A Halloween UGC Limited costs about 95 Robux at launch, and hardly any of them resell for enough to cover Roblox's cut. A UGC Limited is an avatar item made by a community creator and sold in a fixed number of copies, so once the creator's stock runs out, the only way to get one is to buy it off another player. RBX Invest catalog data shows 130 paid Halloween-themed UGC Limiteds launched between September 1 and October 18, 2026, and 112 of them have never recorded a sale above their launch price. Last October's standout, the Halloween Limited Helmet, sold 100 copies at 99 Robux and now carries a RAP (the smoothed average price its sales settle at) near 10,800. That was one standout in last year's class of 118 paid Halloween drops.
Quick answer: Halloween UGC Limiteds are cheap costume pieces with weak resale odds. Most now print the maximum 3,000 copies, the median paid drop this season has sold 4.7% of its stock, and the 30-day holding period (the wait Roblox makes you serve before you can resell a copy) pushes any October purchase into November.
| Launch year | Paid Halloween drops | Median stock | Median launch price | Sold out | Median RAP 梅 launch price |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2023 | 251 | 120 copies | 200 R$ | 227 | 2.05x |
| 2024 | 129 | 1,200 copies | 140 R$ | 77 | 1.05x |
| 2025 | 118 | 1,500 copies | 108 R$ | 53 | 1.00x |
| 2026 | 130 | 3,000 copies | 95 R$ | 7 | 1.00x |
Every row counts paid UGC Limiteds with Halloween-themed names launched September 1 through October 20 of that year, measured on October 20, 2026. RAP here is the recent average price Roblox publishes for each Limited. A ratio of 1.00x means the item has never traded above what the creator charged for it.
Why do most Halloween UGC Limiteds lose money on resale? You need 2x just to break even
Roblox's marketplace documentation sets the resale split on a UGC Limited at 50% to the reseller, 10% to the creator, 10% to the seller or affiliate, and 30% to Roblox. You keep half of whatever your buyer pays.
The math is simple. Buy a 100-Robux Halloween hat at launch, sell it for 200, and you get 100 back. You broke even. To make anything at all, the item has to trade above twice its launch price, every time, before fees.
Now look at last year's class. Of the 118 paid Halloween UGC Limiteds launched in the 2025 season, 30 currently show a RAP at or above twice their launch price. The median sits at exactly 1.00x, which means half of them have never recorded a sale above the creator's own asking price.
Asks run well ahead of sales. 103 of those 118 items have a live resale listing, and the median listing is 2.57x the launch price. A listing is a hope. RAP is what buyers actually paid, and on half the cohort it hasn't budged off the launch number in a year. Our guide to why a Limited's price sits above its RAP covers that gap in more detail.
Can you flip a Halloween drop before Halloween? No, the hold runs into November
Roblox's marketplace documentation says a Limited carries up to a 30-day holding period after purchase, during which you can't resell it. Our catalog's resale-eligible dates for this season's Halloween items land 30 to 36 days after launch.
| Item | Launched | Resale unlocks |
|---|---|---|
| Oct 6, 2026 | Nov 5, 2026 | |
| Oct 7, 2026 | Nov 11, 2026 | |
| Oct 11, 2026 | Nov 10, 2026 |
So the seasonal trade everybody imagines, buy the pumpkin hat cheap in early October and sell it to a last-minute shopper on the 30th, isn't available. Your copy unlocks in November, when Halloween demand has already gone. If you buy a Halloween item from another player instead of from the creator, the hold is shorter, up to 7 days, which at least keeps a resale inside the season. The full rules live in our Roblox holding periods guide and in how long to hold a UGC Limited after launch.
How many Halloween UGC Limiteds sell out? Seven of 130 so far this season
Roblox's publishing documentation caps paid Limiteds at 3,000 copies, with no maximum on free ones. Creators have taken the hint: 82 of this season's 130 paid Halloween drops printed exactly 3,000 copies, and none printed more.
Those 3,000-copy runs are moving slowly. The median drop has sold 4.7% of its stock, the average is 17.4%, and only 24 of the 130 have a resale listing at all. Seven have sold out. That fits the platform-wide slowdown we measured in how long a UGC Limited takes to sell out.
| Item | Copies | Launch price | RAP |
|---|---|---|---|
| 300 | 300 R$ | 5,703 | |
| 99 | 1,000 R$ | 1,000 | |
| 150 | 600 R$ | 917 | |
| 3,000 | 55 R$ | 587 | |
| 3,000 | 95 R$ | 95 | |
| 1,000 | 55 R$ | 55 | |
| 3,000 | 55 R$ | 55 |
Three of the seven had print runs (the number of copies the creator minted) under 1,000. Sinister UGC's placed two of them, the Bat Aura and the Retro Classic Pin, and the group's 55-Robux price point is doing a lot of the work there. Selling out at 55 Robux is a sales record, and it still leaves a reseller needing 110 Robux a copy to get their money back.
You can watch this play out live: UGC Limiteds still in stock ranks what creators are still selling, and sold-out UGC Limiteds shows the ones that have moved to a pure resale market.
Which Halloween UGC Limiteds held value last year?
