Roblox's royal Limiteds are the classic catalog items named after rulers: the Emperor face, the Enthroned Ruler of the Universe, the Dethroned Ruler that followed it five years later, a short line of princes and princesses, and a couple of royal guards. All of them are Limiteds, meaning Roblox stopped selling them and the only way to get one now is from another player. Roblox added them to the catalog between June 2007 and June 2018 at launch prices from 45 Robux to 15,000 Robux, and today the family runs from a 12,045 R$ RAP top hat up to a face whose only listed copies carry nine-figure asking prices.
Quick answer: Royal Limiteds are Roblox-made classic Limiteds with royal names, and trader consensus puts the 100-copy Dethroned Ruler of the Universe at the top of the family, even though its RAP reads just 46,000 R$. RAP is short for recent average price, the smoothed average Roblox keeps of an item's sale history, and on items this thin it lags badly behind what buyers actually pay.

What counts as a Roblox royal Limited? Roblox-made classic items with royal names
There is no official "royalty" series. Roblox never grouped these the way it grouped the Crowns of the Night line. What links them is the naming: Roblox published every one of them and gave each the name of an emperor, a ruler, a monarch, a prince, a princess, or someone guarding one.
Most are hats. Two are from the Crowns of the Night line and are included here because their names fit. One, the Emperor, is a face. They split into two groups that behave very differently on the market:
- Limited Unique items, which Roblox sold with a fixed stock number printed on every copy. The Emperor, the two Rulers, the Galaxy Emperor, the Elven Prince, the Twilight Emperor, the Alien Monarch, the Diademed Barbarian Prince and the Princess Top Hat all started life this way. Our guide to Limited and Limited U covers the difference in full.
- Plain Limiteds, which Roblox sold at an open price for months or years, then pulled off sale. Princess Hat, Pretty Pretty Princess and The Empress' Guard took that route, which is why the first two have thousands of copies.
The Admiral of the Royal Skyfleet is the extreme version of the second group. Roblox had it on sale from September 2009 at 2,800 Robux, a fortune back then, and our catalog counts just 76 copies in existence. Community records place its switch to Limited in May 2011.
That split explains most of the price spread below.
Which royal Limited is worth the most? Trader consensus says the Dethroned Ruler of the Universe
The table below is ordered by consensus street value, which is what experienced traders treat a copy as being worth. Where that order disagrees with RAP, the disagreement is the interesting part. Copies means how many exist in player inventories. Lowest ask means the cheapest copy anyone currently has listed for sale on Roblox.
| Item | Catalog date | Launch price | Copies | RAP (R$) | Lowest ask (R$) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sep 2015 | 15,000 | 100 | 46,000 | 1,000,000,000 | |
| Oct 2010 | 2,050 | 142 | 96,309 | 9,999,999,998 | |
| Sep 2009 | 2,800 | 76 | 66,184 | 2,799,999 | |
| Apr 2010 | 2,000 | 95 | 196,755 | 618,033,988 | |
| May 2010 | 5,000 | 96 | 193,185 | 67,676,767 | |
| Feb 2012 | 501 | 105 | 108,101 | 4,444,444 | |
| Sep 2011 | 200 | 124 | 78,566 | 750,000 | |
| Jun 2011 | 1,000 | 4,520 | 159,023 | 169,500 | |
| Jun 2017 | 250 | 4,229 | 146,011 | 149,000 | |
| Sep 2011 | 50 | 244 | 132,779 | 190,000 | |
| Jun 2017 | 500 | 3,262 | 96,683 | 119,000 | |
| Dec 2009 | 300 | 279 | 36,603 | 700,000 | |
| Nov 2012 | 1,000 | 249 | 31,456 | 298,748 | |
| Sep 2011 | 500 | 590 | 30,531 | 55,000 | |
| May 2015 | 125 | 1,003 | 25,275 | 21,999 | |
| Jul 2011 | 1,000 | 399 | 17,165 | 30,000 | |
| Jun 2007 | 109 | 5,619 | 15,588 | 16,499 | |
| Jan 2013 | 115 | 343 | 12,529 | 29,999 | |
| Apr 2011 | 500 | 472 | 12,045 | 14,299 |
Read the bottom third of that table and the two columns agree: Princess Top Hat's RAP is 12,045 R$ and the cheapest listed copy is 14,299 R$, a gap of about 19%. Those items sell often enough that RAP keeps up.
The top of the table is where the two measures come apart. The Dethroned Ruler ranks first on consensus value with a RAP of 46,000 R$, which is lower than ten other items on the list. Galaxy Emperor and the Admiral of the Royal Skyfleet sit second and third on consensus while their RAPs are 96,309 R$ and 66,184 R$.
Why is the Dethroned Ruler's RAP so low? Almost nobody sells one
Roblox sold the Dethroned Ruler in September 2015 for 15,000 Robux, the most expensive launch price in this family by a factor of three. Only 100 copies were ever minted.
