The Starface series is a set of seven Roblox Limited faces, released in three waves: three in June 2013, three in June 2014 and one around July 4th in 2016. A Limited is a Roblox item with a fixed number of copies that players resell to each other, and all seven of these are classic Limiteds, meaning Roblox published them itself. Crimson Starface leads the family at a 13,085 RAP from only 1,000 copies, while Green Starface sits at the bottom with 15,009 copies and a 1,701 RAP. Each one launched at 50, 100 or 150 Robux (R$), and that launch price still predicts the order they trade in today. Every member also lost about half its value during 2026, after Roblox finished turning classic faces into animated dynamic heads.
Quick answer: Seven Starface Limiteds exist. Crimson and Purple are the scarce pair at roughly 1,000 copies each and trade between 9,000 and 14,000 R$, while the other five hold 4,999 to 15,009 copies and sell for 1,700 to 3,400 R$. Across the family, the average sale price fell about 55% from the first quarter of 2026 to the third.
| Face | Released | Launch price | Copies | RAP | Lowest ask | Q1 to Q3 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jun 19, 2014 | 150 R$ | 1,000 | 13,085 R$ | 13,998 R$ | down 58% | |
| Jun 20, 2013 | 150 R$ | 1,001 | 9,020 R$ | 11,500 R$ | down 61% | |
| Jun 30, 2016 | 100 R$ | 5,003 | 3,029 R$ | 2,400 R$ | down 49% | |
| Jun 19, 2014 | 100 R$ | 4,999 | 2,720 R$ | 3,395 R$ | down 52% | |
| Jun 20, 2013 | 100 R$ | 7,502 | 2,619 R$ | 3,110 R$ | down 57% | |
| Jun 19, 2014 | 50 R$ | 15,005 | 2,180 R$ | 2,650 R$ | down 50% | |
| Jun 20, 2013 | 50 R$ | 15,009 | 1,701 R$ | 1,699 R$ | down 55% |
Three terms carry most of the weight in that table, and all the figures come from RBX Invest catalog and sale data as of October 19, 2026. Copies is how many of the item exist in players' inventories, all of them already sold, because every Starface Limited is offsale and Roblox stopped selling new ones years ago. The lowest ask is the cheapest copy anyone currently has listed for resale, so it's what buying one costs right now. Q1 in that last column means January to March 2026 and Q3 means July to September. RAP, short for Recent Average Price, is Roblox's smoothed average of an item's past sale prices: each new sale drags the number one tenth of the way from the old RAP toward that sale price, which is why a quiet item can carry a RAP nobody is paying. The RAP guide works through the math. You can see where these seven rank against the rest of the old face market in the classic faces collection.
What is the Starface series on Roblox? Seven Limited U faces sold in three waves
Roblox published the first three on June 20, 2013, and built them as a price ladder. Green Starface cost 50 R$ with 15,009 copies, Blue Starface cost 100 R$ with 7,502 copies, and Purple Starface cost 150 R$ with 1,001 copies. Pay more, get a scarcer print, where a print is just the number of copies Roblox minted.
A year later, on June 19, 2014, Roblox ran the same ladder again with new colors and slightly tighter supply in the middle. Yellow Starface took the 50 R$ slot with 15,005 copies, Orange Starface the 100 R$ slot with 4,999 copies, and Crimson Starface the 150 R$ slot with 1,000 copies. The 2014 mid-tier printed about a third fewer copies than the 2013 one, and the 2014 top tier shaved a single copy off Purple's print.
All seven are Limited U items, Roblox's tag for a Limited sold in a capped run where every copy carries a serial number (Limited versus Limited U covers the difference). The serial tells you which copy out of the total print you own, and low serials can carry a premium with collectors, which our serial number guide explains.
Roblox also gave each one a line about stars in its description. Purple carries "It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves," Blue reads "I like the night. Without the dark, we'd never see the stars," and Crimson runs four lines of verse ending "I have lied my way to the stars." It's a small touch, and it's the clearest sign the six color variants were planned as one line.
Which Starface is worth the most? Crimson Starface, at 13,085 RAP from 1,000 copies
Crimson Starface holds the family's highest RAP at 13,085 R$ and the highest live ask at 13,998 R$. It is the smallest print in the series at exactly 1,000 copies, and it trades thinly: our data shows 10 sales in the last 90 days, with five copies listed for resale as of October 19, 2026.
