Gemstone Roblox Limiteds: Do Emerald and Ruby Cost More?

Gemstone Roblox Limiteds cost more when copies are low: the Emerald Valkyrie has 51 copies, while gem-named items with 30,000 copies sell under 1,000 R$.

Roblox put gemstone names on the flagship item of its big sale events, and those flagships shipped with tiny stock. That is why a gem name and a high price usually travel together. The Emerald Valkyrie is the clearest case: 51 copies in the RBX Invest catalog and a RAP of 4,336,949 R$. RAP means Recent Average Price, Roblox's smoothed average of everything an item has ever sold for. A Limited is an item Roblox stopped selling, so the only way to own one now is to buy a copy from somebody who has it. The copy count is what carries that price. Roblox also stuck gemstone names on items with more than 30,000 copies and a RAP under 500 R$.

Quick answer: A gemstone name marks an item Roblox released as a sale-event flagship, and those releases had very low stock. Read the copy count before you price one, because the same gem names show up on items with tens of thousands of copies worth a few hundred Robux.

Are emerald and ruby Roblox Limiteds rare? Only the low-copy ones

Two different things share a word here, so it is worth separating them before anything else.

On RBX Invest a gem means a scarce, high-value Limited. It describes a price tier. A gemstone name is just words in an item's title, and Roblox handed those words out freely. Plenty of items are both. Plenty are only one.

The honest version of the pattern: when Roblox built a set of recolors, it usually saved the gemstone words for the version it gave the smallest stock and the highest launch price. Roblox did that for years, across hats, gear, faces and neck accessories. So a gem name became a decent hint about rarity, by habit instead of by rule.

A copy count is the number of copies that exist. You will see it on every item page on this site. It is the first thing to look at, because two items with the same gemstone in their names can sit three thousand times apart in price.

Which gemstone-named Roblox Limiteds are worth the most?

Ordered by trader consensus on street value, which is what people actually pay for a copy. Figures below come from the RBX Invest catalog as of October 2026. The lowest ask is the cheapest copy currently listed for sale.

Emerald Valkyrie

Every item on that list has fewer than 200 copies. That is the whole secret. You can browse the same cut of the market on the most expensive Limiteds collection and the rarest Limiteds collection.

Notice how far the RAP column drifts from the order. Pink Diamond Distraction carries the second-highest RAP in the table and traders rank it third. Emerald Entropy has the lowest RAP of the four CW Ultimates listed and traders rank it fifth, above Amethyst Addiction with four times the RAP. That happens because RAP is a smoothed average over an item's whole sale history, so on an item with 98 copies it can go months without a single new sale to update it. The last few trades keep steering a number that nobody has refreshed. Our guide to how RAP actually works walks through the formula.

The lowest-ask column tells you something too. Ruby Rapture's cheapest listing reads 6,969,696,969 R$, which is a holder parking a joke number on a copy they have no intention of selling. Owners of thin items do this constantly, and it is why a listing price on a 100-copy hat is close to useless as a valuation. We wrote about the Limiteds listed for billions separately.

Why do gemstone names cluster at the top of the market?

Because Roblox used them to signal the expensive tier of a sale, and sale drops had hard stock caps.

Run through the launch history of the top of that table and the same handful of events keep appearing. The Roblox Wiki documents the Emerald Valkyrie as a Presidents' Day 2019 sale release at 45,000 R$ on a twelve-hour timer, the ninth Valkyrie variant. Garnet Gratitude went out for Black Friday 2018 at 20,000 R$. The Onyx Immortal Sword is filed under the same Black Friday 2018 sale. Ruby Rapture launched at 30,000 R$ on a one-hour timer and turned Limited during the Labor Day 2018 sale, while Amethyst Addiction turned Limited at Presidents' Day 2015 and Emerald Entropy at Presidents' Day 2016.

Those timers are the mechanism. A one-hour window at 30,000 R$ in 2016 produced about a hundred copies, and a hundred copies is a market where one determined buyer moves the price. If you want the fuller picture of how those drops worked, read how Roblox sale events shaped Limited supply. For the Ultimates line in particular, the Clockwork Ultimates series history and the Clockwork collection go deeper than this piece does.

