Roblox Limited waist accessories are the items that clip to your avatar's hips: tails, skirts, bustles, sheathed swords, and the old Portrait of a Hero canvases. RBX Invest tracks 3,265 of them as Limiteds, which means items with a capped number of copies that players resell to each other. Most are cheap. The median waist Limited that has ever resold carries a RAP of 199 R$ (RAP is Roblox's recent average price, a smoothed average of everything an item has ever sold for), 261 sit at 1,000 R$ or more, and only 17 reach a RAP of 10,000 R$. The slot's leader is the Book of Success, a developer award from 2022 with 405 copies and a RAP of 77,712 R$.
Quick answer: Waist accessories are one of Roblox's smallest Limited slots, with 3,265 tracked items, a 199 R$ median RAP among those that have resold, and 17 items above a 10,000 R$ RAP. The Book of Success, the Portrait of a Hero canvases, and a short list of tails and hip swords hold almost all of the slot's value.

What counts as a Roblox waist accessory? Anything that clips to your avatar's hips
Roblox sorts avatar accessories by where they attach, and the waist slot is the one at your character's hips. Four kinds of item live there. Tails are the group you see most, from cat tails to fluffy anime tails, and 344 waist Limiteds carry the word in their name. Skirts and bustles that hang from the hips sit here too. So do belts and sheathed swords, which ride at your side. And then there are the Portrait of a Hero canvases, a classic Roblox series where your avatar carries a framed painting.
A waist item becomes collectible once Roblox publishes it as a Limited, meaning the copies are capped and resale is allowed. Two kinds exist. Classic Limiteds are made by Roblox itself and can be traded player to player. UGC Limiteds are made by community creators (UGC means user-generated content) and change hands only through Marketplace resales, because Roblox's trade system covers classic Limiteds. The waist slot runs 3,240 UGC to 25 Roblox-made, so almost everything here is community work.
How much are Roblox waist Limiteds worth? The median resold one is 199 R$
Of the 3,265 waist Limiteds in our catalog, 1,729 have recorded at least one resale. The median of those carries a RAP of 199 R$, and 559 of them sit under 100 R$. The remaining 1,536 have never produced a sale we can price, which is normal for a small slot. A tail that 25 people bought and nobody relisted has no market yet.
The top is thin. 261 items reach a 1,000 R$ RAP and 17 reach 10,000 R$. In the hat slot, 8,862 Limiteds carry a RAP of 1,000 R$ or more. If you want cheap entries, 240 waist Limiteds currently have a live listing at 100 R$ or less and 728 are listed at 500 R$ or less. You can browse them in the UGC Limited waist accessories collection or next to everything else inexpensive in Limiteds under 100 R$.
Which waist Limiteds are worth the most? The Book of Success leads at a 77,712 RAP
Copies is the total number ever minted. Lowest ask is the cheapest copy a reseller has listed right now.
| Item | Copies | RAP | Lowest ask | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 405 | 77,712 R$ | 49,974 R$ | Classic | |
| 49 | 61,025 R$ | 50,000 R$ | UGC | |
| 101 | 29,963 R$ | 50,000 R$ | UGC | |
| 301 | 28,970 R$ | 28,888 R$ | Classic | |
| 300 | 27,150 R$ | 50,000 R$ | Classic | |
| 303 | 26,374 R$ | 999,999,999,999 R$ | Classic | |
| 300 | 23,776 R$ | 25,997 R$ | Classic | |
| 501 | 14,597 R$ | 14,999 R$ | Classic | |
| 101 | 12,042 R$ | 999,999 R$ | UGC | |
| 50 | 10,801 R$ | 100,000 R$ | UGC | |
| 250 | 10,214 R$ | 5,000 R$ | UGC | |
| 570 | 9,271 R$ | 39,999 R$ | Classic | |
| 108,752 | 492 R$ | 500 R$ | Classic |
Two cells in that table matter more than the rest. The Alps portrait shows a lowest ask of 999,999,999,999 R$, and Evermourne is listed at 999,999 R$ against a 12,042 R$ RAP. Those are projected items, meaning the only copies for sale are parked at prices nobody pays, often to make an item look more valuable than it is. Read the ask and the RAP together and you can spot it in a second, which we break down in projected items explained.
