Unlike the modern wave of creator-made weapons, Periastrons are Classic Limiteds: Roblox itself published every entry in the series, years before the UGC Limited program existed. Release History: Every Confirmed Variant

The naming convention pairs a color with a Greek letter, though the letters don't run in alphabetical or chronological order, Kappa shipped before Mu, and Psi, Chi, and Omega arrived out of sequence entirely. One entry, Ivory Periastron, skipped the Greek suffix altogether despite being the sixth release.

Noir Periastron Psi stands apart from the rest of the family: it wasn't sold in the catalog at all. Roblox handed it out to players who redeemed Walmart gift cards during a summer 2013 promotion, distributing over 3,000 copies before the item went Limited and stopped circulating through that channel. Three variants lean into a season: Joyful Periastron Epsilon shipped for Easter with an egg particle effect, Festive Periastron Chi arrived on Christmas Eve 2013, and Fall Periastron Xi launched for autumn 2018 with a leaf effect. Fall Periastron Xi is also the family's last release. As of this writing, Roblox hasn't added a twelfth Periastron in close to eight years, which is a long silence for a series that used to ship every year or two.

Live Market Data: Ranked by Trader Consensus

RAP tells only part of the story on a thin, thirteen-year-old series like this one. When we ordered these eleven swords by trader consensus street value instead of raw RAP, three of them moved enough to change the conversation. Amethyst Periastron Kappa is the standout: it ranks fifth by RAP but jumps to third by what traders actually pay for it, a textbook case of stale RAP on a thin market where sales are rare enough that the smoothed average hasn't caught up to real demand. Chartreuse Periastron Gamma climbs a spot the same way. Ivory Periastron sits alone at the top, and its combination of low original stock (125 copies, the smallest first-run of any variant) and status as the sixth, letter-less entry has made it the flagship of the family since the day it launched. Every color that followed had to compete with Ivory for the "main" Periastron slot, and none has caught up.

Scarcity is baked in, not manufactured. Every original stock in this table sits between 100 and 400 copies, tiny by the standards of most tradeable Limiteds, and the total supply of most variants has only shrunk since as copies get deleted or locked away in inactive accounts. Grimgold Periastron Beta and Noir Periastron Psi carry the largest surviving quantities (397 and 3,030 respectively), which is exactly why they sit at the bottom of the value ranking despite reasonable RAP figures: more copies means more competition among sellers.

Thin trading explains the RAP/value gaps. A sword that sells once every few months doesn't get a chance to correct its RAP the way a high-volume item does. That's the mechanism behind Amethyst Periastron Kappa trading well above its RAP: too few recent sales for the smoothing formula to reflect where buyers and sellers are actually meeting.

The frozen release schedule cuts both ways for collectors. No new Periastron since 2018 means no dilution risk from a twelfth color splitting demand, but it also means the series isn't generating new attention the way an active line would. Whether that's bullish or just quiet depends on whether Roblox ever revives the format.

Collector's Outlook

Periastrons are Classic Limiteds, so the standard rules apply: a 2-day hold after a trade, a 7-day hold after a resale purchase, and the usual 30% marketplace fee on any resale (you keep 70%). None of the eleven variants are cheap to enter at RAP, but the spread between the priciest (Ivory, over a million RAP) and the cheapest (Festive Chi, under 100,000 RAP) means there's a real entry point for a Periastron at more than one budget tier.

A thin-market item like Kappa or Gamma can look expensive on RAP alone while actually trading below what a patient buyer would pay for a copy, or the reverse.
