The oldest items in Roblox's tradeable Limited catalog were published on May 30, 2007: the Red Baseball Cap and the Classic ROBLOX Viking Helm. A Limited is an item with a fixed number of copies that players buy and sell to each other, and a classic Limited is one Roblox made itself. Both of those hats sold openly for years first. Roblox capped the Viking Helm's supply in August 2010 and the Red Baseball Cap's in September 2015. The first item Roblox released as a Limited on day one came later, on October 5, 2009: the Green Bow Tie, 100 Robux with a stock of 100 copies.
Quick answer: The oldest Roblox Limiteds are the Red Baseball Cap and the Classic ROBLOX Viking Helm, both published May 30, 2007. RBX Invest tracks 53 classic Limiteds published during 2007, holding 928,746 copies between them. Roblox converted those 2007 hats into Limiteds one at a time, starting in October 2009 and continuing as recently as March 2026. The most valuable of them is the Domino Crown, on 25 copies.

| Cheapest 2007 Limited to buy | Lampshade, 674 R$ |
Two words up front. Print means the size of an item's supply, and on a classic Limited that number only shrinks over time, because copies vanish with deleted and terminated accounts and none of them come back. RAP is short for Recent Average Price, Roblox's smoothed average of an item's past sale prices, where each new sale drags the figure one tenth of the way toward whatever just printed. Prices are quoted in Robux, written R$. Our guide to what RAP means covers the formula in detail.
What is the oldest Roblox Limited? The Red Baseball Cap, published May 30, 2007
The Red Baseball Cap cost 7 Robux when Roblox published it on May 30, 2007. The Roblox Wiki records it as the first hat ever published to the catalog, and it sold for eight years before Roblox pulled it during the 2015 Labor Day sale on September 7, 2015. That flip is what made it a Limited.
Two other hats share its birthday. The Classic ROBLOX Viking Helm went Limited on August 4, 2010 and now holds 5,473 copies against a 6,010 Robux RAP. The third one stayed an ordinary catalog item: the Purple Banded Top Hat is still on sale from Roblox today, priced at 5,000 Robux on September 15, 2026, which makes it the oldest Roblox hat still sold new by Roblox itself.
Which Roblox item was the first released as a Limited? The Green Bow Tie, October 5, 2009
Roblox announced its first Limited Edition items on its blog in October 2009, and the Green Bow Tie was the one that carried the label first. It sold for 100 Robux with a stock of 100 copies on October 5, 2009. Ninety-six of those copies survive.
The day after, Roblox reached back into the 2007 catalog and flipped three old hats: the Domino Crown and The Crimson Catseye on October 6, 2009, then the Eerie Pumpkin Head on October 9. That is the pattern the whole Limited market still runs on, and our explainer on offsale items going Limited walks through how it works today.
So the answer splits two ways depending on what you mean by oldest. By the date the asset was published, the Red Baseball Cap wins. By the date an item first carried the Limited label, the Green Bow Tie wins.
Every major 2007 Roblox Limited: copies, RAP and lowest asks (September 2026)
The table runs in the order Roblox published the items. Lowest ask means the cheapest copy anyone has listed for resale right now. Published dates come from Roblox's own catalog records; the dates each item went Limited come from the Roblox Wiki.

Two of those asks are jokes. The Domino Crown at 68,686,868,686 Robux and The Kleos Aphthiton at 100,000,000,000 Robux are owners parking a number nobody will ever pay, so the copy shows as listed while staying off the market in practice. We broke that habit down in our piece on Limiteds listed for billions. The Flag's 1,500,000 Robux is a real ask, sitting about five times its RAP, which is ordinary for a hat with 145 copies and almost no sale flow.
Which 2007 Limited is worth the most? The Domino Crown, on 25 copies
By trader consensus on street value, the five most valuable items in the 2007 class run in this order: the Domino Crown, the Eerie Pumpkin Head, The Kleos Aphthiton, The Void Star and Clockwork's Headphones. All five are gems, which is our word for a scarce, high-value Limited.
The Domino Crown was never sold. Roblox awarded it as a prize in the June 2007 Domino Rally Building Contest, and the Roblox Wiki's entry on the hat counts 18 original recipients, a figure worth treating as community-documented lore. Roblox's own catalog reports a total quantity of 25 today. It is the parent of an entire family, and the Domino Crown series article covers every recolor that followed.
That consensus order does not match the RAP order, and the gaps are worth understanding. RAP puts The Void Star (3,425,870) above the Eerie Pumpkin Head (2,275,664), while traders rank the Pumpkin Head higher. The Void Star has 2,112 copies and printed three sales in the last 30 days. The Pumpkin Head has 34 copies, no listing at all right now, and no recorded sale in our recent data. When an item barely trades, its RAP freezes at whatever it last sold for, and the real price lives in private conversations between owners.
The Kleos Aphthiton is the extreme version. Roblox awarded it to the top four finishers of a 2007 tournament, it went Limited on February 19, 2017, and eleven copies exist. Its RAP reads 0, with no sale recorded against it in our data, yet traders place it among the most valuable hats on the platform. A RAP of zero on an eleven-copy hat carries no information about price.
The same thing happens a step down the ladder. RAP ranks Clockwork's Headphones above the Green Bow Tie and The Classic ROBLOX Fedora above the Flag, while consensus flips both pairs. In each case the lower-RAP item has far fewer copies: 96 against 3,669, and 145 against 10,647. Scarcity wins the argument once an item stops trading often enough to keep its RAP honest. Our guide to reading Roblox price charts shows how to spot a frozen number before you price a trade around it.
Can you still buy a 2007 Roblox Limited cheaply? Yes, several trade under 3,000 Robux
The 2007 class contains some of the cheapest classic Limiteds on the platform, because Roblox sold several of these hats to hundreds of thousands of players before capping them.
The Lampshade is the cheapest at 674 Robux, and it is also the busiest, with 697 sales in the last 30 days. It only became a Limited during a March 2026 sale, the most recent conversion among the 2007 items covered here, which is proof that Roblox still does this. The Bighead holds the biggest print of the year at 190,060 copies and asks 2,794 Robux, with 541 sales in 30 days. The Traffic Cone asks 2,849 Robux on 163,906 copies and 512 sales. The Red Baseball Cap asks 1,190 Robux with 127 sales.
Those four are the easiest 2007 Limiteds to buy and the hardest to profit on, because there is always another seller. Flipping one means clearing Roblox's marketplace fee first. A classic Limited resale pays the seller 70% of the sale price, with the remaining 30% going to Roblox, so break-even on a flip is roughly 1.43 times what you paid. Buy the Lampshade at 674 Robux and you need about 963 Robux to get your money back, well above its 633 Robux RAP. The same math on the Red Baseball Cap wants 1,700 Robux against a 1,190 ask and a 1,200 RAP. You can check current fee rules on Roblox's marketplace fees documentation.
Reselling a Limited also requires an active Roblox Plus subscription on the seller's account, which costs $4.99 a month. The buyer needs nothing. Trading requires Roblox Plus on both accounts.