The Roblox Wiki records that a single collector built a hoard of roughly 47 copies of it, which the community has long treated as the reason the item almost never appears on the resale market. We cannot verify that count independently, so treat it as community lore. What our own data does show is the effect: the cheapest listed copy is priced at 1,000,000,000 R$, which is a placeholder from an owner who has no intention of selling.
That is what a frozen market looks like. RAP only moves when a sale happens, and the formula moves it one tenth of the way toward each new sale price. If the last real trades happened years ago at 2015-era prices, RAP sits at those prices forever while traders quietly revalue the item upward in private deals. Our write-up on hoarding and whales explains how a big holder does this on purpose, and the projected items guide covers the opposite problem, a projected item, where a single inflated sale drags RAP above anything a buyer will actually pay.
A practical rule: when you see a nine-figure or ten-figure lowest ask, read it as a closed shop. Galaxy Emperor's cheapest copy is listed at 9,999,999,998 R$. Nobody is selling. If you want one, you will be negotiating a trade with an owner.
Is the Emperor a hat? It is a face, and the 2026 head migration changed it
The Emperor is the single highest-RAP item in this family at 196,755 R$, and it is a face. Roblox published it in April 2010 at 2,000 Robux as a Limited Unique, and our catalog counts 95 copies in existence. It is a smiling face under a green laurel wreath, the ancient symbol of victory, which is where the name comes from.
Its market changed in 2026. Roblox replaced the flat 2D face Limiteds with animated dynamic head versions, keeping serial numbers (the stamped number each copy carries, where #1 is the first ever sold) and resale rights intact, and finished that rollout in March 2026. Face values fell hard over the following months, covered in why Roblox face Limiteds lost value. The Emperor now lives in the catalog as a dynamic head bundle, which is why its thumbnail comes from a bundle path.
Two copies are listed today, at 618,033,988 R$ and higher. Both are refusals dressed up as prices. The classic faces collection ranks the rest of that era live.
What were the Rulers of the Universe? A 2010 throne hat and its 2015 revenge sequel
The Enthroned Ruler of the Universe arrived on May 29, 2010 at 5,000 Robux, which was enormous money for a hat in 2010. It is a tiny golden throne worn on the head, and Roblox gave it the description "Weightless is the head that wears the crown." Our catalog counts 96 copies.
Five years later Roblox published the Dethroned Ruler of the Universe with the description "He will stop at nothing to reclaim the throne. Worlds will burn." Same mesh family, darker story, triple the price, 100 copies. The pair is one of the few times Roblox wrote an actual sequel into the catalog.
Both now trade in the gem tier, our word for a scarce Limited that holds serious value, and both are effectively unavailable at any posted price. You can see where they rank against everything else on the rarest Limiteds collection and the items leaderboard.
Which royal Limiteds can you actually afford? The princess tier starts around 14,000 Robux
The bottom of the table is the part a normal trader can buy today. Princess Top Hat (472 copies) has a listed copy at 14,299 R$. Princess Hat, the oldest royal item in the catalog at June 2007 and the most common at 5,619 copies, has one at 16,499 R$. Elven Princess, part of the wider elf Limited family, has one at 21,999 R$. The Empress' Guard sits at 29,999 R$ with only 343 copies, and Royal Guard at 30,000 R$ with 399.
Pretty Pretty Princess is the odd one out. Roblox sold it from June 2011 at 1,000 Robux and community records place its switch to Limited in February 2017, so 4,520 copies exist, and yet its RAP is 159,023 R$ with a cheapest copy at 169,500 R$. It carries over 37,000 favorites in our catalog, one of the highest counts in this group. Demand built over six years of being visible in the shop, then the supply stopped. Community records also note it was discounted to 560 Robux in a 2016 Presidents' Day sale, a reminder of how cheap classic Limiteds were while Roblox was still selling them. Our guide to Roblox sale events explains how those discounts used to work.
Two royal items went Limited long after Roblox first published them. Prince of the Gilded Feather launched at 50 Robux and The Empress' Guard launched cheaply too, and community records place both switches in 2022, when Roblox turned a batch of old off-sale hats into Limiteds. The Gilded Feather is now a six-figure item from a 50-Robux start. That mechanic has its own article: off-sale items going Limited.
What is the Emperor Of The Sky set? Four 2018 recolors sold at four price tiers
In June 2018 Roblox released four night-themed crowns in one sale event, each at a different price and stock level. Eight years later the market still ranks them in exactly the order Roblox priced them.
| Item | Launch price | Copies | RAP (R$) | Lowest ask (R$) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 500 | 1,000 | 6,106 | 6,000 | |
| 250 | 1,500 | 3,238 | 3,710 | |
| 100 | 2,001 | 2,510 | 2,200 | |
| 45 | 10,006 | 890 | 849 |
The Aqua version cost 45 Robux and Roblox minted 10,006 copies of it, and it is worth under 1,000 R$ today. The Onyx version cost 500 Robux with 1,000 copies and is worth about seven times as much. Launch stock does most of the work in a recolor set, and these four are a clean example.