Purple Starface is the natural comparison. Its print is 1,001 copies, one more than Crimson, and it carries a 9,020 RAP with the cheapest copy at 11,500 R$. Nine copies are listed. Purple came out a year earlier and is arguably the better-known color, yet Crimson's RAP runs 45% above Purple's and its cheapest copy is about 22% dearer. With prints this close, the gap comes down to taste and to how rarely copies reach the market.
Then prices fall off a cliff. The third-ranked member, Red White and Starface, carries a 3,029 RAP, less than a quarter of Crimson's. There is no middle tier in this family: two items trade near five figures and five sit in the low thousands, and that split lines up exactly with the 1,000-copy prints against the 5,000-plus prints.
Why did Starface prices fall by half in 2026? The dynamic head migration
Roblox announced on January 27, 2026 that it would finish its dynamic head migration, converting every classic 2D face into an animated dynamic head. Limited faces were converted one for one: holders kept their copies, Roblox sold no extra copies, and serial numbers carried over. Roblox's own asset records date the replacement head pieces for Crimson, Blue and Green Starface to January 17, 2026, ten days before the public post, with the matching mood assets following on February 2. The final update on Roblox's dynamic head migration announcement, posted March 23, 2026, confirmed that all classic heads and faces had moved over and that Limited heads stayed tradeable and resellable.
The market reaction shows up cleanly in the sale data. Across the past year, every Starface's strongest month came in the first quarter of 2026, the quarter of the announcement, and the slide has run ever since:
- Crimson averaged 24,417 R$ per sale in Q1 2026 and 10,200 R$ in Q3.
- Purple went from 22,671 R$ to 8,914 R$.
- Blue went from 6,201 R$ to 2,641 R$.
- Green went from 3,878 R$ to 1,740 R$.
The median decline across all seven is 55%, which puts the family right in line with the wider face market: our breakdown of the Limited faces decline found a twelve-face basket down about 70% from its January 2026 top, against a median of roughly 15% for blue-chip hats over the same window.
What makes the Starface case interesting is that demand held up in units. The seven recorded 362 sales in Q1 2026 and 345 in Q3, a drop of about 5%, while average prices halved. People are still buying these faces at the same rate as before. They're paying half as much.
What does a Starface cost today? Between 1,699 R$ and 13,998 R$
Green Starface is the cheapest way into the family at 1,699 R$, and it is the most liquid member, with 100 sales in the last 90 days and 28 copies listed on October 19, 2026. Yellow follows at 2,650 R$ with 95 sales over the same period. Both have prints above 15,000 copies, so there's always a seller.
Red White and Starface is the one real discount on the board: it asks 2,400 R$ against a 3,029 R$ RAP, about 21% under the smoothed average, which happens when recent sales ran hotter than what the cheapest seller wants today. Green's 1,699 R$ ask sits level with its 1,701 R$ RAP. The other five all ask above RAP, from 7% on Crimson up to 28% on Purple.
Work the fees before you buy anything with resale in mind. A classic Limited resale carries a 30% marketplace fee, so 70% of the sale price lands in your account. Buy Green at 1,699 R$ and you need roughly 2,430 R$ on the way out to break even, about 1.43 times your cost. On a face that averaged 1,740 R$ per sale last quarter and is still drifting down, that break-even is a long way off. Reselling also needs an active Roblox Plus subscription on the seller's account, and a copy bought on the resale market sits under a seven-day hold before you can list it again, which our holding periods guide covers.
Live asks move daily, so check the items leaderboard before treating any figure here as the price you will pay, watch the Deals feed for copies listing below their usual floor (it needs a signed-in account), and use the reseller terminal to track positions. This is not financial advice, and a sector in a year-long downtrend can keep falling.
Is Red White and Starface part of the series? Yes, as the 2016 July 4th member
Red White and Starface arrived on June 30, 2016 at 100 R$ with 5,003 copies, and its description reads "The red and white and starry blue / Is freedom's shield and hope." It's the only Starface tied to a holiday, and it arrived with the rest of Roblox's 2016 Independence Day items, which we track in the July 4th Limiteds history.
Its market behaves like the 100 R$ tier it belongs to. The 5,003-copy print is almost identical to Orange's 4,999, and their RAPs sit about 300 R$ apart, though Red White's cheapest listing runs roughly 1,000 R$ under Orange's. Holiday items sometimes catch a seasonal bid in their own month, and this one has shown little of that: its Q3 average of 3,022 R$ ran about 20% above Orange's 2,499 R$, and the 2026 slide hit it the least hard of the seven at down 49%.
