Roblox Summer Limiteds: History and Market Values

Roblox summer Limiteds are beach and midsummer hats that mostly went Limited years later. See all 22 with copies, RAP and live asking prices.

Roblox's summer Limiteds are the beach, vacation and midsummer accessories Roblox published itself, and the most expensive one by a wide margin is the Beach House Fedora: a 500 Robux hat from 2015 that now carries a RAP of 2,310,295 R$ across 261 copies. A Limited is an item Roblox has stopped selling, so the only way to get one is to buy a copy from another player. RAP is short for Recent Average Price, a smoothed average Roblox works out from an item's whole resale history. RBX Invest tracks 22 summer items with live prices, and fifteen of them have a copy listed for under 12,000 Robux right now.

Quick answer: Roblox summer Limiteds include the Beach House Fedora, the Beach Ball Head, the Masked Hood of the Midsummers Night Rogue and the 2018 Mid-Summer set. The Beach House Fedora has the highest RAP in the family at 2,310,295 R$, the Beach Ball Head is the scarcest at 186 copies, and most of the rest change hands for a few thousand Robux.

What are Roblox summer Limiteds? Beach and vacation items that mostly went Limited years later

Roblox built these items one at a time across roughly a decade, as gag hats and sale filler, so there is no single named summer series the way there is for the Dominus line. What ties them together now is how they became Limiteds.

Most of them were ordinary catalog items first. You could buy a Summer Hat for 100 Robux in 2011 and nobody thought of it as an investment. Years later Roblox flipped a batch of quiet, half-forgotten items to Limited status during a Memorial Day or Labor Day sale, and whatever number of copies happened to have sold by that day became the permanent supply. That is how the family ended up with such strange scarcity. Our guide to offsale Roblox items going Limited covers the mechanic in full.

A few of them are Limited U instead, short for Limited Unique, which means Roblox set a fixed stock number up front and every copy carries a serial number. The Mayor of Summer, the Summer Hat, the Palm Tree Sunglasses and the Sword of the Summer Sun are all Limited U. If the difference matters to you, we wrote it up in Limited vs Limited U.

Why is the Beach House Fedora the most expensive summer Limited? Because only 262 people ever bought one

Beach House Fedora

The Beach House Fedora went up in the marketplace on May 28, 2015 for 500 Robux, with a description about role playing at a beach house. According to its page on the Roblox Wiki, it sold 262 copies in three years. That is almost nothing for a cheap hat that sat on sale the whole time.

Then, on May 27, 2018, Roblox pulled it into the Memorial Day 2018 sale and made it a Limited. The supply froze at that tiny number, so a 500 Robux beach hat ended up with a print run of a few hundred copies. RBX Invest currently shows 261 copies, a RAP of 2,310,295 R$, and a cheapest listed copy at 2,179,999 R$.

Treat that headline figure with care. The Beach House Fedora almost never trades, and when a Limited has a couple of hundred copies and a handful of sales a year, a small group of holders can push the recorded price wherever they like. Trader consensus puts its real street value far below both its RAP and its asking price, which is the signature of a projected item. Projected means the numbers on the page were pushed up by sales between cooperating accounts, so they overstate what an ordinary buyer would pay. Projected items explained walks through how to spot one before you pay for it.

If fedoras are your thing generally, the fedoras collection ranks the whole hat line by live price.

Which summer Limiteds are worth the most? The full family, ordered by what traders actually pay

The table below follows consensus street value, the price traders actually agree on, so the order deliberately breaks from RAP. That is why the Beach House Fedora sits fourth while carrying more than forty times the biggest RAP anywhere else in the table. The lowest ask column is the cheapest price any current owner has a copy listed at. Copies, RAP and asks all come from the RBX Invest catalog on September 20, 2026.

Mid-Summer Lapel Pin 22,012 1,030 1,199
Summer Bowler 15,180 518 549

The Tropical Holiday Shoulder Bird is the odd one in that list. Its description quotes a Hawaiian Christmas song and it came out on December 19, 2011, so it is a winter item wearing a summer costume. It sits here because collectors shop by theme, and a tropical shoulder bird reads as beach gear whatever month it launched.

