Are Gold Roblox Limiteds Worth More?

Do gold Roblox Limiteds cost more? Only when copies are thin. See live RAP, copies and asks for 12 gold classics from 2008 to 2018.

Gold Roblox Limiteds are not automatically worth more than other colors. The RBX Invest catalog tracks 71 gold-named classic Limiteds, meaning the ones Roblox made itself, and only 12 of them carry a RAP above 100,000 Robux. A Limited is an item Roblox has stopped selling, so its copy count is frozen and players resell and trade the copies that exist. RAP (Recent Average Price) is Roblox's smoothed average of everything an item has ever sold for. The gold items that cost a fortune do so because very few copies exist, and the clearest proof sits in the King of the Night set, where Roblox released four metal versions on the same day in June 2016 and the Black Iron one now trades far above the gold.

Quick answer: Gold is a label Roblox reused across a decade of classic Limiteds, and copy count sets the price inside every gold set. The Golden Robloxian leads the family with 47 copies and a 1,904,351 R$ RAP, while the most common gold hat in the family spreads 6,073 copies across a 16,718 R$ RAP.

Which gold Roblox Limiteds are worth the most? The Golden Robloxian leads

The table below ranks the top gold classics by what traders actually pay, because RAP lags badly on items this thin. Where that order and the RAP order disagree, the gap is called out below. "Lowest ask" is the cheapest copy anyone currently has listed for sale.

Item Released Copies RAP Lowest ask
The Golden Robloxian Jul 7, 2008 47 1,904,351 R$ 27,715,000 R$
): Gold Ollie Feb 19, 2010 77 354,081 R$ 10,000,000 R$

Gold Spartan Sep 29, 2011 23 114,684 R$ None listed
GoldLika: STAR Sep 1, 2016 60 293,993 R$ 1,624,993 R$
GoldLika: Troll Apr 15, 2016 61 329,731 R$ 1,239,000 R$
Goldlika: Hero Nov 25, 2015 93 98,795 R$ 1,800,000 R$

Prince of the Gilded Feather Sep 21, 2011 244 132,779 R$ 264,500 R$

Ten of the 71 gold classics have 100 copies or fewer, and nine of those ten sit in the table above. The tenth is Goldlika: Genius, a single copy that has never recorded a sale. Everything else in the gold family is common. You can see the whole set ranked live on the gold Limiteds collection page.

Five of those twelve rows belong to one series, the Goldlika neck accessories Roblox sold between 2015 and 2016 at launch prices of 15,000 to 25,000 Robux. They get their own breakdown in the Goldlika series history.

Does the gold version cost more than the other colors? Not in the King of the Night set

Roblox put four metal versions of the King of the Night crown on sale the same day, June 23, 2016, at four different prices. The copy counts came out wildly different, and a decade later those copy counts predict the prices.

Item Launch price Copies RAP Lowest ask
Black Iron King of the Night 1,000 R$ 201 2,222,951 R$ 14,999,999 R$
Silver King of the Night 45 R$ 10,028 394,176 R$ 420,000 R$
Gold King of the Night 500 R$ 1,004 391,043 R$ 415,000 R$
Adurite King of the Night 100 R$ 2,005 312,465 R$ 299,999 R$

Black Iron cost twice as much as gold at launch and ended up with 201 copies against 1,004. It now carries more than five times the gold version's RAP. The silver version is the stranger result: it holds ten times as many copies as gold and still matches it on price. That whole family is covered in the Crowns of the Night series history.

The same pattern shows up elsewhere. The Crown of Warlords from 2008 has 1,056 copies and a 95,340 R$ RAP, while the Golden Crown of Warlords from 2018 has only 300 copies and a slightly lower 84,143 R$ RAP. Age and reputation carried the plain version past its gold descendant.

Why RAP understates thin gold Limiteds

): Gold Ollie

Look at Gold Ollie. Its RAP reads 354,081 R$, which would put it sixth in the gold family. Traders rank it second. The cheapest copy listed sits at 10,000,000 R$.

The math behind that gap is simple. RAP moves by one tenth of the distance between the old RAP and each new sale price, so a single sale barely shifts it. On a hat with 77 copies that might go months without trading, the number you see can describe a market that stopped existing years ago. Gold Spartan shows it even harder: 23 copies, a 114,684 R$ RAP, and a place near the top of the family once you rank by what traders pay. It is a Limited U, meaning every copy carries its own serial number, and nobody currently has one listed at all.

Goldlika: Hero runs the same way. It has the lowest RAP of the five Goldlikas in the table above at 98,795 R$, yet its cheapest listed copy asks 1,800,000 R$, and traders place it above one of the four Goldlikas that carry a higher RAP. When you are looking at any gold item with under about 100 copies, treat RAP as the floor of a wide range. Our guide to what RAP actually measures goes through the formula in full.

What the gold label actually signals

The Golden Robloxian

Roblox used gold for three different jobs over the years, and knowing which one you are holding tells you more than the color does.

Award items. The Golden Robloxian, released July 7, 2008, was never sold. Its catalog description reads "Awarded for outstanding achievement in the field of ROBLOX machinima." The Gold ROBLOX Music Video Award from March 2009 worked the same way, and its description claims "Only 38 exist" even though the catalog now counts 52 copies. These are the gold items with real scarcity, and they are the gems of the family, meaning scarce Limiteds that sit at the top of the price range.

