Roblox Cape Limiteds: Every Classic Cape Ranked

Roblox cape Limiteds: 11 classic capes and cloaks exist. The Caveman Cloak leads at 70,011 Robux RAP on 366 copies. See every one ranked with live asks.

Roblox has eleven classic cape and cloak Limiteds, and the Caveman Cloak is the most valuable of them at a RAP of 70,011 Robux across 366 copies. A Limited is an avatar item made in a fixed number of copies that players resell to each other, and RAP (Recent Average Price) is Roblox's smoothed average of every sale an item has ever had. Capes arrived late in Roblox's history, so the classic cape line is small and cheap next to the hats traders obsess over. The real cape market today is community-made: our catalog tracks 103 classic back-accessory Limiteds against 26,227 community-made ones.

Quick answer: Eleven Roblox classic Limiteds have cape, cloak or mantle in the name. The Caveman Cloak leads on RAP at 70,011 R$ with 366 copies, and the cheapest one listed right now asks 30,000 R$. Every other classic cape sits under 16,000 R$.

What counts as a cape Limited on Roblox? Three different slots

A cape Limited is any Limited that hangs fabric off your avatar's back or shoulders. Roblox files them under three different accessory types, and the slot an item uses tells you roughly when it was made.

The oldest ones are hats. Before Roblox had a back accessory slot, anything cape-shaped had to be published as a hat, which is why the 2010 Cloaked Assassin and the 2014 Golden Cloak Of Heroic Adventures both sit in the Hat category in our catalog. The oldest cape Limited published into the proper back slot is the Orinthian Cape from September 2014. A few, like the Ermine Cloak, are shoulder accessories, so they sit high and short on the shoulders.

None of that changes how they trade. Every one of them is a classic Limited, which means Roblox made it, it can be traded as well as resold, and a resale carries a 30% marketplace fee that leaves the seller 70% of the sale price. Two terms worth having straight before the table: copies is the total number ever minted, and the resale floor is the cheapest copy anybody has listed for sale right now.

Which Roblox cape Limited is worth the most? The Caveman Cloak at 70,011 R$

Caveman Cloak

The Caveman Cloak went on sale in March 2017 at 500 Robux and stopped at 366 copies, which makes it the scarcest classic cape by a wide margin. Roblox's catalog description is a joke about the stone age being past vintage. Nothing about the item was promoted as a prestige piece at the time, and it sold out small anyway.

That scarcity is the whole reason it prices where it does. Its RAP is 70,011 R$, but the cheapest copy listed asks 30,000 R$, well under half the RAP. That gap happens on thin markets: RAP moves only one tenth of the way toward each new sale price, so a handful of old high sales keep the average elevated long after sellers have come down. On an item with 366 copies and a slow trickle of sales, the live ask is the number to trust, and 30,000 R$ is what the market is actually asking today.

Anyone buying at the floor should check the full ladder of listings first, meaning the queue of copies for sale, cheapest first. The deal feed flags Limiteds listed under RAP, which is exactly the shape this item is in, and it needs a signed-in account to use.

Cloaked Assassin Hat Apr 2010 15,570 994 R$ 950 R$

Four of these have stories attached that are worth knowing before you buy one.

The Cape of Inspiration was never sold. Roblox's catalog copy on it says plainly that it was an award presented to developers for taking part in the company's developer relations challenges, which is why only 646 exist and why none of them cost anybody Robux. Awarded items like this tend to hold their price better than purchased items of the same supply, because the people who earned them have a reason to keep them.

The Golden Cloak Of Heroic Adventures came out of a container. Its description says it came out of the Golden Basket of Heroic Adventures in April 2014, which puts it in the same family as Roblox's other mystery box and basket items. Supply landed at 2,307.

The Overseer Hooded Cloak belongs to the broader Overseer line, a 2015 set with a spooky one-line description and a steady collector following. At 2,502 copies and a 6,767 R$ floor it is the most affordable way into that family's look.