The last row shows what supply does. Portrait of a Hero in ROBLOX came out of the Iconic Gift of the Creator on December 14, 2015, and 108,752 copies exist, so it trades near 500 R$ while its 300-copy siblings sit in the tens of thousands. The record holder for the slot is the Party Unicorn Floatie with 4,203,154 copies and a 300 R$ ask.
Why is the Book of Success the top waist Limited? 405 copies handed to developers
The Book of Success was published on February 15, 2022, and Roblox's own catalog description says what it was: "An award presented to outstanding developers for participating in our DevRel challenges." It went out as a prize, and 405 copies exist. A tiny count plus a way of earning it that closed years ago is what the market pays for.
It sits at a 77,712 R$ RAP with a cheapest copy at 49,974 R$. That gap is wide enough to matter. The RAP reflects older sales, while the ask tells you what you'd pay today, and when the spread is around 35% the ask is the number to plan around.
Are Portrait of a Hero items waist accessories? Yes, and they are the slot's classic tier
Ten Portrait of a Hero canvases sit in the waist slot, nine of them sold between 2014 and 2018 at 1,500 to 2,000 R$ each. The four smallest prints (ROBLOX HQ at 301 copies, Crossing the Delaware at 300, the Alps at 303, and the Beach at 300) carry RAPs from 23,776 to 28,970 R$, roughly 12x to 14x their original price. The later ones were printed in bigger numbers and never caught up: Camping has 570 copies at a 9,271 R$ RAP, the Colosseum has 501 at 14,597 R$, and the Snow Day edition has 2,164 at 3,366 R$.
One sibling is easy to miss. Portrait of a Hero at Carnival is a Portrait by name and art, but Roblox filed it as a hat, so it never shows up in waist listings. It has 502 copies and a 20,169 R$ RAP.
The Portraits are also the only waist items you can put in a player-to-player trade, since trading covers classic Limiteds. For the full story of the series, read our Portrait of a Hero series history.
Do Roblox tails hold value? Only a handful clear 1,000 R$
Tails are the part of this slot most people shop, and the part that disappoints most often. Most of the 344 named tails arrived after UGC Limiteds launched in April 2023, and the typical one trades for a couple of hundred Robux.
The exceptions are small prints. The Fluffy Purple Fade Tail launched at 499 R$ with 49 copies and now carries a 61,025 R$ RAP with a 50,000 R$ ask. That is the formula for the tail market: under 50 copies, a look people still want three years later, and a creator who skipped the ten-recolor follow-up.
One caution on tail prices. The highest RAP in the whole waist slot belongs to Poofy Tail (Down, Black), a single-copy item at 777,777 R$ with nothing listed for sale. A one-copy item's RAP is one sale, and one sale between two accounts can say whatever those two accounts want it to say. Treat single-copy prints as unpriced until a second sale happens.
Are hip swords and skirts worth buying? Watch the ask against the RAP
The sheathed swords are the slot's cult favorites. The Fabled Sword line put out five pieces between April and June 2023, each at 101 copies for 1,000 R$, and they spread out hard: Wraithbane holds a 29,963 R$ RAP, Evermourne 12,042 R$, Wintersvein 6,012 R$, Zeraphyn 2,209 R$, and Quietus 850 R$. Same line, same print size, same launch price, a 35x spread in outcome. Wintersvein currently has no copies listed at all, which happens on thin markets and means you wait for a holder to list. If you like the look, the swords collection tracks the hip-worn pieces next to the classic blades.
Skirts behave differently because creators recolor them. DopeSir's Chandelier Skirt came in four finishes, and the market split by print size: black at 50 copies holds a 10,801 R$ RAP, rose gold at 50 holds 9,046 R$, silver at 250 holds 10,214 R$ with a much cheaper 5,000 R$ ask, and gold at 100 holds 5,079 R$. Recolors spread demand across versions, and the smallest print usually wins. Our recolor pricing guide digs into that, and the UGC Limited dresses collection covers the rest of the skirt market.
