyers decide the rarity.

That is a bad deal for a launch buyer on a hyped item. The more people who show up, the more copies exist, and the more copies exist, the lower the resale floor settles. The resale floor is the price level where sellers stop undercutting each other because nobody will go lower. Across the four Vault items the pattern is almost perfectly inverted against supply:

- 323 copies: up 70%
- 949 copies: down 51%
- 1,849 copies: down 81%
- 10,010 copies: flat on RAP, a loss after fees

Roblox has tightened the mechanics since. Its marketplace documentation now caps Limited buying at a maximum of 3 successful purchases per user per item, with 9 successful purchases per minute per user and one purchase request every 2 seconds per item per user. Those limits make a repeat of the Commando's 1,849 copies in 24 hours harder, though they also mean a serious buyer can no longer quietly take 50 copies of a thin release.

Roblox still makes classic Limiteds this way, and you can see which ones are holding up on the [Limited items leaderboard](/items-leaderboard) or by browsing every Roblox-made Limited hat on the [classic hats collection](/collections/classic-hats). Our guide to [whether Roblox still makes classic Limiteds](/articles/does-roblox-still-make-classic-limiteds) covers the release cadence since 2024.

## Should you buy a Vault Limited now? Start with the copy count

If you want one of these for your avatar, the Commando and the Glider Wings are the value plays in the series: both are under 8,000 R$ at the lowest ask, down from five-figure launch prices, and both are genuine 2024 Roblox-made Limiteds with a real event behind them. The Swordpack is the collector piece at 323 copies, and it has already proven that traders will pay up for a thin print.

The honest caveat is that nothing here has a catalyst. The Hunt is over, the series is closed, and Roblox has already run a sequel event, The Hunt: Mega Edition, in March 2025. Items like this tend to drift with the broader market. If you are buying the Commando at 7,980 R$ hoping it climbs back toward 40,000 R$, you are betting on nostalgia demand that has not shown up in two and a half years.

One practical note before you buy a copy: after you purchase a classic Limited from a reseller you cannot resell it for 7 days, and after receiving one in a trade there is a 2-day hold. Our [holding periods guide](/articles/roblox-limited-holding-periods) breaks down every timer, and trading or reselling at all needs an active Roblox Plus subscription, which we cover in the [history of trading subscriptions](/articles/builders-club-to-roblox-plus-trading-history). None of this is financial advice; Limiteds are virtual collectibles and their prices can fall as easily as they rise.

Release dates, prices and series membership were checked against Roblox's Marketplace documentation, Roblox's April 2024 newsroom recap of The Hunt: First Edition and the community-maintained Roblox Wiki; RAP, copy counts, favorites and lowest asks are RBX Invest catalog data as of October 2026.

## FAQ

### What is the Vault series in Roblox?

The Vault series is a set of metallic-blue avatar accessories Roblox published for The Hunt: First Edition between March 15 and March 29, 2024. Most were free quest rewards, and four were sold for Robux and became Limiteds. The Roblox Wiki catalogues 14 items under the Vault texture.

### How many Vault items are Limiteds?

Four: the Vault Swordpack, the Vault Commando, the Vault Glider Wings and the Infinite Vault Star-glasses. The rest were free event rewards with unlimited supply, so they have no RAP and cannot be resold.

### What was the most expensive item in The Hunt: First Edition?

The Vault Commando at 40,000 Robux. It was on sale for 24 hours starting March 24, 2024, sold 1,849 copies, and its RAP is now about 7,765 R$, roughly 81% below the launch price.

### Which Vault Limited is worth the most?

The Vault Swordpack. With 323 copies it is the thinnest print in the series, and its RAP of 61,201 R$ is about eight times the Vault Commando's. The cheapest listed copy is 55,498 R$.

### Can you trade Vault Limiteds?

Yes. All four were created by Roblox, and Roblox's marketplace documentation states that only Roblox-created Limiteds are tradeable, so these four work in the player-to-player trade system. Both sides of a trade need an active Roblox Plus subscription.

### Why did the Vault Commando drop so much in value?

Because it sold on a 24-hour timer with no stock cap and a lot of people bought it. 1,849 copies is a large supply for a Roblox-made Limited, and the resale floor settled accordingly. Popularity at launch turns into permanent supply.

### Are the free Vault items from The Hunt worth anything?

No. Items like the Vault Holo-compass and the Vault Explorer's Wings were given to every player who finished the quests, so they have unlimited supply and no resale market, even though the Holo-compass has nearly 70,000 favorites.

### When did the Infinite Vault Star-glasses become a Limited?

April 18, 2025, more than a year after they sold on March 15, 2024. They were the first Vault item released and the last to gain Limited status, with 10,010 copies in circulation.