Can you still buy a Starface from Roblox? Only the plain one, at 75 R$
Every Limited in this family is offsale, meaning Roblox no longer sells new copies and the only way to get one is from another player. Roblox does still sell a plain, non-Limited Starface in the catalog for 75 R$, checked on October 19, 2026. It has no fixed print, no serial number and no resale market, so it gets you the look for pocket change and stays an ordinary catalog item forever.
That split is worth understanding before you spend. The Limited versions are scarce because Roblox closed the sale with a fixed number of copies in players' hands, and scarcity is what gives a copy a resale price at all. An ordinary catalog face stays on sale at its sticker price, so no resale market forms around it. Our explainer on offsale items going Limited covers how an item crosses from one side to the other.
Are Starfaces worth collecting in 2026? Cheap, liquid, and still falling
Two honest reads sit side by side. The five cheap members are genuinely liquid for their price band: a few thousand Robux buys a recognizable classic Limited with a serial number, and 340 copies changed hands across the family in the last 90 days. For a collector filling out a classic-face set, that's a good deal, and all five sit in the under-10,000 Robux band we track in the Limiteds under 10,000 collection.
The investment case is weaker. Faces are the classic sector with the clearest dated reason for their decline, and prices have gone down in most months since that date. Crimson and Purple are the only two with gem-tier scarcity, at about 1,000 copies each, and they are also the two that fell hardest, down 58% and 61%. If you believe converted faces eventually get re-rated on scarcity alone, those two are the cleanest bet on it. If that's wrong, they're also the two with the most room left to fall. Browse the collections hub to compare this family against hat and helmet lines in the same price band before committing.
Figures here come from RBX Invest catalog and sale data plus Roblox's own asset and catalog records as of October 19, 2026, migration details from Roblox's January 27, 2026 devforum announcement and its March 23, 2026 update, and resale fee rules checked against Roblox's Marketplace documentation the same day.
FAQ
What is the Starface series in Roblox?
The Starface series is seven classic Limited faces published by Roblox: Green, Blue and Purple Starface on June 20, 2013, Yellow, Orange and Crimson Starface on June 19, 2014, and Red White and Starface on June 30, 2016. All seven are Limited U items with capped prints and serial numbers, and all are offsale.
How much is a Starface worth in Roblox?
As of October 19, 2026, the cheapest copies are listed from 1,699 R$ for Green Starface up to 13,998 R$ for Crimson Starface. RAP across the family runs from 1,701 R$ to 13,085 R$. The two 1,000-copy members, Crimson and Purple, account for the top of that range, and the five larger prints all sit between 1,699 R$ and 3,395 R$.
Which Starface has the fewest copies?
Crimson Starface, with exactly 1,000 copies. Purple Starface is next at 1,001, then Orange at 4,999 and Red White and Starface at 5,003. Blue printed 7,502, and Yellow and Green printed about 15,000 each, making them the most common members by a wide margin.
Why did Starface prices drop in 2026?
Roblox finished converting classic 2D faces into animated dynamic heads. The announcement came on January 27, 2026 and the conversion completed on March 23, 2026. Every Starface's strongest month in the past year came in the first quarter of 2026, and the median member has since fallen 55% while sale volume stayed almost flat.
Did the dynamic head migration change how many Starfaces exist?
No. Roblox replaced each Limited face one for one, kept the same total number of copies, and carried serial numbers over to the new version. The items remain tradeable and resellable, so the market structure is the same as before the conversion.
Can you trade a Starface on Roblox?
Yes. Starfaces are classic Limiteds, so they move through Roblox's player-to-player Trade system as well as marketplace resales. Trading requires an active Roblox Plus subscription on both accounts, and classic Limiteds carry a two-day hold after a trade plus a seven-day hold after a resale purchase.
What does it cost to resell a Starface?
A classic Limited resale takes a 30% marketplace fee, leaving the seller 70% of the sale price. Sell a Crimson Starface at its current 13,998 R$ ask and 9,799 R$ reaches your account. Break-even on a resale works out to about 1.43 times what you paid for the copy.
Is the plain Starface a Limited?
No. Roblox still sells an ordinary Starface in the catalog for 75 R$, with no capped print, no serial number and no resale market. Only the six colored versions and the 2016 July 4th version are Limiteds.