These are the best resale performers from the 2025 Halloween season, ordered by RAP against launch price. Lowest ask is the cheapest copy listed right now. No street-value consensus exists for items this small, so RAP carries the ordering.
| Item | Copies | Launch price | RAP | Lowest ask | RAP 梅 launch |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 100 | 99 R$ | 10,791 | 25,000 R$ | 109x | |
| 3,000 | 100 R$ | 1,587 | 1,699 R$ | 15.9x | |
| 3,000 | 95 R$ | 1,139 | 599 R$ | 12.0x | |
| 50 | 350 R$ | 2,581 | 4,999 R$ | 7.4x | |
| 100 | 350 R$ | 2,432 | 5,999 R$ | 6.9x | |
| 1,500 | 150 R$ | 771 | 1,450 R$ | 5.1x |
Two patterns are worth stealing. First, the names: Headless, Korblox, Sparkle Time, Domino Crown. The Halloween items that got resold are the ones nodding at famous classic Limiteds, the Roblox-made items collectors already chase. Wospooki built both of the PBR pumpkin pieces on that idea and both landed near 7x.
Second, print size didn't settle it. Three of the six best performers printed 100 copies or fewer, and yet across all of 2025's paid Halloween drops, 20 of the 79 that printed 1,000 copies or more reached twice their launch price, against 4 of the 23 that printed 200 or fewer. Scarcity worked better in 2023, when 91 of that season's 168 small-print drops cleared 2x. A tiny print run with no demand behind it is just a tiny print run.
One more number worth sitting with: 5 of last year's 118 items now have a resale floor (the cheapest live listing) below what the creator charged. Buying a copy today is cheaper than buying it at launch was.
Should you buy a Halloween UGC Limited?
If you want the look for the season, buy the one you like. Most of this season's drops launched at 150 Robux or less, 89 of the 130, which puts them among the cheapest avatar items on the platform. There are hundreds to choose from across ghost-themed items and skull items.
If you want the trade, the odds are against you, and the holding period takes the obvious seasonal play off the table. Resellers who do well with seasonal drops tend to buy sold-out items from other players at a discount in November and December, after the costume crowd has lost interest, which sidesteps the 30-day launch hold. The signed-in Deals feed is built for spotting those listings, and the reseller terminal tracks what your own copies are worth as the floor moves.
Classic Halloween Limiteds, the Roblox-made items from the old event years, work on a different clock. Those have a documented habit of rising in October. The UGC side has supply at the 3,000-copy cap and new Halloween drops landing on 49 of the season's 50 days.
None of this is financial advice. Robux spent on avatar items is spent, and no price pattern from past seasons is a promise about this one.
Figures here come from RBX Invest catalog data as of October 20, 2026, with resale splits, the paid-Limited stock cap and the holding period checked the same day against Roblox's Marketplace documentation at create.roblox.com.
FAQ
Are Halloween UGC Limiteds worth buying?
For wearing, yes, since most cost under 150 Robux. For reselling, rarely. Of the 130 paid Halloween UGC Limiteds launched this season, 112 have never recorded a sale above their launch price, and a reseller needs roughly double the launch price to break even after Roblox's 50% cut.
How much does a Halloween UGC Limited cost?
The median paid Halloween UGC Limited launched in the 2026 season cost 95 Robux, with the range running from 50 to 1,000 Robux. Median launch prices have fallen each year, from 200 Robux in 2023 to 140 in 2024, 108 in 2025 and 95 this season.
Can you resell a Halloween UGC Limited right after you buy it?
No. Roblox's marketplace documentation applies a holding period of up to 30 days after you buy a Limited, and the resale-eligible dates on this season's Halloween items fall 30 to 36 days after launch. An item bought on October 7 unlocks around November 11. Copies bought from another player instead of the creator carry a shorter hold, up to 7 days.
How many copies does a Halloween UGC Limited have?
Most have 3,000, which is the maximum Roblox allows for a paid Limited. 82 of this season's 130 paid Halloween drops printed exactly 3,000 copies. Free Limiteds have no quantity maximum.
Do Halloween UGC Limiteds go up in value after Halloween?
Most don't. A year after the 2025 Halloween season, the median paid drop from that cohort has a RAP equal to its launch price, and only 30 of 118 have a RAP at or above twice their launch price. A handful did move, led by the Halloween Limited Helmet at roughly 109 times its 99-Robux launch price.
How much do you keep when you resell a UGC Limited?
Half. Roblox's marketplace documentation splits a UGC Limited resale 50% to the reseller, 10% to the item's creator, 10% to the seller or affiliate and 30% to Roblox. Reselling also requires an active Roblox Plus subscription on the seller's account, though the buyer needs no subscription.
Can you trade Halloween UGC Limiteds?
No. Roblox's player-to-player trade system handles Classic Limiteds, the Roblox-made items, and UGC Limiteds change hands only through Marketplace resales. That rules out the usual trading routes for anything in this season's catalog.
How many Halloween UGC Limiteds sold out this season?
Seven of the 130 paid drops launched between September 1 and October 18, 2026 had sold every copy as of October 20. The median drop had sold 4.7% of its stock, and only 24 of the 130 had any resale listing.