A couple of the gem names took a strange route to Limited status.

Mystic Ruby

Mystic Ruby sold in July 2016 on a three-hour timer at 5,000 R$. The Roblox Wiki records 74 purchases in that window, and our catalog now counts 73 copies. The item then went off sale and sat there for six years with no way to buy or sell a copy, and it only picked up the Limited tag in August 2022, which is when it became resellable at all. The three Shinestone Eyes face accessories from the Black Friday 2016 sale did the same thing, reaching Limited status in autumn 2022 at copy counts of 841, 2,143 and 2,642. An item going offsale and later turning Limited is a real mechanic with real price consequences, and we cover it in offsale Roblox items going Limited.

Pink Diamond Distraction came out of a gift box. The Roblox Wiki has it published in October 2015 and then released from the Musical Gift of Pink Diamonds in February 2016, a mechanic we unpack in the history of Roblox mystery gift boxes.

What is a tiered gem drop, and what did it do to prices?

Roblox would sometimes publish one accessory in several gem colors on the same day, each color at a different price and a different stock level. The cheap color got tens of thousands of copies. The expensive color got a thousand or fewer. Years later the price spread follows that stock split almost exactly.

Grouped by drop and ordered by copy count. The Emperor Of The Sky hats all went out on the same June 2018 day, and the Archfey Visage faces all belonged to the Presidents' Day 2019 sale.

Item Drop Copies Launch price RAP Lowest ask
Onyx Emperor Of The Sky Crown Midnight Sale 2018 1,000 500 R$ 5,930 R$ 7,699 R$
Amethyst Emperor Of The Sky Midnight Sale 2018 1,500 250 R$ 3,150 R$ 3,500 R$
Amber Emperor Of The Sky Midnight Sale 2018 2,001 100 R$ 2,598 R$ 2,698 R$
Aqua Emperor Of The Sky Midnight Sale 2018 10,006 45 R$ 1,016 R$ 950 R$
Emerald Archfey Visage Presidents' Day 2019 250 100 R$ 66,761 R$ 60,000 R$
Sapphire Archfey Visage Presidents' Day 2019 1,005 1,000 R$ 10,277 R$ 9,994 R$
Ruby Archfey Visage Presidents' Day 2019 11,049 50 R$ 1,553 R$ 1,550 R$

Onyx Emperor Of The Sky Crown

The Emperor Of The Sky ladder is tidy. Ten times the copies, roughly a sixth of the price. The Archfey set is steeper: the Emerald version has 250 copies against the Ruby version's 11,049, and its RAP runs about 43 times higher. The launch prices even argue against the outcome, since Sapphire cost 1,000 R$ at release and Emerald cost 100 R$, and Emerald is now worth six times the Sapphire. Stock won.

The Archfey faces come with a caveat worth knowing. All three were classic 2D faces, and Roblox replaced classic face Limiteds with animated versions during the migration that finished in March 2026. Serial numbers, the numbered slot each copy gets like 12 of 100, carried over along with resale rights, but face values have slid hard since, which we documented in the decline in Roblox face Limited values. Treat face RAPs from before 2026 as history.

Do gemstone names guarantee value? Five that say no

Here are five gemstone-named Limiteds with four to five figure copy counts. Ordered by copy count.

Item Copies RAP Lowest ask
Gucci Diamond-Framed Sunglasses 80,523 484 R$ 484 R$
Ruby Serpent Mummy Mask 32,671 845 R$ 889 R$
Ruby Filigree Fabergé Egg 28,024 414 R$ 470 R$
Diamond Crystal Circlet 13,436 3,655 R$ 3,698 R$
Emerald Eye 5,662 7,658 R$ 8,901 R$

Ruby Serpent Mummy Mask

The Diamond Crystal Circlet is the one to stare at. It shares a model and a 875 R$ launch price with the Emerald Crystal Circlet from the first table, and the Roblox Wiki documents it as a Black Friday 2019 release on a three-day timer. That three-day window left 13,436 copies in existence. The Emerald version from 2012 has 146. Their RAPs sit at 3,655 R$ and 209,821 R$, a gap of roughly 57 times on two hats that look like siblings. The Crystal Circlet series history tells the rest of that story, and the recolor pricing guide explains the general case.