Are the oldest Roblox Limiteds a good buy in 2026?
Copies set the price, and age mostly decides the story attached to it. The Red Baseball Cap is the oldest item in the catalog and asks 1,190 Robux. The Domino Crown is six days younger and sits above 5.7 million RAP. The gap between them is 118,934 copies.
Stories move classic Limiteds. The Classic ROBLOX Fedora asks 388,499 Robux on 10,647 copies, which is a large print for a price that high, and it holds that price because it is the founding hat of the fedora family. The same logic props up the Clockwork's Headphones line and the Golden Crown among the crowns.
Two things to watch before you buy. First, a holding period locks every copy you acquire: 7 days after a resale purchase and 2 days after a trade on classic Limiteds, which our holding periods guide sets out in full. Second, thin items in this group can be projected, meaning the RAP was pumped by a small group trading at prices nobody else pays. Since one sale moves RAP a tenth of the way, a single inflated trade does lasting damage to the number. Read the sale history on the item page before you agree to anything, and watch the Deals feed for copies listed under RAP, which needs a signed-in account.
None of this is financial advice. Limited prices move on demand that can disappear, and Robux you spend on a 2007 hat is Robux you might not get back.

FAQ
What is the oldest Roblox Limited?
The Red Baseball Cap and the Classic ROBLOX Viking Helm, both published on May 30, 2007. Both sold as ordinary catalog items for years first. Roblox capped the Viking Helm's supply on August 4, 2010 and the Red Baseball Cap's on September 7, 2015.
What was the first Roblox Limited ever released?
The Green Bow Tie, on October 5, 2009. It sold for 100 Robux with a stock of 100 copies, and 96 of those copies still exist. Roblox flipped the Domino Crown and The Crimson Catseye to Limited the following day.
How many Roblox Limiteds are from 2007?
53, holding 928,746 copies between them, per RBX Invest catalog data on September 15, 2026. That figure counts classic Limiteds whose asset was published during 2007, whatever year Roblox later capped their supply.
What is the rarest 2007 Roblox Limited?
The Kleos Aphthiton, with 11 copies. Roblox awarded it to the top four finishers of a 2007 tournament and it became a Limited on February 19, 2017. Its RAP reads 0 because no sale has been recorded against it in our data, so that number says nothing about what a copy is worth.
What is the cheapest Roblox Limited from 2007?
The Lampshade, at a lowest ask of 674 Robux on September 15, 2026. It has 142,654 copies and printed 697 sales in the last 30 days, which makes it one of the most liquid classic Limiteds on the platform.
Why is the Domino Crown worth so much more than the other 2007 hats?
Copies. Roblox awarded the Domino Crown as a contest prize in June 2007 and never sold it, so 25 copies exist against 118,959 Red Baseball Caps. It also anchors a whole series of later recolors, which keeps demand for the original alive.
Can you trade the oldest Roblox Limiteds?
Yes. All of them are classic Limiteds made by Roblox, and classic Limiteds move through the player-to-player trade system as well as through Marketplace resales. Both accounts need an active Roblox Plus subscription at $4.99 a month. A copy bought on resale is locked for 7 days, and a copy received in a trade is locked for 2 days.
Is Roblox still turning old items into Limiteds?
Yes. The Lampshade, published in August 2007, became a Limited during a March 2026 sale. Before that the Traffic Cone flipped in September 2022 and the Bighead in May 2022, both of them 2007 hats that had been sitting in the catalog for fifteen years.
Figures in this article come from RBX Invest catalog and sales data as of September 15, 2026, with live lowest-resale prices and on-sale prices from Roblox's own catalog data on the same date, the dates each item went Limited from the Roblox Wiki on Fandom, and resale fee and holding rules from Roblox's marketplace documentation.
