Roblox 20th Birthday Items: Which Ones You Can Resell

Roblox published 85 items for its 20th birthday in September 2026, and only Shedletsekkar, a 20-copy hat, is a Limited you can resell.

Roblox published 85 avatar items under its own account in September 2026 for its 20th birthday, and in RBX Invest catalog data exactly one of them can be resold: Shedletsekkar, a hat released in 20 copies at 2,000,000 Robux. The rest of the birthday drops, from the 50,000 R$ Birthday Time Fedora down to the free hats handed out during The Hunt: Roblox 20, went out as ordinary catalog items with unlimited stock, so they carry no copy count and no resale market. A Limited is an item sold in a capped number of copies that owners are allowed to resell to each other, and Robux (written R$) is the currency all of it is priced in.

Quick answer: Shedletsekkar is the only resellable Limited in Roblox's 20th-birthday wave. Roblox's own item data returns a quantity of zero and no resale price for every other September 2026 drop, including the Birthday Time Fedora and all the items earned through The Hunt: Roblox 20, so those stay in the inventory of whoever got them.

Every birthday drop in the RBX Invest catalog, in the order Roblox published it:

What did Roblox release for its 20th birthday? Seventeen items across September 2026

The wave started on September 8 with three shop items: a 105 R$ party hat, a 2,000 R$ confetti back accessory, and the Birthday Time Fedora at 50,000 R$. A week later came the Vicennial Balloons, a free Vicennial Visor given out inside experiences, and the Candles of Pwnage at 13,337 R$.

Then the event took over. Roblox's newsroom announcement for The Hunt: Roblox 20 puts the event from September 17 to 28, with players working through one game per year of the platform's history. The items Roblox published during that window arrived with no Robux price attached: The Twentieth Teapot and Crossroads Tower on September 17, the Towering Pillar of UGC on September 22, The Year of the Bloxxer on September 25.

Mixed in with the quests were more paid drops. Two cake pieces and the Opal King of the Night landed on September 22, the Opal crown on a timed sale that ran out on September 28. Shedletsekkar went up on September 24 at 2,000,000 R$. Telamon's Other Crafting Jewel followed at 1,000 R$ on September 25.

That accounts for 17 of the 85 items our catalog recorded under the Roblox account that month. Most of the remainder are event badges, including 14 separate rows all named The Hunt: Roblox 20 Badge, one for each participating game. The pattern carried into October too: the free Duck-o-Lantern from the Halloween quests, published October 5, has no copy count and no resale price either.

Can you resell Roblox's 20th birthday items? Only Shedletsekkar

Roblox's newsroom called the event rewards "limited-release" items, and that phrase describes the window you could earn them in. Reselling depends on whether Roblox minted a fixed quantity of the item and switched resale on.

We checked Roblox's own item details for 16 of the birthday drops on October 19, 2026. Each one comes back with a total quantity of zero, no Limited flag, and no resale price. Shedletsekkar comes back with a quantity of 20 and the Limited flag set. That single difference decides whether a copy can ever move between players.

Roblox's marketplace documentation sets out what reselling needs. The original creator has to enable it, the seller needs an active Roblox Plus subscription (the paid subscription that unlocks trading, reselling and Marketplace publishing), and the docs state there is a holding period of up to 30 days after you buy a Limited before you can resell it. The original creator also earns a 10% commission every time their item is resold. Our guide to Roblox Limited holding periods breaks down how the wait differs by purchase type.

Shedletsekkar: the one Limited in the 20th-birthday wave

Shedletsekkar

Twenty copies, capped at one per account, 2,000,000 R$ each. Roblox's stock is gone, and the catalog shows no copy listed for resale right now, so the cheapest ask reads None listed. Its RAP still sits at exactly 2,000,000 R$. RAP, short for recent average price, is Roblox's smoothed average of everything an item has ever sold for, and it only moves when a copy actually sells. A RAP that matches the launch price to the Robux means the 20 owners have been sitting still.

That makes it the most expensive launch in our records and one of the thinnest supplies in the classic market, which is covered in full in our breakdown of Shedletsekkar, the 2,000,000 Robux Limited. You can see where it lands against the rest of the top of the market on the most expensive Limiteds collection.

Is the Birthday Time Fedora the same as a Sparkle Time Fedora? No, and the gap is enormous

Birthday Time Fedora

The Birthday Time Fedora borrows the look of Roblox's most famous hat line and sold for 50,000 R$ with unlimited stock. The 2007 Sparkle Time Fedora has 765 copies in existence, a RAP of 3,182,904 R$, and a cheapest listing asking 3,540,000 R$. Those copies change hands because supply is fixed; the birthday version has no supply cap, so it has no resale market at all.

If you bought one because you like how it looks on your avatar, you got what you paid for. If you bought one expecting to flip it, there is no route to do that today. The full story of the family it borrows from is in our Roblox fedora family history, and live prices for the whole line sit on the fedoras collection.

Which classics did the birthday items copy?

Roblox leaned hard on its own back catalog for this wave. Each row below pairs a birthday item with the older line its name or price points at.