What do you keep when you resell a waist Limited? Half on UGC, 70% on classic
The split depends on who made the item. On a UGC Limited resale, Roblox's marketplace documentation puts 50% in the reseller's pocket, 10% to the original creator, 10% to the seller or affiliate, and 30% to Roblox. List a tail at 10,000 R$ and you receive 5,000 R$, so the price has to double before you break even on what you paid.
Classic Limiteds carry a 30% marketplace fee, so a 10,000 R$ sale on a Portrait pays you 7,000 R$ and break-even is about 1.43x your cost. That difference is the strongest argument for the classic tier of this slot. Our marketplace fees guide has the full breakdown.
Two rules shape your timing. A Limited bought from the creator at launch can be locked for up to 30 days before you may resell it, and a copy bought on the resale market can be locked for up to 7 days, which the holding periods guide walks through. Reselling also requires an active Roblox Plus subscription on the seller's account, while whoever buys your copy needs nothing. Trading classic Limiteds needs Roblox Plus on both sides.
Are waist Limiteds worth collecting? Only with your eyes open on supply
The waist slot rewards patience and punishes volume. 2,173 of its Limiteds have 100 copies or fewer, so scarcity by itself is common and cheap here. What's rare is scarcity attached to something players still want to wear. The classic Portraits have held about 12x their launch price for a decade because Roblox stopped making them. The UGC winners share one shape: tiny prints, no recolor flood, and a creator people follow.
If you're shopping the slot, sort by the lowest ask, check the copy count before you call a price cheap, and watch the items leaderboard for movement across the whole catalog. Resellers tracking positions can use the reseller terminal, and signed-in members can catch price drops in the Deals feed. None of this is financial advice, and Robux you put into collectibles is money you might not get back.

FAQ
What is a waist accessory on Roblox?
A waist accessory is an avatar item that attaches at your character's hips. The slot covers tails, skirts and bustles, belts, sheathed swords worn at the side, and the Portrait of a Hero canvases. It is separate from the back and shoulder slots, so a waist item can be worn alongside wings or a shoulder pet.
How many Roblox Limited waist accessories are there?
RBX Invest tracks 3,265 waist Limiteds as of October 1, 2026: 3,240 made by community creators and 25 made by Roblox. 1,729 of them have recorded at least one resale, and 501 still have copies in stock from the creator.
What is the most valuable Roblox waist accessory?
The Book of Success holds the highest RAP of any multi-copy waist Limited at 77,712 R$, with 405 copies and a cheapest listing of 49,974 R$. Roblox gave it to developers for taking part in its DevRel challenges in February 2022.
Are Portrait of a Hero items really waist accessories?
Yes. The Portrait canvases hang at your avatar's side and Roblox files ten of them in the waist slot. Nine sold for 1,500 to 2,000 R$ between 2014 and 2018, and the four 300-copy editions now carry RAPs between 23,776 and 28,970 R$. Portrait of a Hero at Carnival is the exception: Roblox classified that one as a hat.
Can you trade Roblox waist Limiteds?
You can trade the Roblox-made ones, like the Portraits and the Book of Success, because the trade system covers classic Limiteds. UGC waist Limiteds change hands only through Marketplace resales. Trading also requires an active Roblox Plus subscription on both accounts.
How much do you keep when you resell a waist Limited?
On a UGC Limited you keep 50% of the sale price, with 10% going to the creator, 10% to the seller or affiliate, and 30% to Roblox. On a Roblox-made Limited you keep 70% after a 30% marketplace fee. A UGC resale needs the price to double before you break even, and a classic one needs about 1.43x.
Why do some waist Limiteds show asks far above their RAP?
Because they're projected, meaning the only copies listed are parked at prices nobody pays. Portrait of a Hero in the Alps shows a 999,999,999,999 R$ lowest ask against a 26,374 R$ RAP, and Evermourne shows 999,999 R$ against 12,042 R$. When the gap is that wide, the RAP is the better guide to value and the item has no real sellers today.
Are cheap waist Limiteds worth buying?
Some are, if you buy them for the look. 240 waist Limiteds have a live listing at 100 R$ or less, and plenty of those will never resell at a profit, since nearly half the slot has never produced a priceable sale. Small copy counts plus a creator with a following is the combination that has actually appreciated here.