Prize and gift items. Golden Antlers came out of the Golden Gift of the Epic Modeler on December 19, 2014, according to its own catalog description. Supply depended on how many people opened the gift, which is how it landed on an uneven 544 copies. The antlers family history tracks the rest of that line.

Expensive launches. Gold Spartan went on sale September 29, 2011 at 10,000 Robux, and Goldlika: Patriot at 25,000 Robux in 2016. High launch prices kept casual buyers away, so these ended up with 23 and 21 copies. The price did the filtering that a copy limit usually does.

The gold label on a cheap hat does none of that work. Golden Top Hat of Bling Bling has 6,073 copies, and no amount of gold in the name changes what that supply means.

Which gold Limiteds can you actually afford? The common hats under 60,000 R$

Most of the gold family is reachable. These four all have hundreds or thousands of copies, so they trade regularly and their RAP is reasonably honest.

Item Released Copies RAP Lowest ask
Golden Teapot of Pwnage Apr 1, 2008 1,439 45,842 R$ 57,999 R$
Gold 8-Bit Headphones Mar 17, 2016 989 42,585 R$ 41,999 R$
Golden Headphones Jun 17, 2010 683 29,979 R$ 35,000 R$
Golden Top Hat of Bling Bling Dec 24, 2008 6,073 16,718 R$ 19,999 R$

Notice the Gold 8-Bit Headphones row: the lowest ask of 41,999 R$ sits slightly below the 42,585 R$ RAP. On items with roughly a thousand copies, asks and RAP track each other closely, which is what makes them easier to value than the thin stuff at the top. Golden Shiny Teeth sits in a middle band with 1,152 copies, a 69,796 R$ RAP and an 85,000 R$ ask.

How to buy a gold Limited without overpaying

Price the copies. Before you buy anything from this family, check the copy count and how many copies are currently listed, both of which sit on an item's page, such as The Golden Robloxian's page. A gold hat with 5,000 copies competes with every other common hat in its price band, and the word gold in the title adds nothing to that.

For the thin ones, a single lowest ask tells you very little. Gold Spartan and Goldlika: Patriot have no copies listed at all right now, which means the only way to get one is a trade or a private deal, and the person holding it knows exactly what it is. Watch those for weeks before you commit, and use the Deals feed to catch listings when they appear. Roblox's own marketplace documentation confirms that only Roblox-created Limiteds are tradeable, so every item on this page can move through the trade system, and both sides of a trade need an active Roblox Plus subscription.

Resale fees take a real bite out of any flip, so a gold item has to move a long way before you clear anything. The marketplace fees breakdown covers what comes off each sale. None of this is financial advice, and Limited prices can fall as easily as they rise.

If you like the metal-and-mineral corner of the catalog, the gemstone Limiteds guide covers the emerald and ruby recolors, and why recolors split in price explains the mechanic behind sets like the King of the Night. FAQ

Are gold Roblox Limiteds worth more than other colors?

No, gold carries no automatic premium. In the King of the Night set, released on a single day in June 2016, the Black Iron version has a 2,222,951 R$ RAP against 391,043 R$ for the gold version, because Black Iron ended up with 201 copies and gold with 1,004. Copy count sets the price inside a color set.

What is the most valuable gold Roblox Limited?

The Golden Robloxian, released July 7, 2008 with 47 copies, holds the highest RAP in the gold family at 1,904,351 R$, and its cheapest listed copy asks 27,715,000 R$. It was an award for Roblox machinima, and Roblox never put it on sale.

How many gold classic Limiteds exist?

The RBX Invest catalog tracks 71 classic Limiteds with gold, golden or gilded in the name. Twelve of them have a RAP above 100,000 Robux, and ten have 100 copies or fewer.

Why does Gold Ollie have a low RAP but a huge asking price?

Because RAP updates slowly and Gold Ollie rarely trades. RAP moves only one tenth of the way toward each new sale price, so with 77 copies in existence the 354,081 R$ figure can sit stale for months while the cheapest listed copy asks 10,000,000 R$. Traders price it near the top of the gold family.

What was the Golden Antlers and how did people get it?

Golden Antlers came out of the Golden Gift of the Epic Modeler on December 19, 2014, according to the item's own catalog description. Because supply depended on how many players opened that gift, it ended up with 544 copies and a RAP of 418,671 R$.

Can you trade gold Limiteds on Roblox?

Yes. Every gold Limited in this article was created by Roblox, and Roblox's marketplace documentation states that only Roblox-created Limiteds are tradeable. Both accounts in a trade need an active Roblox Plus subscription, which is also what lets you resell a Limited.

Why do Gold Spartan and Goldlika: Patriot show no price?

Because nobody has a copy listed for sale. Both are extremely thin, at 23 and 21 copies, and Roblox returns no lowest resale price for either one. Getting one means waiting for a listing or arranging a trade with a current holder.

Are cheap gold Limiteds worth buying?

They are easier to value than the expensive ones, which is their main advantage. Items like the Gold 8-Bit Headphones have around a thousand copies, trade often enough that RAP stays current, and show asks within a few percent of RAP. They behave like any other common classic hat in the same price band, so judge them on demand and on how well the design has aged.