Birthday item What it points back to
Birthday Time Fedora The Sparkle Time line, running since 2007
Candles of Pwnage The "of Pwnage" items, priced at the same 13,337 R$
The Twentieth Teapot Roblox's teapot in-joke, going back to 2007
The Rest of the Cake A birthday cake hat, with a 2010 nod in the description
Opal King of the Night The Crowns of the Night, first sold in 2016
Telamon's Other Crafting Jewel Telamon's Crafting Jewel from 2010

The price tag on the Candles of Pwnage is the sharpest joke of the bunch. Roblox charged 13,337 R$ for it, the exact figure it charged for the Black Iron Bucket of Ultimate Pwnage back in 2013. That bucket now has 748 copies, a RAP of 421,343 R$ and a cheapest ask of 566,666 R$.

The crowns show what a capped supply does over time. The Black Iron King of the Night has 201 copies, a RAP of 2,222,951 R$ and a cheapest listing asking 14,999,999 R$. Its RAP sits below the Sparkle Time Fedora's while trader consensus rates the crown higher, because a 201-copy item with asks seven times its RAP barely trades, and RAP goes stale when nothing sells. The 2016 line and its copy counts are laid out in our Crowns of the Night series history, with live asks on the crowns collection.

Telamon's Crafting Jewel from 2010 runs the other way. It has 2,622 copies and a RAP of 58,831 R$, and its cheapest listing asks 29,998 R$, well under that RAP. An ask below RAP usually means older, pricier sales are still propping the average up while sellers compete at the current level.

Could the 20th-birthday items become Limiteds later?

Roblox has converted ordinary offsale items into classic Limiteds before, which freezes supply at the number of copies already sold and opens resale on them. It does this on its own schedule with no announcement, as we explain in how offsale Roblox items go Limited. Nothing Roblox has published points at the birthday items getting that treatment.

So the honest way to hold one is as a hat you wanted. Paying a premium today on the chance of a future conversion means betting on a decision Roblox has not signalled, with your Robux locked up in something that cannot be sold meanwhile. None of this is financial advice, and Robux spent on cosmetics is spent.

Roblox still mints real classic Limiteds, just rarely, which is the subject of our look at whether Roblox still makes classic Limiteds. The 20th-birthday wave fits that picture: one capped drop, dozens of uncapped ones.

How can you tell if a Roblox item is a Limited before you buy it?

Check for a copy count. A classic Limited lists how many copies exist and shows a resale list of owners selling theirs. An item with unlimited stock shows a price and a buy button while it is on sale, and nothing afterwards.

On RBX Invest, every item page carries the copy count, the RAP and the current reseller ladder, so one look tells you whether a resale market exists. You can browse the capped Roblox-made hats on the classic hats collection, see what sits at the top of the market on the items leaderboard, and watch for underpriced listings in the Deals feed, which needs a signed-in account.

Figures in this article come from RBX Invest catalog data and Roblox's own item details as of October 19, 2026, from Roblox's marketplace documentation on fees, commissions and reselling, and from Roblox's newsroom announcement of The Hunt: Roblox 20.

FAQ

Can you resell Roblox's 20th birthday items?

Only Shedletsekkar. It is the single September 2026 Roblox drop with a capped supply, at 20 copies. The other birthday items, paid or free, come back from Roblox's item data with a quantity of zero and no resale price, so there is no legitimate way to sell one to another player.

Was anything from The Hunt: Roblox 20 a Limited?

No. Roblox described the event rewards as limited-release, meaning you could only earn them during the event, which ran from September 17 to 28, 2026. None of the quest items carry a copy count or a resale market, so they stay with the accounts that earned them.

What is Shedletsekkar worth now?

Its RAP reads 2,000,000 R$, the same as its launch price, and no owner has a copy listed for resale. With 20 copies total and nothing on the market, there is no live asking price to quote, and any valuation above RAP is guesswork until a copy sells.

Can you trade the Birthday Time Fedora?

No. Roblox's trade system only handles classic Limiteds, which are Roblox-made items with a fixed number of copies, and the Birthday Time Fedora was sold with unlimited stock. It cannot be traded or resold, whatever you paid for it.

How much did the Birthday Time Fedora cost?

50,000 Robux while it was on sale from September 8, 2026. For comparison, the 2007 Sparkle Time Fedora it borrows its look from has 765 copies and a cheapest resale listing of 3,540,000 R$.

Could Roblox turn these birthday items into Limiteds later?

It is possible and it has happened to other offsale items, but Roblox gives no schedule, no criteria and no warning. Treat it as unpredictable, and do not pay extra for an item on that basis.

How long do you have to wait before reselling a Limited you bought?

Roblox's marketplace documentation states there is a holding period of up to 30 days after you buy a Limited before the copy can be resold. The exact wait depends on how you got it, which our Limited holding periods guide covers in detail.

Where can you see which Roblox items are Limiteds?

Any item page that shows a copy count and a reseller list is a Limited. On RBX Invest the classic hats collection lists the Roblox-made capped items with live RAP and asks, and the items leaderboard ranks the market from the top down.