The Ruby Serpent Mummy Mask is a different flavor of cheap. The Roblox Wiki records it as a prize from the 2009 Halloween Treasure Hunt, so it was handed out at no cost to anybody who played, and it is still hovering near 850 R$ seventeen years later. Free distribution and a gemstone name happily coexist.

How should you use a gemstone name when you shop?

Treat the name as a reason to open the item page, and nothing more than that.

Three checks, in this order:

  1. Copies. Under about 200 and you are in gem-tier territory where the price is set by a handful of owners. Over a few thousand and you are buying a commodity. The Limiteds under 100 copies collection is a fast way to see where the real cutoff sits.
  2. Where the consensus price sits against RAP. On thin items RAP lags badly, so an item with a modest RAP can still be a six-figure purchase. Compare the lowest ask and recent sales on the item page before you anchor on RAP.
  3. Whether anybody wants the shade. Emerald and ruby have broad appeal. Amber and aqua, going by the Emperor Of The Sky ladder, do not. A gem name with no following is just a name.

If you plan to flip one, remember the fee. A classic Limited is one Roblox made itself, and Roblox charges a 30% marketplace fee when one resells, so a seller keeps 70% of the sale price. On a copy bought at 100,000 R$, you need roughly 143,000 R$ on the way out to break even. The site's deal feed and the reseller terminal exist for exactly that math, and the collections hub groups the market by family, price band and rarity if you want to browse before you commit.

None of this is financial advice. Limited prices move on the moods of a small number of holders, and a gem name has never protected anybody from a bad entry.

Figures in this article come from the RBX Invest catalog as of October 2026, with launch dates, launch prices and sale-event context cross-checked against the community-maintained Roblox Wiki and Roblox's own Marketplace documentation for fee and resale rules.

FAQ

Are emerald Roblox Limiteds rare?

Some are and most are not. The Emerald Valkyrie has 51 copies and a RAP of 4,336,949 R$, while the Emerald Eye has 5,662 copies and a RAP of 7,658 R$. The gemstone word in the name tells you nothing on its own, so check the copy count on the item page.

Which gemstone-named Roblox Limited is worth the most?

The Emerald Valkyrie. Our catalog lists 51 copies and a RAP of 4,336,949 R$, with the cheapest copy currently asking 19,999,993 R$. It launched at 45,000 R$ during the Presidents' Day 2019 sale on a twelve-hour timer.

Why did Roblox name expensive Limiteds after gemstones?

Roblox used gem names as a tier label inside its sale events. The emerald, ruby, garnet and onyx versions of an accessory were the premium versions, released at the highest launch prices on the shortest timers, which is why they ended up with the smallest copy counts.

What is a tiered gem drop?

One accessory published in several gem colors on the same day, each color at a different price and stock level. The Emperor Of The Sky hats from the Midnight Sale 2018 ran from an Aqua version at 45 R$ with 10,006 copies to an Onyx Crown at 500 R$ with 1,000 copies, and prices today still follow that split.

Does a high RAP mean a gemstone Limited is expensive?

Not reliably on thin items. RAP is a smoothed average over an item's whole sale history, so a hat with 98 copies can carry a stale number for months. CW Ultimate: Emerald Entropy has the lowest RAP of the four CW Ultimates in our table and traders rank it above two of them.

Why are some gemstone Limiteds listed at billions of Robux?

Because owners of very thin items post placeholder prices they never expect anybody to pay. The cheapest listed copy of CW Ultimate: Ruby Rapture reads 6,969,696,969 R$. On items with around 100 copies, use recent sales and consensus pricing instead of the lowest ask.

Are the gemstone face Limiteds still worth buying?

They carry extra risk. The Archfey Visage set and Eyes of Emeraldwrath were classic 2D faces that Roblox replaced with animated versions in a migration finished in March 2026, and face values have fallen sharply since. Serials and resale rights survived the swap, but the price history from before 2026 no longer describes the market.

How much does Roblox take when I resell a classic Limited?

Roblox charges a 30% marketplace fee on a classic Limited resale, so you keep 70% of the sale price. Breaking even means selling for about 1.43 times what you paid, before you count anything you spent on fees elsewhere.
