What is the Elemental Helm series? Five black iron helms, one per element
The Roblox Wiki files these under Helm of the Element, and traders usually just say elemental helms. They share one silhouette: a dark iron cap with a colored shape rising out of the top. A red flame for fire, blue spikes for ice, a bolt for lightning, a leaf for wood, and a gold marker for earth.
Roblox published the first, the Helm of the Secret Fire, in December 2007, and the last, the Helm of the Sacred Earth, in February 2010. Nothing has been added since. If you like this look, the classic hats collection and the knight and armor collection hold the rest of Roblox's medieval headwear.

Where did each Elemental Helm come from? Two gift boxes and three contests
Three were building contest prizes. The other two came inside gift boxes during Roblox's Giftsplosion events, and those boxes were sold for Robux for a short window after the claim period closed. That sale window is a large part of why the two gift helms have prints in the thousands while the contest helms sit in the low hundreds.
Helm of the Secret Fire, December 2007
The oldest helm in the set came out of the Black Iron Gift of Pwnage during Giftsplosion 2007, Roblox's first gift-giving event. Gift boxes appeared in the catalog, you claimed one by meeting a requirement hidden in a riddle, the box went on sale for Robux once the claim period ended, and then it opened and turned into an item. At 2,961 copies it is the second largest print in the family, and its RAP of 29,637 Robux makes it the more expensive of the two entry-level helms.
Helm of the Frozen North, January 2008
This one went to players who took part in the Winter Wonderland building contest, a few weeks after the fire helm. 242 copies exist. It is the only elemental helm that is both genuinely scarce and reasonably well known, which helps if you ever want to sell without waiting a year for a buyer.
Helm of the Flashing Bolt, December 2008
The funniest origin story of the five. It came out of the Tragic Gift of Reparations, a gift box awarded to players who had been killed in game by Shedletsky, the admin better known as Telamon. The box read as an apology. The helm's description, "Maybe this will help protect you from Telamon...", is the only one in the set that skips the poetry.
6,665 copies makes it the largest print here and the cheapest way into the family, with RAP at 19,016 Robux and a cheapest listing of 18,780.
Helm of the Great Tree, April 2009
Awarded to the winners of the Worlds of Wood building contest, documented as the top 100 entries, and 106 copies exist today. It is the rarest elemental helm and the one traders value most.
It is also the only helm in the set with a documented in-game effect. The Roblox Wiki lists two pieces of gear, the Staff of Sparks and the Staff of the Woodlands, as giving the user a bonus when they wear the Helm of the Great Tree. Cosmetics that changed how gear behaved were a very 2009 idea, and almost nothing on the modern marketplace works that way.
Helm of the Sacred Earth, February 2010
The last member, and the strictest to earn. It went to entrants in the Mountain Adventure building contest who scored 95% or higher, which produced 116 copies. It closed the series out, and the elemental idea never came back.
Why is the Helm of the Great Tree worth 13 times the Helm of the Flashing Bolt? Copy count
The two helms are the same black iron design with a different symbol on top. One has 106 copies, the other has 6,665. That is a 63 to 1 supply difference, and it shows up as a 13 to 1 gap in RAP: 255,991 Robux against 19,016.
RAP stands for Recent Average Price, and it is Roblox's smoothed running average of what copies have actually sold for. It is not the average of the last ten sales. Why does RAP understate three of these helms? Thin markets
Look at the table again. The Helm of the Sacred Earth has a lower RAP than the Helm of the Frozen North, 166,993 against 251,168. By what traders will actually pay, the order flips: consensus street value puts the Sacred Earth level with the Great Tree at the top of the family, above the Frozen North.
That happens because RAP only updates when a copy sells, and on a 116-copy item copies almost never sell. A number set by trades from months or years back is still the number on the page. Meanwhile the cheapest listing on the Sacred Earth sits at 3,500,000 Robux, which is roughly 21 times its RAP. The Great Tree asks 2,999,999 and the Frozen North asks 2,000,000.
Do not read those asks as market prices either. On a thin item a seller can park a listing anywhere and wait. The true clearing price sits somewhere between the stale RAP and the hopeful ask, and nobody knows where until a copy moves. To watch for that, the items leaderboard tracks price and RAP changes across the catalog, and the Deals feed flags listings that drop below RAP (you need to be signed in for that one).
The two cheap helms behave completely differently. Secret Fire's RAP is 29,637 and its cheapest listing is 28,110. Flashing Bolt's RAP is 19,016 and its ask is 18,780. When thousands of copies exist, sales happen often enough that RAP and the resale floor (the lowest price anyone is currently asking) converge. That is what a healthy market looks like.
What does it cost to sell an Elemental Helm? Roblox takes 30%
These are classic Limiteds, meaning Roblox made them, so they can be both traded and resold.
On a resale, Roblox takes a 30% marketplace fee and you keep 70%. Sell a Flashing Bolt at 20,000 Robux and 14,000 lands in your account. That also means the price has to rise about 1.43 times what you paid before you break even. Two other rules to plan around. You cannot resell right away: buying a classic Limited from a reseller starts a 7-day holding period, and receiving one in a trade starts a 2-day one, which our holding periods guide breaks down. Are Elemental Helms a good buy in 2026? An honest read
The two cheap helms are the interesting ones for most collectors. Under 30,000 Robux gets you a genuine 2007 or 2008 item with a documented origin, and thousands of copies means you can actually sell it later. That is a very different bet from a 106-copy contest helm.
The three contest helms are gem-tier: scarce, expensive, and slow. If you buy one you should expect to hold it for years and to sell it through a trade rather than a listing, because the pool of people who can afford one is small. The upside is that supply genuinely cannot grow. Roblox is not running a Worlds of Wood contest again, and the series has been closed for over sixteen years.
What would change the picture is attention. These helms have never had the pull of a Valkyrie Helm or a Dominus, and quiet items stay quiet for long stretches. If you are shopping the top of the classic market, the rarest Limiteds collection is a better starting screen than any single family.