The Emperor of the Night pair from June 2017 shows the same logic with a twist. Silver launched at 250 Robux with 4,229 copies and carries a 146,011 R$ RAP. Gold launched at double the price with fewer copies, 3,262, and carries 96,683 R$. Collectors preferred the silver look, and the market priced it accordingly.
What drives the premium on royal Limiteds?
Four things, in rough order of how much they matter:
- Copy count. Under roughly 300 copies, scarcity carries the price by itself. The Emperor, the Enthroned Ruler, the Elven Prince and the Gilded Feather all clear a 100,000 R$ RAP on small supply.
- Float. Float means the copies actually available to buy. The Dethroned Ruler and the Galaxy Emperor have almost none, so posted prices stop meaning anything.
- Looks on an avatar. The Pretty Pretty Princess and the Silver Emperor of the Night both beat items with a tenth of their supply because people genuinely want to wear them. Favorite counts are a decent proxy for that.
- Age. Items from 2007 to 2012 carry a premium because most accounts that bought them at launch no longer trade, which quietly removes supply.
Themed shelves move together, so the crowns collection and the classic hats collection are the fastest way to see a whole tier ranked live.
Collector's outlook: buy the liquid end, trade for the frozen end
If you have a few thousand Robux, the princess tier and the Emperor Of The Sky set are the entry points that will actually fill. The price you see is real, and you can sell again later without hunting for a counterparty.
If you want the Rulers, the Galaxy Emperor or the Emperor face, budget differently. Those change hands through player-to-player trades, and classic Limiteds like these are the only Roblox items the trade system supports at all. Both sides of a trade need an active Roblox Plus subscription. Buying a resale puts a 7-day holding period on the item, meaning Roblox blocks you from listing it again for a week, and a trade puts a 2-day hold on it.
On resale costs: Roblox takes a 30% marketplace fee when you sell a classic Limited, so you keep 70% of the sticker price. A copy bought at 100,000 R$ has to sell near 143,000 R$ before you are even. On items this illiquid that is a wide hurdle, which is why the frozen end of this family suits a long hold.
Watch two signals on any royal item you are tracking. First, whether a real ask exists near RAP, which our reseller tracking shows as a live ladder. Second, whether a fresh sale has moved RAP at all in recent months. Signed-in members can also catch underpriced listings on these as they appear in the Deals feed.
None of this is financial advice. Limited prices move on sentiment and on what a handful of large holders decide to do, and a hoarded item can stay frozen for years.
Figures come from RBX Invest catalog data as of October 21, 2026, checked the same day against Roblox's own item and bundle endpoints, with fees and resale rules checked against Roblox's Marketplace fee documentation and item lore from the community-maintained Roblox Wiki pages for Emperor and Dethroned Ruler of the Universe.
FAQ
Which Roblox royal Limited is worth the most?
Trader consensus puts the Dethroned Ruler of the Universe first, despite its RAP reading 46,000 R$. It has 100 copies, launched at 15,000 Robux in September 2015, and almost never appears for sale. By RAP alone the Emperor face leads at 196,755 R$.
Is the Emperor a face or a hat on Roblox?
The Emperor is a face. Roblox published it in April 2010 at 2,000 Robux as a Limited Unique, and our catalog counts 95 copies. Since Roblox finished migrating 2D faces to animated dynamic heads in March 2026, it exists as a dynamic head bundle.
What is the cheapest royal Limited on Roblox?
Princess Top Hat is the cheapest in this family, with a lowest listed copy at 14,299 R$ against a 12,045 R$ RAP as of October 21, 2026. Princess Hat at 16,499 R$ and Elven Princess at 21,999 R$ are the next steps up.
Why do some royal Limiteds have asking prices in the billions?
Because the owner does not want to sell. A copy listed at 9,999,999,998 R$, like the cheapest Galaxy Emperor, is a refusal with a number attached. When every listed copy looks like that, the item only changes hands through trades.
Can you trade royal Limiteds on Roblox?
Yes. Every royal item in this family is a classic Roblox-created Limited, and Roblox's marketplace documentation states that only Roblox-created Limiteds are tradeable. Both sides of the trade need an active Roblox Plus subscription.
How much does Roblox take when you resell a classic Limited?
Roblox takes a 30% marketplace fee, leaving the seller 70% of the sale price. That means a resale has to land about 1.43 times your purchase price to break even, before you account for how long an illiquid item can take to sell.
Why is Pretty Pretty Princess worth so much with 4,520 copies?
Demand. Roblox sold it from June 2011 until it went Limited in 2017, so it sat in the shop for nearly six years and collected over 37,000 favorites in our catalog. Its RAP is 159,023 R$ and the cheapest copy is listed at 169,500 R$, above items with a fraction of its supply.
Which Emperor Of The Sky crown holds the most value?
The Onyx Emperor Of The Sky Crown, at a 6,106 R$ RAP with 1,000 copies. The set's four 2018 recolors still rank in the order Roblox priced them, with Aqua last at an 890 R$ RAP and 10,006 copies.
