Where Limited Items come from, how to tell a good one from a bad one before you spend a single Robux, and how to pick some up for free if you are starting with zero.

## Where do you buy a Limited Item?

Every UGC Limited Item starts on the Roblox Marketplace with a price and a copy count set by its creator. While copies remain, anyone can buy one from the creator at that price. When the last one sells, the item is sold out, and from then on the only copies for sale are the ones players list for resale, at whatever price they pick.

Most of the profit in Limited Items starts right there: buy at the creator’s price, before the sell-out, and sell later to someone who missed it. The New UGC Limiteds page lists every one as it lands, newest first, with the price and the copies still left.

## What makes a Limited Item worth buying?

Four things, and you want most of them at once.

A price you can double: Roblox keeps half of every resale of a UGC Limited Item, so you only break even when you sell for twice what you paid. An item bought for 100 R$ has to resell for 200 R$ just to get your Robux back.

Few copies: Scarcity is what sets a price. The fewer copies exist, the more each one is worth once they are gone.

A creator with a track record: Some creators’ items keep making their buyers money. Others rarely do. Past results are the best guide you have to the next release.

People actually buying it: An item that sells every day is one you can sell too. One that sells once a month can leave you holding it.

## How does RBX Invest help you pick?

You do not have to judge any of that by feel. The site scores and ranks the whole market for you.

Prediction Score: Every UGC Limited Item gets a score from 0 to 100 when it is released, built from the creator’s history, the words in its title, how many copies exist and its price. The item page shows it with the chance of a profit and an estimated profit per day. Higher is better, and the items leaderboard can sort by it.

Creator Profitability: Each creator page shows the chance their next release turns a profit, worked out from how their past paid Limited Items actually did.

Items leaderboard: Every Limited Item with its RAP, price, growth and sales volume, sortable and filterable, so you can see what is selling before you buy.

Deals: A live feed of Limited Items listed below their RAP right now, for when you would rather buy from a player than a creator.

## Which Limited Items should you avoid?

Most bad buys fall into one of these.

Items that never sell out: If the creator still has hundreds of copies at full price, nobody needs to buy yours for more. In the site’s own history, most paid items that never sold out never made their buyers a profit.

Resale switched off: Some Limited Items can never be resold at all. Check before you buy. The New UGC Limiteds page hides them unless you untick Resellable only.

Joke prices: Sellers sometimes list at absurd prices, millions of Robux for a small item. Ignore the listing and look at the RAP, which only moves on real sales.

Robux you need next week: After you buy a Limited Item, Roblox makes you hold it for up to 30 days before you can resell it. Only spend what you can leave alone for a month.

## Can you get Limited Items for free?

Yes. Many UGC Limited Items launch at 0 Robux, because creators give items away to build an audience. They go quickly and usually allow one copy per account. Most free ones stay worth little, but a slice of them later sells for real Robux, and every Robux you get from a free item is profit.

The Free Roblox Limiteds page ranks every free-launch Limited Item that has since picked up a resale price, so you can see which kinds of free items went on to be worth something.

## Where do free Limited Items turn up?

Three places, from rarest to most reliable.

Free drops on the Marketplace: Creators release free Limited Items on the Marketplace, and they can be claimed out in minutes. On the New UGC Limiteds page, untick Hide free items to watch for them as they land.

Community giveaways: Some creator groups and communities run their own drops and giveaways for members. A real giveaway never needs your password or your login, so walk away from anyone who asks for either.

Playing games: Some Roblox games award UGC Limited Items for playing: finishing a quest, joining an event or reaching a milestone. All they cost is the time you spend playing.

## What do you need before you can sell a free one?

The same as for any Limited Item: Roblox Plus on your account, and the holding period of up to 30 days to pass. Roblox still keeps half of the sale, but on an item that cost nothing, the half you keep is all profit. Many players sell a couple of free Limited Items to raise the Robux for their first paid one, and Step 2 covers how.