Three entries have their own histories on the site. The Masked Hood belongs to a line we covered in the masked hood series, Brighteyes' Summer Vacation Leftovers is part of an admin's long-running joke line covered in the Brighteyes series, and the beach waist accessory is one of the framed items in the Portrait of a Hero series.

Why do RAP and the asking price disagree so badly on summer items? Thin markets move RAP very slowly

Beach Ball Head

Look back at the table. The Beach Ball Head has a RAP of 49,744 R$ and the cheapest copy on sale costs 320,000 R$. The Mayor of Summer has a RAP of 14,572 R$ and an ask of 100,000 R$. The Masked Hood shows 33,419 R$ against an ask of 149,999 R$.

The math behind that gap is simple. Roblox updates RAP with the formula new RAP = old RAP + (sale price − old RAP) ÷ 10. Every sale moves the number one tenth of the way toward the price it sold at. On an item with 186 copies that sells once or twice a year, a decade-old cheap sale is still dragging the average down, and it would take many sales in a row at the current asking price to catch RAP up. What is RAP on Roblox has the full walkthrough.

For a buyer, the practical rule is that RAP tells you where an item has been and the ask tells you what it costs today. On thin items like these, the ask is the number that will come out of your balance. The items leaderboard shows both side by side for every Limited we track, and the Deals feed flags copies listed below RAP once you sign in with your Roblox account.

Did Roblox ever run a real summer sale? Yes, the Mid-Summer Night's Sale in June 2018

Mid-Summer Horns

The closest thing to a purpose-built summer drop was the Mid-Summer Night's Sale, often shortened to the Midnight Sale, which ran from June 22 to June 24, 2018. The Roblox Wiki's record of the event lists the Mid-Summer Horns as the day-two headliner at 3,000 Robux with 10,000 in stock, and the Mid-Summer Cape closing the sale at 200 Robux.

Those horns are the cautionary tale of the family. Buyers paid 3,000 Robux at the sale; the RAP today is 2,268 R$ and the cheapest copy is listed at 2,297 R$. Anyone who bought at launch and sold now would take a loss before the marketplace fee is even counted. Ten thousand copies is a lot of supply for a seasonal item, and supply is what decides these things. If you like the shape more than the ticker, the horns collection has the rest of the line, and our horns series history covers the classic Frozen and Fiery sets that actually held value.

Roblox brought the theme back for the Midnight Sale 2019 with the Mid-Summer Lapel Pin at 25 Robux. It went Limited on May 27, 2022 alongside the cape, and it now sits at a RAP of 1,030 R$ across 22,012 copies.

What was the first Roblox summer Limited? The Summertime 2009 R&R&R, bought with Tix

Summertime 2009 R&R&R

The oldest item in the family is the Summertime 2009 R&R&R, published on July 20, 2009. It cost 25 Tickets, the free currency Roblox ran alongside Robux until 2016, and it went off sale after Labor Day 2009. It only became a Limited on July 11, 2013.

By then more than 110,000 players owned one, which is why a genuine piece of 2009 history has a copy listed at 2,139 R$ today. Scarcity moves prices here far more than age does. We told the wider Tickets story in Tixapalooza.

A few more old ones are worth knowing. Beach Day came out in July 2010 at 25 Robux and went off sale a month later with a little over 2,000 copies sold. Summer Hat and Summer Sophistication both landed in 2011 as Limited U jokes, 100 and 300 Robux respectively, and both have a copy listed under 5,000 R$ today.

Are summer Limiteds a good buy? The cheap end is fun, the scarce end is expensive and slow

Nothing here is financial advice, and Limited prices can fall as easily as they rise.

The honest read on this family is that it splits into two halves. The scarce half, meaning the Masked Hood, the Beach Ball Head and the Mayor of Summer, is priced where it is because supply is tiny and sellers know it. You will pay well above RAP and you may wait a long time to sell.