The two Gucci cloaks came from Roblox's February 2022 collaboration with the fashion house, covered in our piece on Gucci's Roblox items. Both launched at 900 R$ and both now trade around 2,700 to 3,100 R$, a roughly 3x move since February 2022 that looks good until you remember the 30% fee on the way out.

Why are classic capes so much cheaper than classic hats?

Supply, mostly. Ten of the eleven have more than 600 copies, and seven have more than 2,000. Compare that with the classic items collectors actually chase, where the gem tier runs on supply counts in the double digits. A gem is a scarce, high-value Limited, and only the Caveman Cloak comes close to qualifying here.

Timing is the second reason. Roblox's trading culture formed in the 2008 to 2013 window around hats, and the back accessory slot did not exist for most of that period. The items that carry prestige in trades were minted before capes were an option, so no cape ever became a status piece the way a fedora or a dominus hood did. You can see the same pattern across the category on the classic back accessories collection and in our breakdown of back accessory Limiteds.

The exception in the back slot is wings, which did produce real collector items. That line has its own wings history with prices an order of magnitude above anything here.

Do UGC capes sell for more than classic capes?

Dark Range's Cape

On RAP, no. The best UGC cape in our catalog trades at 43,956 R$, under the Caveman Cloak. On asking prices, the picture flips hard: UGC cape sellers want far more than their RAPs, while classic cape sellers ask near or below them.

A UGC Limited is a Limited that a community creator made and published. They cannot be traded at all, so the only way one changes hands is a marketplace resale. Roblox's marketplace documentation splits a UGC resale 50% to the reseller, 10% to the original creator, 10% to the seller or affiliate and 30% to Roblox, which means a UGC reseller nets half the sale price and needs to sell at 2x their cost just to break even.

Here are the eight highest-RAP UGC capes with at least 10 copies, from our catalog on 7 October 2026.

Item Creator Copies Launch price RAP Lowest ask
Dark Range's Cape Yourius 50 3,000 R$ 43,956 R$ 79,999 R$
Elite Genesis Cape Empyror 20 5,500 R$ 16,685 R$ 49,994 R$
Range's Cape Yourius 100 500 R$ 13,732 R$ 9,995 R$
Intergalactic Cape of Galaxies Junozy+ 25 1,000 R$ 13,518 R$ 40,000 R$
Opal Ascended Champion's Cape Wospooki 40 Not recorded 12,319 R$ 25,450 R$
Golden IPS Clan Cape celisnix 100 250 R$ 10,251 R$ 39,888 R$
TYP Gold Cape Gold_Octopus 100 500 R$ 10,219 R$ 69,000 R$
Royal Cape Of Cookies CookieCutter 55 10,000 R$ 10,000 R$ None listed

Read the last two columns together and you can see how thin these markets are. The TYP Gold Cape has a RAP of 10,219 R$ and a lowest ask of 69,000 R$, about 6.8 times it. The Golden IPS Clan Cape asks 39,888 R$ against a 10,251 R$ RAP. With 100 copies spread across owners who are in no hurry, one optimistic holder sets the only visible price, and nobody has to meet it.

Range's Cape is the one piece of genuine lore in the group. Its description says it is a remaster of a cape originally created by RangeMeludE years earlier, rebuilt by the same creator for the UGC era, and the darker version followed eight days later at six times the price. Both sold out. The lighter one launched at 500 R$ and now shows a 13,732 R$ RAP, which is the strongest multiple in the table.

The Royal Cape Of Cookies shows the other end of that market. It launched in April 2023 at 10,000 R$ with 55 copies, and Roblox still reports 50 of them unsold at creator price with no resale listing anywhere. Three and a half years of availability and almost nothing moved. Plenty of UGC Limiteds sit in that state, listed on the UGC Limiteds still in stock collection, and a high launch price is the usual reason.