The cheap half is a different proposition. A Summer Bowler at 549 R$ or a Mid-Summer Cape at 1,940 R$ costs about as much as a coffee run and gives you a real classic Limited in your inventory. Plenty of new traders start there, and the Limiteds under 1,000 R$ collection is built for exactly that budget.

Do the fee math before you plan on flipping anything, meaning buying a copy to resell it later. Roblox charges a 30% marketplace fee when you resell a classic Limited, one Roblox made itself, so you keep 70% of the sale price. Buy a Summer Hat at 4,500 R$ and you need to sell it above roughly 6,430 R$ just to get your Robux back. On an item with 947 copies and slow turnover, that is a long wait for a small edge. Our marketplace fees guide has the full breakdown, including the different split that applies to UGC Limiteds, the ones community creators make and sell.

One more thing worth saying out loud: seasonal items do not reliably spike in their season. The Mid-Summer Horns still sit below their 3,000 Robux launch price eight years on. Buy these because you want to wear a watermelon on your head, and treat any price appreciation as a bonus.

Copy counts, RAP and lowest listed resale prices in this article come from the RBX Invest catalog as of September 20, 2026; release dates, original prices, stock numbers and sale histories come from the Roblox Wiki on Fandom pages for each item and event, and the resale fee was checked against Roblox's Marketplace fees and commissions documentation.

FAQ

What is the most expensive Roblox summer Limited?

The Beach House Fedora has the highest RAP of any Roblox summer Limited at 2,310,295 R$, with 261 copies and a cheapest listed copy at 2,179,999 R$. It rarely trades, and trader consensus puts its real street value well below that figure, so check the live ask before you plan around that number.

Why is the Beach House Fedora so rare?

The Beach House Fedora is rare because it only sold 262 copies during the three years it was on sale for 500 Robux, from May 28, 2015 to May 27, 2018. Roblox then made it a Limited during the Memorial Day 2018 sale, which froze supply at that number permanently.

Which summer Limited has the fewest copies?

The Beach Ball Head has the fewest copies of any summer Limited RBX Invest tracks, at 186. It was published in August 2014 for 1,000 Robux and went Limited on August 30, 2014, during the Labor Day 2014 sale.

What was the Mid-Summer Night's Sale?

The Mid-Summer Night's Sale, also called the Midnight Sale, was a Roblox marketplace sale that ran from June 22 to June 24, 2018. It released the Mid-Summer Horns at 3,000 Robux with 10,000 in stock and the Mid-Summer Cape at 200 Robux, along with a run of night-themed accessories.

Are the Mid-Summer Horns worth buying?

The Mid-Summer Horns sell for far less than their original price. Buyers paid 3,000 Robux at the 2018 sale, and today the RAP is 2,268 R$ with the cheapest copy listed at 2,297 R$. With 10,006 copies in circulation, supply is the reason the price has stayed down.

What was the first Roblox summer item to become a Limited?

The Summertime 2009 R&R&R is the oldest, published on July 20, 2009 and priced at 25 Tickets, the free currency Roblox retired in 2016. It went off sale after Labor Day 2009 and became a Limited on July 11, 2013. With 110,204 copies it is the most common item in the family, and the cheapest listed copy is 2,139 R$.

Why is the asking price so much higher than RAP on these items?

Asking prices sit above RAP on scarce summer items because RAP moves slowly. Roblox recalculates it as old RAP plus one tenth of the gap between the sale price and the old RAP, so an item that sells once or twice a year keeps a RAP anchored to old, cheaper sales. The Beach Ball Head shows a RAP of 49,744 R$ against a 320,000 R$ ask for this reason.

How much do you keep when you resell a classic Limited?

You keep 70% of the sale price on a classic Limited resale, because Roblox takes a 30% marketplace fee. That means a copy bought at 4,500 R$ has to sell for roughly 6,430 R$ before you break even, which matters a lot on slow-moving items like these.