What the break-even math looks like on a UGC cape

Take Range's Cape at its 500 R$ launch price. A reseller who bought one at launch keeps 50% of whatever it sells for, so the first 1,000 R$ of sale price only gets them back to even. Sell at the current 9,995 R$ ask and they net about 4,997 R$, a profit near 4,500 R$ on a 500 R$ buy.

Now take Dark Range's Cape at 3,000 R$. Break-even is 6,000 R$. The 79,999 R$ ask would net about 40,000 R$ if anyone paid it, and that "if" is doing all the work, because the RAP says real sales have been happening closer to 44,000 R$. Price your own copy off the ladder of live listings. The reseller tools show where your copy sits in that ladder.

What to watch if you collect Roblox capes

Three things decide whether a cape is worth your Robux.

Supply under 500 copies is the only place classic capes have ever held value, and exactly one of them qualifies. Everything else in the classic list is a cosmetic buy at a cosmetic price, which is fine if you want the look and poor if you want the Robux back.

Award items beat sale items at equal supply. The Cape of Inspiration has 646 copies and a 14,900 R$ floor, double the floor of the Golden Cloak Of Heroic Adventures, which has three and a half times its supply, because the people holding it earned it and mostly will not sell.

On the UGC side, treat the top ask as noise and the RAP as the anchor, then widen that gap in your head for items with under 50 copies. The items leaderboard and the UGC back accessories collection let you sort the category by RAP, supply and growth before you commit.

None of this is financial advice. Limiteds are virtual collectibles, their prices move on fashion and attention, and a thin market can leave you holding an item nobody bids on for months.

FAQ

What is the most expensive Roblox cape Limited?

The Caveman Cloak is the most valuable classic cape Limited, with a RAP of 70,011 Robux across 366 copies as of October 2026. Its cheapest live listing is 30,000 Robux. Among UGC capes, Dark Range's Cape holds the highest RAP at 43,956 Robux on 50 copies.

How many classic cape Limiteds does Roblox have?

Eleven. Our catalog holds eleven Roblox-made Limiteds with cape, cloak or mantle in the name, released between April 2010 and February 2022. Every one of them had at least one copy listed for resale in early October 2026.

Can you trade Roblox capes?

Classic capes can be traded. Roblox's Trade system covers Roblox-made Limiteds, and both accounts need an active Roblox Plus subscription for a trade to go through. UGC capes cannot be traded at all. A UGC Limited only changes hands through a marketplace resale, so the eight UGC capes in this article are resale-only items.

Why is the Caveman Cloak's asking price lower than its RAP?

Because RAP lags on slow markets. Each sale moves RAP only one tenth of the way toward that sale price, so old high sales keep the average up for a long time after sellers have cut their prices. With 366 copies and few sales, the Caveman Cloak's 30,000 R$ ask reflects today's market better than its 70,011 R$ RAP.

How much do you keep when you sell a cape Limited?

On a classic cape you keep 70% after Roblox's 30% marketplace fee, so a 30,000 R$ sale returns 21,000 R$. On a UGC cape you keep 50%, because Roblox's marketplace documentation splits a UGC resale 50% reseller, 10% creator, 10% seller or affiliate and 30% Roblox. That makes 2x your purchase price the break-even on any UGC cape.

Are UGC capes a good investment?

Some are, most are not. Range's Cape went from a 500 Robux launch to a 13,732 Robux RAP, while the Royal Cape Of Cookies launched at 10,000 Robux in April 2023 and still has 50 of its 55 copies unsold at creator price. Low launch prices and small supply are what separate the two.

Do capes count as back accessories on Roblox?

Most do. Roblox files capes across three accessory types: back accessories for items like the Orinthian Cape, shoulder accessories for drapes like the Ermine Cloak, and the old hat category for anything cape-shaped made before the back slot existed, such as the 2010 Cloaked Assassin.

Where can I see live cape prices?

Sort the back-accessory collections on RBX Invest. The UGC back accessories collection and the classic back accessories collection both rank the category by RAP, supply and live lowest ask, and each item's own page carries its full reseller ladder.
